Thank you for raising the issue - I have noticed this all my life. Not so much in school (I went to an all-boys boarding school) but in society in general. I remember being put off the bus when I was like 12 because a bunch of girls who were sitting near me were making a rachet - so of course, I got the blame. Because boys like playing with guns, and tanks, and other military toys, as well as competitive sport, doesn't mean they will become mass murderers.

Oh and BTW, I wish Americans would stop misquoting the late First Lord of the Admiralty. The Warden of the Cinque Ports never said the words attributed to him in your signature lines. Amongst other things, the word 'liberal' had a totally different meaning in the UK of Churchill's era.

I won't exactly argue that there is a "War on Males", though I will argue that there has been a definite feminization of society.

 

Condoms are good for anyone regardless of age who plan on having sex.

If all men are going to do is raise boy to be arrogant jerks or violent fools... then certainly putting guns into their hands won't improve this society one single iota.

Of course some of them can be pretty tough, too.

The Left wants to turn all guys into those metrosexual fellows types on that television show about the three or four genius-level wimps who get their head spaces messed up by this pretty next door neighbor and her heterosexual lifestyle. But what they are managing to do instead is turn out hordes of neurotic underachievers. Oh and the posters laughing because this is happening to White guys had better perhaps stop to consider that it's also happening to Black guys in the public school systems as well. Oh and Brown guys as well. Metrosexualization of young males is not just a general goal of the Left . . . it is one facet of their Politically Correct cultural LAWs. Ain't that nice?

 

I can't remember precisely when this happened but there was a massive leftwing generated movement in either the late 1970s or early 1980s to emasculate all Saturday morning cartoons across the nation so that actual violent acts were forbidden and no toy weapons could be shown in advertisement spots for kids. The result was some few good shows like Scooby Doo but lots and lots of televised dreck so far as Saturday morning cartoons were concerned and yet STILL little boys eventually grew up to -- oh I dunno -- become cops and join the military and what not.

The early effort to take the 'male' out of males pretty much flopped. Unless you alter the bio-chemistry of males they are still going to remain mostly aggressive predator types with a patina of civilized demeanors as they mature. But what all this mucking about with their head spaces is going to do is turn out quasi schizophrenic types who are really messed up and huge numbers of whom are also chronic underachievers. Way to go leftwingers!
