Yea it's pretty sad. The truth is, most progressives have better things to do than troll these forums. They also aren't on rageahol 24/7 from FOX, Breitbart, Drudge, et al. I work in in the political communications sphere, so I view it as a form of field research.

If Michelle's program is solely responsible for the drop in child obesity, then I give her full credit, because obesity is a serious epidemic in our country. But like most trends in society there's never one factor that contributes into statistics like these. Either way, first ladies have plenty of public capital and good for the first lady for picking a worthy cause.

 

I think that statement might be a little smug, but on the other hand, if you look at the most frequent posters here, literally all of them are conservative talking heads, and they spend so much time posting (just look at the time stamps on some of these people), its almost like its their job... which is a little bit of a disturbing concept.

 

Yea, it's totally smug. I'm not a humble or nice person. These people are little more than shock troops bred by a conservative media complex built on perpetual outrage. The worst part is that it's wrapped up into their identity now, which makes taking a step back all the more difficult. Not to mention the fact they can use motivated reasoning that complex affords to swat away any pesky dissenting information. Just look at climate change deniers.

As for the op, i guess a reduction in obesity in ONLY 2-5 year olds which isn't even cited as being due to Moochelles overly hated program is a heck of a win for libs.

Also, am I the only one who is skeptical of a federal study that proves a federal plan is working ? Why not an independent study ? That is like Mcdonalds saying that their burger is more healthier now and is helping people lose weight, and doing their own study to prove it...
