He's right. The First Amendment says that the government cannot support or impede religion. Atheism/Naturalism is a religion that believes there is no god. This is unconstitutional.

Such an elegant and simple concept, yet one many fail to grasp

Na that fair enough - just have this image of a crusty old commander looking at a tractor tailer full bones scratching his head wondering what the hell he was supposed to do with that lot lol

How long will it be before the Alabama Supreme Court decides Ham is right?

A "science" that relies on leaps of faith (no hard evidence) to make it so, is indeed a religion.

There's nothing right about his tactics aside from the wing.

He's flat-out lying in an effort to break the very same Constitutional protections that he's claiming as the basis of his "case".

    How so?

Frankly I think it's a giant leap of faith to equate a leap of faith to an organized religion. Has the fossil filed for tax-exempt status? Has anyone been ordained as a minister of the fossil?

Fortunately, evolution does not rely on a leap of faith. It simply relies on evidence.

Science needs at least some evidence to be taken seriously; religions doesn't need any. That's a big difference.

There's a heck of a lot more evidence for evolution than there is for God.

There are zero leaps of faith in science. You think there are because you are ignorant of scientific evidence.

Life allegedly emerged from some primordial ooze, why can we land rovers on Mars.......create genetically modify food, kill cancer cells with protons but we've NEVER been able to create life from inert ingredients with all the modern technology we have today? It takes as big a leap of faith to believe it happened all by itself in a swamp, as it does that a higher being created it.

Actually there are over 23 Labs at Universities and Private R&D Facilities who have claimed to have generated GENESIS in the lab.

Out of 23 there are 13 claims that have been checked and 6 of those 13 claims have been established to have achieved at the least 4 Steps of Protocol out of a total of 10 where 10 steps being climbed denotes having been CERTIFIED of Artificially creating Genesis in the Lab.

3 of 13 Claims have achieved 7 steps and 1 has achieved 9 steps and it is said by late summer this one lab should be at that time Certified having achieved all 10 Steps of Protocol to having Artificially Creating Genesis in the Lab.

Here is a link that talks about the ALREADY DONE...creation of Synthetic Life in the Lab.

    LINK....http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2010/05/20/scientists-announce-produce-living-cell-using-manmade-dna/

Now what these 23 Labs are currently doing is attempting to use Non-Living DNA....much in the way a Virus is not alive but does have DNA....and upon an Atomic and Molecular Level reorganize and add to this Non-Living DNA and thus create LIFE FROM LIFELESSNESS.

This LINK is to the creation of a Synthetic Cell but that is more like recreating from a form of life.

There are currently 100's of labs and Universities WORLDWIDE attempting to create a Synthetic Cell from Non-Living DNA....and one is very close to being certified that it did.

Ol' Hammy is probably still looking for the evidence that T. Rex was a herbivore.

Evolutionists want us to believe that life just came together from existing inert ingredients in a swamp somewhere.

Transplanting man made DNA into an already living cell comes NOWHERE near what it take for life to spring out a swamp from completely inert ingredients.

Again for clarity...........For the moment, we will just state that all of the components required in forming this bacterium were already in existence. This research, while brilliantly executed, has nothing to do with evolution in the molecules-to-man sense.

DNA is simply a MOLECULE and DNA does not just exist in Life.

Thus modifying Non-Living DNA is EXACTLY what happened in some Ocean Tidal Pool Billions of Years Ago.
