FOX should be banned for a very simple reason, they pump out hate. There is a principle in humanity called emotional contagion and those that watch FOX start to behave as FOX commentators.

FOX produces nothing but lies and propaganda for the purpose of creating its own audience of rage filled zealots. FOX fills the needs of the people who are already slightly unhinged and wish to blame others for life's challenges, and turns them into even worse and more vile citizens.

I believe it is time to restore the fairness doctrine and get propaganda media off of the airwaves.

I can see that whole organization "imploding" (for some as yet unknown reason); they will 'end' themselves I think.

And yes. The fairness doctrine (or some effective form of it) does need to be implemented.

na, we dont need the government infringing on freedom of the press.

Just cause FoxNews tells people a view point different than what obama tells MSNBC to report on, doesnt make them wrong.

Why do you want to restrict the freedom of the press?

Hasnt the government destroyed enough of the bill of rights already?

The NSA has already destroyed the 4th and 5th amendments.

Obama and pals try and destroy the second amendment every single day of the week....

and now youre advocating for the destruction of 1st amendment?

I got an idea, why dont we demand a government that actually follows the constitution? Is that too much to ask?

NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, CNN, and MSNBC pump out hate. The NYT, WaPo and HuffPo spew forth nothing but lies. What about them?

No, with Fox it isn't merely a different viewpoint. It's far more than that. To think otherwise is just naive.

FOX news isn't press. The press serves the interest of the public by informing them. FOX news is hate propaganda. Which creates conflict in the public and harms society.

If FOX ever was considered press, it lost that title when it won the right to lie under the terms of the 1st amendment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jane_Akre

If you consider that the Airwaves were first granted to the Networks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairness_Doctrine), based on the agreement that the Networks would set air time aside to inform the public, then you have to know that some networks have breached that agreement.

FOX new is run my a greedy psychopath name Murdoch, who makes his money by satiating peoples desire to feel victimized.

i.e. "It's not my fault I iz poor, it iz them welfare people." (sic)

I don't watch MSNBC either, their need to over compensate for FOX make them just as bad.

I find it odd that you would laugh at the term "Emotion Contagion". Perhaps you should read up on the topic, instead of celebrating your ignorance of it.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotional_contagion

The phrase "emotional contagion" embodies the idea that humans will synchronize their personal emotions with the emotions expressed by those around them, whether consciously or unconsciously, and thus that an emotion conveyed by one person will become "contagious" to others.

Um no, news is suppose to report truth, truth doesn't have opinion.

Your post is a perfect example that some people believe that bias is reporting.

Prove that "they pump out hate".

I don't think you're going to fool anyone. The reason you want FOX gone is because it's the only major opponent of the liberal media, and you want total control. It's not enough to own Hollywood, all broadcast networks, most newspapers, and Academia.

I dare you to find something on FOX that approaches this level of vitriol and divisiveness. But, of course, you won't have any problem with it:

Nope, Theyre right far far more than MSNBC.

Just look at the George Zimmerman case as perfect proof.

MSNBC edited Zimmermans 911 call make him look like a racist, for no other reason than to cause chaos and push obamas racial agenda.

I fined it odd you want to bypass 1A. Maybe you should not be celebrating your ignorance based on pers. feelings.

Here you go, please read up.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    1) Banning FOX would be unconstitutional

    2) Channels such as MSNBC do the stuff you mentioned on a far larger scale than FOX (A Pew study showed that Fox is 55% opinion and 45% factual reporting, while MSNBC is 85% opinion and 15% factual reporting). Of course, FOX is the worst perpetrator since you don't agree with them

Excuse me, Mr WW(Jesus)D? (I bet)----what is the most righteous, unbiased, and accurate major media outlet in the US. Canada does not interest me.

Once you list it, please name a single practicing Christian that owns it, is on the Board of Directors or is senior news editor or producer on the network.

No it wouldn't. There are limitationation to free speech such as libel and fighting words. FOX news often skirts those limitation by putting a question mark behind their commentary. i.e. "Is Obama a muslim terrorist born in Kenya?"

It isn't a valid defence to say that MSNBC is worse. That is like saying "I watch shioty news A because shioty news B is more full of shiot."

Why does it matter if it is owned by a Christian? Fox news is owned by a Muslim. Does that effect your love of the channel?

And the best news outlets in America are "Al Jazeera" and "BBC America".

If you actually watched Fox news, you would know that Fox has both news and opinion. They are separate shows, just like done on any other news network (including NPR).

Give me one example of FOX saying stuff like "Is Obama a muslim terrorist born in Kenya". I'm getting the feeling that you have never watched FOX.

Yet another reason I watch Fox: They didn't report on a bridge shutdown for 3 months right after we just watched the feds shut down thousands of flights across the nation.

I have watch FOX. I would equate it to a terrorist network.

Look how they cheered America into the stupidity of Iraq.
