Just smoked a few hits from my bowl (legally) not too long ago. I feel great. Head is clear. Marijuana is amazing. So much cheaper than alcohol too.

Alcohol is legal too. You can still have your alcohol...no one is going to take it away from you.

Just because Pete got a toy for good grades, doesn't mean Jim is entitled to the toy he wants

The war on drugs is a clear violation of the 8th ammendment. In the other hand the constitution is just a piece of paper,so, who cares?

Each year, an estimated 443,000 people die prematurely from smoking cigs.

Each year, an estimated 35,000 people die prematurely from drinking alcohol (excluding automobile accidents).

Each year an estimated 40,000 people die from drunk drivers. Tests done by government studies show that drivers who have smoked pot are much more alert (because they are paranoid), drive more cautiously & slower, don't lose their motor skills to the degree of a drunk and can pass sobriety tests better, and as soon as the government starts admitting the results are valid it will show even though people under the influence of cannabis should not be driving they are much safer on the roads than drunks, drowsy drivers, and soccer moms on over prescribed medications.

Most people who smoke pot will be still smoking pot when it is legal and just because it is legal it will not make the people who never liked it before to suddenly start smoking.

The alcohol that is still being made on the black market is stronger grades of alcohol that is still prohibited by the government for sale.

The war on marijuana is utter and total failure, the costs are ridiculously wasteful, and the destruction of families and communities to overpopulate our corporate prisons is the consequences of that failure.

Very few (if any) non-gonvernment issued coins ever have collectible value.

    BUZZT...

Unless you only know like 2 people, I guarantee you some of your friends are at least occasional user. If you knew me from a work environment, you'd never think I am. But I am.

When we get a marijuana leaf on a government issued legal tender coin, the tide has REALLY turned.

Now you're just being a (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*). Repeating the same thing over and over again is not debate, it's third grade. And this isn't third grade.

Well, perhaps, for you, it is.

I gotta disagree, here. I think you've just got a stereotype of weed-smokers in your head. That's not reality. I bet you know a ton of pot-smokers that you don't even know are pot-smokers because they don't fit the stereotype and you've never caught them smelling like weed.

You can't even begin to compare the poor-decision-making power of weed with alcohol. They're on completely different levels. There's a reason it's called drunk-dialing, and why it's drunk people that beat up their spouses, and drunk people that crash cars (occasionally into innocent people), and drunk people that get into gunfights over yo mama jokes. Weed is maybe -- MAYBE -- responsible for a similar number of bad sexual hook-ups. Maybe. But that's the only area where they might conceivably even be close.

Pot just makes you giggle. Maybe you don't like giggling people. That's fine. Everybody's got their hang-ups. But a world where everybody is stoned is much funnier, happier and safer than a world where everyone is drunk. That's statistics, that's experience, that's reality.

When pro pot crowds biggest argument is

"Well, alcohol can" its no different than a 3rd grader pitching a tantrum in a store to try to get mommy to buy him that toy

"But Jim's mom got a toy for him....life's not fair, you're stupid, waaaaaahhhhhhhh"

A single joint of Cal. Sense is going to have the approx. effect as having a 1.4% Blood Alcohol Level.

The amount of alcohol necessary to get a person quickly to 1.4% is a hell of a lot more detrimental to the Human Body than smoking that Joint.

I personally don't smoke and I know there are Alcoholics and there as Pot Heads....and either one used in MODERATION can actually have HEALTH BENEFITS....as a couple drinks a day can lower Cholesterol and smoking a small amount of Pot a day can lower Hypertension and Stress.

Point is....neither should be illegal and in Massachusetts neither are.

In the same way that you value your kids less than alcohol?

    - - - Updated - - -

You're the kid who already has a toy and doesn't want the other kids to have one so you can feel special.
