I don't trust the liberal western media to portray the Sochi Olympics in a positive light no matter what happens. I read that they were exterminating the dogs, which liberals got mad about, but now apparently it's in vogue for them to complain about the dogs. Then after the dogs are gone they'll complain some more I guess.
RIGHT! The opening ceremony (what I could see of it in between an avalanche of commercials) was spectacular. Let the games begin and ignore Spoiled Whiney Americans.
Or the cameras could have spotted the guests leaving the hotel and the cleaning staff saw a shower being left on. Perhaps the guest forgot to turn off the shower while waiting for it to warm up, due, perhaps. to a problem with the hot water supply. Parts of the water system would have to be drained to repair the boiler. This will discolour the hot water supply for a short time after the repair. This happens with every large hot water system all over the world unless the system is new. Only because it is happening in Russia are the west making a fuss
Oh yeah! I turned on to a discussion which was blasting Costas of NBC for praising Putin, and one person screamed doesn't he know they are our enemy?
it isn't enemy thing, its merely 'sour grapes' kinda envy on the part of West media who grudge Russia's success.
You know what? I'm not going to argue with you. I'm all for pride and appreciation of your home country. It signifies a necessary strength...and the West could stand to do a little more of it.
Looks like the right's hero Pootin is being made a fool again. Maybe he'll call Obama and beg him for some more help, huh?
They are trying to find fault so they could hurt Russia economically since it wasn't willing to destroy itself to make the U.S. and E.U. happy. I mean how dare Russia not bow down to them? Of course all this will cause some tit for tat responses by Russia, such as the telephone call which was revealed between Nuland and the Amer. Ambassador in Ukraine. In the meantime the athletes were simply awed by the magnificence of the opening ceremony... as was the whole world. Bravo Putin, you did it!
Oh so it wasn't Putin which pulled Obama out of a jam with Syria, it was the other way around. Interesting! Anyway I know what you posted was only a joke, so you have no reason to worry. No one will take you seriously.
I'm not talking about Syria, although your premise is incorrect. I'm talking about Pootin begging Obama for help with security at the Olympics.
I read that the accommodations for the athletes surpass those of every other Olympic game. Of course the ones who want to hurt Russia for not bowing down to their wishes, will never mention that.
I watched the opening ceremonies last night, and the coverage sucked. The commentators kept talking about the star that didn't turn into a ring. They mentioned that "some cosmonauts were on the stage", but they didn't say Valentina Tereshkova, the first woman to go into space, was there, but they did mention the name of the costume designer. And nobody said a word about the USA Ugly Sweater Club, come on, wasn't that a national embarrassment?
Latest news from sochi is about a member of a bobsleigh team who had to break through his bathroom door because it wouldn't open from the inside... Perfect exemple of soviet engineering and architecture.
There IS a silver lining to all these Sochi Problems, now even the terrorists are afraid to go to Sochi!
So why hasn't Putin released this surveillance footage to the world so that we can see for ourselves?
Well at least the poor security guys have video cameras and no longer have to spy through the bathroom keyhole.
I'll bet you don't have a source for that, do you? Do you mean the star that didn't turn into a ring that the Russian people didn't see on TV because when it happened they switched to video of the rehearsal when it didn't happen? Ahh...no wonder you republicans love Pootin and Russia so much. Just like them you fall for the smoke and mirrors.
Sounds to me like some malcontents are looking for just about anything they can grab on to, in order undermine the most outstanding Olympics that have ever been held.
Yeah, but weren't they gorgeous smoke and mirrors. Didn't you just love the doves at the end, and the eighty foot troika horses at the beginning? The creativity and technology was brilliant, I must say.
