England's education does need reform as well I don't see why you have gotten so defencive? The fact that students go through metal detectors must show you how much work needs to be done.

I see it as a problem with America as a whole, everyone has guns! Police have guns; every day men have guns; women have guns; children have guns and criminals have guns. American culture is also at fault, disrespect and disregard for the law is idolised, you should try to correct this.

after reading some of the left responses I think it most be true..our public schools are not doing their job very well..several recent studies have proven that a college graduate now has about the the same educational level as a high school graduate did in the 60s...

 

Bingo, you hit it right on the nose. At one time we had disipline in our schools. It started in the lower grades and by the time kids got to Jr. High and High School, they knew how to behave. My wife was a school teacher in Chicago for two years and quit. She couldn't control her class room and didn't feel she could teach the way she should. But Liberals not only took disipline away from the class room, they took it away from the parents and we are seeing the results of it.

 

In fact home schooling and private schools for Muslims have been growing. Oh look most are teaching creationism according to the Quran. Where is the progressive outrage.

Completely agree, the same thing has happened in England although not as bad, misbehaving children used to be caned if they misbehaved at school, I'm not suggesting we should bring that back but it does show how tough discipline was. What we should remember also is that a disciplined child is a disciplined adult when they grow up.

 

It would worry me if Muslims parents are teaching kids the Koran. We know how many Muslims have taken old passages from the Koran and used them to justify attacks on non Muslims.

 

I don't care if they teach their children their religious beliefs. I just like showing the progressives their fails and hypocritical views

 

It's been my personal experience that home schoolers know less than the public education system when it comes to science, as many of them are faith based and don't want messy things like Science to get in the way of their religions.

Are you talking about Muslims? Because homeschooling is on the rise because of their regions beliefs. Do they not have to teach evolution in homeschooling?
I don't care if any of them teach that the universe was created by Obama and evolution. As long as the child has both. He or she can grow up and came decide for themselves. It's called critical thinking. Something we don't teach anymore. If the child decides to be a skeptic or a believer that's for them to decide. Not the government.

I'm a skeptic myself but for the progressive to tell me how horrible it is for homeschooled kids to learn creationism along side of evolution while their progressive public schools are failing kids so miserably.
