I will admit that both bushes were piles of (*)(*)(*)(*), but Reagan, Nixon, and Eisenhower were all honorable men.

Hilliary Clinton, I see with good probabilty(75-90%) as running. If she doesen't-Biden. Or maybe Kerry. I really, really, really hope Clinton doesen't win though. Christie was ahead in the polls for a bit, then after bridgewater, it sloped dramatically. Funny thing is bridgewater, the scandal, ended up being found out to be fake, but it still may of hurt him to much. It's sad, people want to slander him.

a couple of things to think about

    - in 2007 and 2008 it was pretty much a given that any Democrat would win because of the unpopularity of Bush. The situation is reversed now with Obama's numbers being in the toilet

    - Hillary had some baggage that carried over from Bill's terms she had to defend even in 2007/2008. Now she has to defend her own mediocre at best performance as SoS and of course there was her famous 3Am phone call ad which just begs Benghazi to be brought up

    - She is older, tired, and probably still a little ticked off over Obama getting pushed over her in 2008

I'm thinkin Plugs Biden. He would provide the most comic relief on the way to the democrats loss in 2016.

The upshot though is that without Hillary the Left doesn't have a chance of winning in 2016. But to make it really interesting if she does run, it will be after the eighth year of a seriously dismal Obama Presidency and that's when traditionally the nation is in the mood to give the other side a chance. Oh dear!

Of course, since right wingers had the biggest collective brain fart in history after a half black guy was elected, and in turn have insulted every non white/perceived non white minority in America, one has to acknowledge that if the GOP pulls off a win in 2016, it will have to be done on entirely the strength of the white vote. But hell, the GOP has been winning elections and electing lousy president after lousy president since the 1960's, all done on the strength of the white vote, so 2016 will be no different.

Leftwingers seem to have no idea just how thoroughly the Dem Party with its endless race-baiting has ticked off the nation's Hispanic communities (reclassifying George Zimmerman as a White Hispanic strictly for the purpose of hating on him was an eye-opener) and Hispanics can see how the left routinely uses the Race Card and the Ethnic Card strictly for cynical political reasons. Hispanics simply are not as stupid as a group as White leftwingers believe. So depending on a Hispanic lock is not wise for the increasingly arrogant and clueless Left.

Then too you have all those college age youths who last year in that Harvard poll admitted that they had a massive case of voters' remorse where Barack Obama was concerned and wished that they could recall him after the fact. No automatic leftwing voting block there anymore. TWICE major league burned by both the in-the-tank-for-the-Dem-Party MSM and by the Dem Party itself in first intimating that Senator Barack Obama was their Political Messiah in 2008 (and then he turned out to be nothing more than G.W. Bush lite) and then as the only possible sane option in 2012 (and then he turned out to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse than Mitt Romney could ever have been) and they are not going to be automatic Dem Party voters again . . . ever. Nor can Leftwing political strategists rely on there always being a new influx of gormless new college age voters since their seniors are going to made damn certain that the clueless newbies get a giant ear-full of the real political lowdown on the MSM, the Dem Party leadership and just WHY Barack Obama has been a total piece of garbage.

    Are we having fun, yet?

As long as Angry White Guys persist in sniveling over those imaginary "Liberals!" that fester in their noggins, America's moderate electorate will continue to leave them to their fantasy life.

Most Americans who are likely to vote for Hillary Clinton for President are centrists. Pretending otherwise guarantees that she will succeed Obama.

Still spouting off faulty talking points, eh? Looks like you are getting desperate.

Oh, "we" are having a lot of fun reading your rants. It's hilarious, and it will be more hilarious the more angry and bitter you get as conservatism keeps getting thoroughly rejected over and over again.

I think the eggs are all in one basket right now. Warren would be awesome, but has firmly said no to a run, if she changes gears at this point it will look very fake.

The rest of the gang you mention are all considered political hacks, at least in most politically aware circles. Leadership is not just throwing the party line around, as illustrated by the last two republican presidential candidates.

No other democrat hopeful has yet been seriously exhibited.

For what it's worth, I agree that "Hispanics" aren't stupid. After all, all they have to do is spend a matter of 2 minutes on any right wing political forum, where right wingers are constantly calling them dead beats, low IQ, not fit to run this country the way white people can, etc. It's also essentially why very few, if any, came to the defense of some fat thug like Zimmerman, while right wing racists sucked at his teat all because he shot a black guy.

It's also why the GOP has never won the "Hispanic" vote, and never will. Hell, it's gotten so bad for the GOP with "Hispanics" that the only "Hispanic" group that always voted for the GOP (Cubans) are even starting to leave the party.

But yeah, keep hope alive in the future about winning that "Hispanic vote". Like I said before, just focus on the white vote because that's essentially the only voting bloc you'll ever win again. Hell, it's the only voting bloc the GOP has been consistently winning since the civil rights act was passed, so 2016 will certainly be no different.

Jerry Brown has been a very effectual governor of the Greatest State of California this term.
He is in no way the Governor Moonbeam of lore.

He created a surplus with a tax the rich referendum, along with a few other minor taxes for the rest of us -
and suddenly on April 15 when it went in effect - gobs and gobs of surplus funds.

The Liberals wanted expanded social programs but, pragmatist Brown insisted on a "rainy day fund".
He can certainly make the case that D.C. needs someone other than a career Federalist.

A wise Vice Presidential pick of someone with "international experience" would aid his candidacy.

BTW I don't believe Warren's Native American scandal will stick
anymore than Hillary being fired from the Senate Watergate Investigation Committee for lying.

Oh, and regarding that Harvard poll that right wingers love bringing up, I'll just post a link to another forum where they discussed that poll. One particular poster by the name of "eisegesis" actually did a bit of research beyond the right wing talking points, and found out some interesting things: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread986157/pg1

Looks like we have another right wing argument/talking point utterly destroyed by the facts. How sad.

Pssst . . . historical revisionists are fun! G.W. Bush got elected twice due to the nation's Hispanic voters. Perhaps Dem Party propagandists should consider -- you know -- accepting reality rather than using it as a form of toilet paper.

The Bush received a hefty 44% of the Hispanic vote in 2004, up sharply from the 35% he was able to garner in 2000. Then McCain managed to get 33% in 2008, and Romney 27% in 2012.

Perhaps, the GOP should return to Bush the Lesser's proposal of comprehensive immigration reform that had stringent requirements for undocumented workers' path to citizenship:

Willard's recommendation that 12 million folks follow his money and self-deport, didn't work very well.

If the GOP ever finds someone to nominate, he may want to go with a proposal more along the line of the exiled Bush.

Both Jabba and Randy now seem to have adopted the Dub's and Obama's reasonable approach:

"Yes, they broke the law, but it's not a felony. It's an act of love, it's an act of commitment to your family." Jeb Bush

[T]he Republican Party needs to be more welcoming to immigrants. I think the message for the Republican Party needs to be that we welcome you. If you want to work, we will find a place for you.” Rand Paul

Ssshh, right wingers aren't interested in hearing those facts. They think they can blatantly insult people, and then yet expect people to vote for them.

I'd argue that the GOP will never see that type of "Hispanic" support again though. Even Cubans are starting to get sick of them, and Cubans were essentially the only "Hispanic group" that usually tended to vote Republican. But as 2012 shows us, that's starting to change.

    - - - Updated - - -

Oh, and Bush wasn't elected due to "Hispanics", as Kerry was the one who won the "Hispanic" vote.

So, what I said was true. The GOP has never won the "Hispanic" vote, and never will.

If sufficient numbers of Hispanics had not voted for Bush in 2004 then he would not have been returned to office. Did you actually just play the 51% of a voting block's returns are ALL that matter, card? Sheesh!

Never is a very big word, After Hours. One could have said the same thing about Blacks in the Republican party years ago. Hispanics share many of the values of Republicans. I'm not predicting whole - sale conversion to Republicans, but stranger things have happened.

I think Elizabeth Warren might run If Hilary's failures and health stop her,

And yet, Bush still lost the "Hispanic vote" 58%-40%. Funny how that works out.

Edit: Then again, Right wingers call Bush a liberal, so I'm not really sure that means anything. According to your right wing brethren, the only "real conservative" elected in many years is Saint Ronnie Reagan.
