The Western "news" media are playing symphonies of criticism against Vladsky Putin. Look what a total MESS he has made of everything:
    1. With the overwhelming support of Crimeans, he reclaimed that region back into Russia, protecting vital Russian interests in the Black Sea and Russia's permanent naval base at Sevastopol, with the Black Sea Fleet to safeguard the only year-round, warm-water passage it has.
    2. He finally demanded payment from Kiev for the billions that Ukraine owes Russia for natural gas already sold and provided to them, and announced that hereafter payment in advance will be required. This will put a halt to Kiev's corruption, theft, and complete financial irresponsibility.
    3. Vlad put together and sealed a $400 Billion Dollar natural gas deal with China.
    4. Vlad and China tightened their military alliance by agreeing to participate in joint military exercises in and over the East China Sea.
    5. Vlad held a big birthday celebration for his old friend, former German Chancellor, Gerhardt Schröder in St. Petersburg this month. Schröder is still very influential in Germany, which has been very unsupportive of "sanctions" against Russia....
    6. Vlad has just put together an economic alliance with both Kazakhstan and Belarus, strengthening the economies of all three countries.
    7. Vlad will be having a special visit with French President Hollande next week. Putin will be representing Russia in the celebration of World War II "D-Day" invasion against the Nazis. (BTW, the new Ukraine Pres. will be there, too, even though Ukraine was best known for its Nazi SS Galician divisions and Nazi collaboration during WWII.)

So, Vladimir Putin is an OBVIOUS FAILURE! Just look at what he has not done in 2014! Not one opportunity taken during an official state visit to a foreign country to blow around about the racism of a basketball team owner. Not one announcement about how he learns about government failures by watching the news on TV. Not one announcement about making a "total withdrawal" of forces from a foreign country that will leave 10,000 troops there, in addition to untold numbers of "private contractors". Not even one round of golf!

Obviously, Vladsky has his priorities all wrong! So, why in the world did Forbes name him (and not Obama) the most powerful leader in the world in 2013...? http://www.forbes.com/sites/carolinehoward/2013/10/30/the-worlds-most-powerful-people-2013/

That's a good addition for Putin. The Russians held a flawless winter olympics even though islamic terrorists had threatened to blow it up for months.

Is English your first language? Your reply was so senseless that a better question would be, is Earth your first planet?

Putin has yet to deal with the issue of Eastern Ukraine and its critical defense industry. Perhaps he is waiting for things to get bad enough there to justify his invoking the R2P (responsibility to protect) policy. At some point, it would be hard to criticize his doing so.

    Dear friend,

I do understand you I think. I do know where you are coming from. You are with all reason critical about your country and its system.

That spirit in all its strengh was, is and always will be the base of true american patriotism. But dear friend..I am from Europe. I did visit Russia many times. We do have many russians here. My country was occupied by russian forces...I do know Schröder (I voted for him ^^)...

Russian people are not bad. A lot are actually very nice people. Their mistake is often that they do NOT have what you do have to much (if you can have to much of that)

A sceptical view on the state.

Russians do mainly believe all they are told from the goverment...and its manipulated media.

It does change sometimes when they do live in a foreign country aslong as they mix up.

IN Russia, I met very very nice people...but most extrimily believing whatever they are told and very nationalistic.

Do you know my favorite german politician? NOT Bismarck, NOT Adenauer, NOT Helmut Schmidt...it is...the great patriot Willy Brandt!

That guy did go on his knees in Warszawa to apologize for Nazi crimes. And he was resistant to Hitler! Russia never had any Willy Brandt. But they had Stalin!

Putin is NOT stupit, I do agree. But he is out of reality and anything than WISE.

Russia does suffer from having a very aggressive society, from an alcohl problem, from having no industry, from a strongh minoritry complex of its president (sorry, but to show up like Rambo to me is sooo rediculous), from an enourmous polution, from beeing hated in a lot of countries....

I mean I do feel bad for all these russians who do deserve far better to tell you frankly. But you do have to think in the european way a little, or to add that to your in fact very honorable american way to think...

You do have the best intentions...but Putin is the wtin brother of George W. Bush, simply..Russia does not have your self critical mentality! There are no peopel to stop him! No free elections as you do have them!

Russia would never make a "Mississippi Burning" movie about Kafkas, the guy who would do that would find himself in Sibiria in a working camp!

Putin, briefly, he is a pure and dangerous fascist. The left wing americans I do like soooo much... they are naiv here. All these poeple in Russia..they would freak out after seeing the truth!

I am NOT a blind pro american, but I did understand the main things I guess. The USA is a country of freedom with strong mistakes, BUT YOU CAN CHANGE THAT AND MENTION THEM!

The Russian system is NOT anything close to our democracy. Putin hates everything he cannot control, he is antiintelectual, anti all what might be to or more intellegent then him...or simply oposed...

Think about my european german french words the day you turn on TV and you see russian troops enetering in Kiew, later in Moldova and Georgia...may be in Estonia...

Putin is a pain to every real democrat in Russia. He is dangerous. You are mistaken on his mentality Sir and that I do tell you with all symphatie...look why I write about Snowden and about the anglo-saxon finance industry...BUT:

The USA is a free country! You are a great democracy! Your country supports freedom and tolerance. THAT is what you do like as me. And that is exactly what Putin wont accept, if he feels something oposed.

Think about it please. I do not know you, but I think we both would go well along here and I could have a good beer with you.

    Take care

P.S. about Ukraine you are not 100% wro9ng at all. Antisemitism is known in that country. But that does not help it:

    Putin is a fascist

Hmm, nice strawman...no one has accused Putin of being stupid, Hitler wasn't stupid either btw, Putin's unprovoked invasion and annexation of parts of Ukraine did show the never changing ugly, aggressive, thieving face of Russia though.

The gas deal with China was accepted by Putin on terms that he had found unacceptable during the preceding 15 years of negotiations, they are concealing the price of gas to hide their embarrassment, Turkmenistan charges China higher price for its gas than Russia will.

PS Putin is Vladimir, not Vlad, these are different Russian names.

Who said Putin is stupid? He is pretty smart to be able to pull off a Hitler move into other countries without firing a shot (at least not directly). He is pretty smart to drum up nationalism like Hitler did so Russians will back his aggression.

And according to China the games at Sochi had reached a level higher than any Olympics ever held before them. even though the U.S. and its minions did everything to destroy them:

1 - They insulted Vladimir Putin by not attending, a rudeness which went beyond all known diplomatic courtesies, and which no country has ever dared to do to another country.

2 - Insulted the Russian people by trying to destroy the games with degrading pictures of facilities, even though they are considered the best facilities Olympic athletes have ever had.

3 - Began propaganda in the media about planned terrorist attacks during the games, so that people wouldn't attend and thereby hurt Putin and the Russian economy.

4 - Started the protests in Kiev during the games in order to distract from the games.

5 - Insulted Putin by having the U.S. Asst. Sec. of State Nuland handing out cookies, as if to tell him the U.S. now owns Ukraine.

6 - Further insulted Putin by having dignitaries from Germany, Poland, Czech. Rep., Lithuania join the protesters during the games.

So tell me now, what did the 'Empire of Chaos' :unclesam: and its 'Juvenile :giggle: Delinquent School of Diplomats' expect to gain from these childish:nana: pranks other than chaos? Maybe its time they were given a few lashes and put where they belong, in the 'Dunce' corner. :oldman:

LOL, now that is some propaganda there all right. Poor little Putin. Cookies are such a threat!

BTW, pictures of one Olympian having to bust out of his bathroom because the door would not open. Russian police in force because of threats of terrorism. Unfinished areas before the Olympics.

The Russian people were insulted because they were lied to by the Putin propaganda machine, as you well show.

The games in Sotchi where a desaster. The exact example how games should not be organized.

A desaster especially to the destroyed enviroment.

    An embassement indeed.

    Sotchi is indeed an embassement.

Games in London I did like. Thzat was a nice example.

    What greatness?

To invade into foreign land with massive advantage? To steal away Crimea? To send thousands of russian fascists / terrorists called "pro-russians"?
To discriminate homosexuals in Russia? To be fascistic with pro r iots by fighting anybody who does not agree to him? To blackmale with gas?

To pose like a pervert and showing up his minority complex with that?

He is not stupit. He is fascistic. An intellegent fascho. Goebbels wasn't stupit aswell.

The facilities at Sochi have been considered the best facilities the Olympic athletes ever had, and you d*mn well know that, so stop the corporate media spins. They were made with the intent of turning Sochi into a major resort.

If though there was a door that wasn't finished when the games started, then you're right in blaming Putin. Next time he shouldn't be so generous and give out contracting jobs to Turkish firms.

I think that Russia will behave in this conflict like the Soviet Union behaved in the Vietnam conflict.

Let the Americans get involved in the conflict, and just support the freedom fighters with weapons and volunteers.

At some point it will not be possible to hide the atrocities of the wannabe government against the civilians any more, and the wannabe government will be rescued by American helicopters and shipped to the USA, like it was the case with the marionettes, supported in Vietnam.

Fabien can I ask you something, and I want you to answer me in very simple terms. If somebody stole something from you, and then gave it to me as a gift, who do you think is the real owner of the stolen piece, me or you?

Crimea was stolen from Russia by Khruschev, don't you think that when the USSR broke up Ukraine should have given it back?
