Where's the referendum on Chechen or Dagestani independence, Russia?

Dagestan and Chechen wanted to be in Russia. Terrorists do not vote. If they will separate, they will become Alquaeda centers.

May be some eastern Ukraine provinces will follow Crimea and ask to join Russia. They do not like western nationalists.

Amusing. The Chechens were seeking their independence from Russia loooooooooong before Abdullah Azzam and Osama bin Laden were even a glimmer in their fathers' eyes.

Yes, but the government in Kiev is illegal and not recognized by the Crimea or Russia. In light of this latest news I have to take back what I said about our State Department being stupid, either that or they are looking for trouble. You don't give ultimatums to Vladimir Putin, Russia is not Serbia.

Here is the response by the Crimean Prime Minister, Sergey Aksyonov who said he was bewildered by the threats of sanctions coming from the West with regard to the situation in Crimea:

“We live here, we can choose our future on our own – since when is it punishable by sanctions? What is this, political persecution? In Lvov, (western Ukraine) a military installation was seized, the prosecutors and police were thrown out and regional authorities were self-proclaimed – and nobody imposed any sanctions,” Aksyonov told journalists at a media conference.

“As soon as the Russians for the first time concentrated on defending their interests – and not just Russians did, the Ukrainians living here did also, everyone got agitated and started talking sanctions. Do we advise America or Germany how to deal with their autonomous regions and tell people what to do? This is their own right, as is the right of the Crimeans for self-determination

This is what the E.U. and U.S. is frightened of. It seems the E.U. wants the whole of Ukraine, not just half of it.

Jeannette: You posted (in part)....." I read that there is a video going around about a man who was beheaded Islamic style in Kiev. Nobody knows his identity... yet Kiev will not make any mention of him. I guess it's not politically feasible for them. It's assumed he was a policeman. "

    You read this where ?

    What is " Islamic-style" beheading ??

Who assumes it was a policeman ???

I see a lot of SVR desinformatsia- and precious little factual material in your posts.

    Is this by design ????
