I'm not asking you to bite. I'm telling you how I feel, and that I don't care if you feel the same way or not. I can behave however I like with or without your consent.

Apology accepted. I apologize also, since your taxes help support my government welfare salary. Have a nice evening as well, but don't stay up too late, I need you up and at em tomorrow morning at work, these taxes aren't going to grow themselves.

Greed is coveting other people's money, such as you are doing. No shame, no pride.

I'm not coveting anything, quite the opposite. I feel bad for all you guys running in that rat race, because you are busy chasing things in attempt to prove your own self-worth, while I have already found mine without said material goods.

Once your job gives you their money it becomes yours doesn't it? Or is it still their money you stole? I was born in America, I EARNED this.

The money you stole from me you mean because you are lazy. Butt prints on a couch are not something this country needs.

I don't sit on the couch. I play with my kids at the park all day.

I used to be like you: a slave to the grind. I wasn't happy, too much debt, too much stress. Now I'm happy, you should be happy for me. Besides I paid taxes into the system when I was younger, I'm basically just getting back what I paid in. Its like Karma or something. I think I'll call it Tax Karma.

People like you have no pride and are a burden on society. Other people's money, all you care for. Greed.

Like I said, its pretty much just the government giving me back my own money, not "yours" you greedy little man.

You are proud to be a slug. Welfare is not your money. Greed is coveting other's money. You are just a greedy pot head which explains a lot.

Well, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree here. I want to thank you for continuing to bust your hump for the man, I couldn't do it without you, literally.

I'm doing it right applying for SSI and then use that to not have to work, the government and private charities have these programs if I qualify there is nothing wrong with taking advantage of them fully. I have a very good chance to get SSI. I may need to go before a judge to do so but these programs are there to help the Disabled.

I don't begrudge those who have physical or mental disabilities that prevent them from holding a job of any substance...however an able bodied person who prefers a meager government supported subsistence living in someone's basement, playing video games all day, smoking pot and generally doing nothing...a life that is basically a permanent weekend. Well, it's hard to respect those type of people. Even a guy or gal, grinding it out at a fast food restaurant, delivering pizza, waiting tables, stocking shelves..has some pride left. I always make it a point to tip well. A pizza delivery person will get a 10 spot from me. I know gasoline isn't cheap, and driving around in bad weather or heavy traffic so a shlub like me can get a warm pizza...isn't the sort of job that pays very well. I'll tip a waitress 20%, the person who cuts my hair...20%. I know their life isn't easy, but they get up in the morning, they show up to work sober and groomed, and they do the best they can to support themselves. I don't even begrudge those who work in the lower paying jobs needing and getting government subsistence to make ends meet. However the folks sitting in some dingy basement or room...a life centered around surfing for porn, bong hits, video games and waiting for their government check. Laughing to themselves..."go off and work suckers, I'm living large off the tax payers." I'm not going to respect them very much.

A guy who works a full shift at McDonalds, walks to the bus stop in the freezing cold or blazing sun...may grumble to themselves "where's my piece of the pie," I may actually listen to them, because I respect the fact they are at least out there trying to support themselves. A person proud of the fact they live primarily on government subsistence; proud of the fact their bong and video game console is all they need in life...well it's difficult to respect this sort of mindset.

And everything you have comes from someone who was probably busting their butt 12-16+ hours a day. The calculus that was invented that allows you and me to communicate using the hunk of metals and plastics at our feet (our computers) was invented through the hard work of Newton (and the others he built upon). I believe at one point he locked himself away in his apartment for a couple of years while working on inventing calculus. My car, the rubber used in its tires and many other products I use, the electricity I'm using right now, all due to the tireless work of individuals. When I look around my apartment, I can find almost nothing that I use that came into my hands because of government. The reason you and I even have leisure time to spend with our kids, or whatever else, is because of these products, that came about through the hard work of individuals. That's because the biggest gift Ford, Edison, Newton, Mitsubishi, Goodyear, Gates, Jobs have given us is time. I've met few people who want to go back to the way it used to be: where you spent every waking hour just taking care of that day's survival needs. There was no time to spend with the kids in leisure. There was only hard work, all day long, just to live. Hard work, by many individuals, over centuries have allowed us the time to do things that aren't related to survival. Governments come and go over these same centuries, they don't give us squat.

I just feel bad for your kids.

Resources create wonderful experiences and nowadays money has been chosen to be more efficient than bartering. You don't have to have a new car or clothes, I sure didn't.

Even with a small amount of money we had, my family found room for us to see the Grand Canyon, The Black Hills, Niagara Falls, The Opreyland Hotel (sp?) and the only one we ever flew to, Hawaii.

All in probably the same type of condition car you drive now. My father used his resources to show us as much of the world as he could all while teaching us the valuable lesson of hard work and it's just rewards.

I can't even count how many times I heard him say "I want you to have a better life than me". I plan to offer the same for my children while you are handicapping yours.

But hey, what's no choice other than mediocrity, compared to thousands of days at the park.

I agree. Thank God we've worked so hard as a species for so long that I can finally stand on my grandfathers shoulders and relax a little. I appreciate all the hard work. We have finally arrived.

Congratulations, I'm accomplishing the same thing while working less. I feel bad your dad didn't choose to spend more time with you and less time making the rich richer.
