I think Obama is a good man and his heart is in the right place.

I have no doubt he wants to help this country and to bring up the poor. I don't hate him as some seem to do. I just think he doesn't know enough about business to help create more jobs. I think I showed some of that in another thread called (Romney's history of shipping our jobs overseas.) Right now, jobs is what it's all about.

I also think Obama will try any trick to get reelected. He has tried to turn the woman vote against Republicans by saying they have a war against women. He says Republicans hate Hispanics and Blacks. To to be fair, Republican have a lot of E-mail going around that only states half truths.

I wouldn't really give you a nickel for either Party. I think they are more interested in gaining power than doing what's good for our country. But there is only two parties that have a chance to win, so I have to go with the one I think will bring in more jobs. I think that's the Republicans. But I must admit, I haven't heard a lot from their side that impresses me. Cutting spending is needed I agree. But to cut spending you also have to cut jobs and I don't like that at all.

Obama is not a good man with his heart in the right place. Obama is an evil man who thinks it should be legal to kill babies even after they've been born. Even the majority of Democrats disagree with Obama's extreme pro-abortion/pro-infanticide stance.

And that is why I respect you Marine. Too many- of both the left and the right- feel this need to inspire hatred against those they oppose. There are perfectly valid reasons to oppose either Obama or Romney- but I think both are reasonably good men- for politicians that is. I don't hate either of them- never hated Bush either.

Obama has been the worst thing that ever happened to the poor since Herbert Hoover.

I dislike what I have seen of Romney's personality. But if he's effective, I couldn't care less about his personality.

I like what I have seen of Obama's personality. I think he's been as effective as can reasonably be expected in the circumstances, certainly more effective than his European counter-parts.

To hate a politician is absurd. You don't even know them.

Effective? So's herpes and cancer. But enough about CEO's....hey...I know...why not just hire headhunters from a small foreign country to "chop chop". They're effective too!

lol this is a joke. Obama is a sociopath and evil beyond comprehension. He's a good enough man to care about him and his. The rest of us can burn for all he cares.

Governments and Economies aren't supposed to run on "heart". They run on cold hard facts and numbers! The NUMBERS show this economy is KAPUT and incapable of supporting the social safety net that your good buddy Obama would like to inflict upon us.

Let us face facts. The 1% are smarter and more innovative than all the dumbasses trying to fleece them and aren't going to just sit by and let a bunch of pitchfork and torch peasants and their populist handlers get a single flat dime!

The Founding Fathers intended a society free of the heavy boot of an oppressive Government and social consequences be (*)(*)(*)(*)ed.

Why talk about the founding fathers? You are in direct opposition to them the vast majority of the time.

Please. You libertarians need to get off your (*)(*)(*)(*)ing high horse. Businesses need a certain amount of infrastructure in order to function to their highest efficiency and compete. Whats good for business is good for America. An 18th century agrarian Government is incapable of providing that infrastructure and you (*)(*)(*)(*)ing know it.

Obama is a great man who lived the American dream and went from barely anything to the most powerful position in the world. The right have just waged war against Obama and will do anything and everything to paint him as a non-American. It is quite sickening to watch. Even if you disagree with his policies, which are the same policies many people have had on the left and moderate side for over a century, you can still acknowledge him as a good man and American.

It's just annoying seeing the inconsistency of some people. I mean look at the progressives, they just got it over with and call the founders outdated, racist white bigoted terrorists. I almost respect that more because in the end the neocon/establishment republicans and socialist liberal progressive dems respect the founders just the same: as much as my toilet paper.

Obama may very well be a good man. His policies have nothing but trash sense he was in office, but who is to say all the blame is on him? Congress is a problem also. This country has been doomed sense WW2 it been nothing but crooks who only wish to further gain in their own life.

We have a fascist-like collaboration between big businesses and government. Government is bribed to make policies that stifle competition for the major corporations.

Yet Romney's top suggestion has been we all borrow money from our parents to start our OWN businesses.

Romney knows NOTHING about running businesses. All he knows is how to take a fortune handed to him by an extremely wealthy and well-connected father and make some money off of that stripping the value of everyone else's work.

We don't need that for the country. Its just GWBush all over again.

Obama has done such a fine job of keeping out economy floating just above rock bottom. We need four more years of that like a kick in the ass.

Unfortunately, nice guys, likeable guys don't necessarily make good presidents. Trying harder isn't of value unless something gets better. I think Obama is likeable also. I just realize he's a slime politician like all the rest of the politicians.

That's an interesting perspective, but it's worth raising a few points:
    1) Obama cannot be reelected, so your idea that "Obama will try any trick to get reelected" is logically flawed.

    2) Let's say you own a company that manufactures "widgets". You employ 100 people, and your company manufactures/sells 1000 widgets per month. If there is no increase in customer demand, why would you increase your costs (decrease your profits) by hiring more people that you don't need? You wouldn't. Not even if your profits were through the roof... No matter how big a tax break your business gets.
The only realistic reason to hire more people is if your monthly customer demand went up. If, for example, 1100 customers wanted widgets each month, you'd probably hire an extra 10 people to meet the increased demand.
So, rather than giving the top 1% massive tax breaks, why not distribute that money across the spectrum of average consumers - so that more of them can afford to buy widgets each month... which will create more jobs...

So, at worst, he's kept it above "rock bottom"...?
Compared to the last guy, who took it to rock bottom, that alone would be a major accomplishment - particularly while dealing with a congress that has made it a point to obstruct his every step.

Of course, I would argue that record corporate profits are a long way from "just above rock bottom"... Now, if only "trickle down" actually worked...

I notice you dodged the rest of that post, where I illustrated that our economy actually improved as a result of the actions he took.

did some of you negatives even read the OP? hes saying he believes Obama has his heart and plans in the right place! personally i agree with this, but what i think the problem is that he overestimated himself when he came up with these plans, and he should have worked harder on them, and the way he came out with these plans probably wasn't the right way(ex: obamacare). but seriously im tired of everyone just blaming ONE guy for everyones problems. ive seen some ridiculous post like 'tennage girl gets brutally raped: where were you obama?' or 'obama is the enemy cuz hes (maybe) muslim!'(which tbh is getting very old!) Blame all of america people! i notice how on one side you got the people who want to go back to the dark ages, and deny specific groups or genders their rights, and you have the people who want change! right now its just a big tug-o-war, and the Republicans and Democrats arent gonna be settling their diffrences anytime soon to fix these problems!

in short: evryone gonna hate who they voted for regardless so why complain?
