According to today's Wikipedia current events, we can easily see the downfall of the short lived new Russia. Following the rise of a new president, an immediate full attack was put in place on the Donetsk International Airport. In a display of airborne might, the Ukrainian army leveled the airport and dropped troops in to pick off slackers. With most of New Russia's airports under government control, the nation is near 100% isolated.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-27584718#

In addition, we have found even more stacks of evidence that Russian soldiers have been fueling rioting and unrest. Which was never really disputed by sane people in the first place. What really upset people though, was the capture of 4 OSCE monitors, for the second time. Nearly every politician that was supporting Russia's actions revoked their statements, with several new public announcements condemning Russia.

^ Yes, that reminds me. Dozens of ethnic Russians were confirmed by monitors following Ukrainian battles. It is strongly believed that these are trained Russian soldiers, but Russia again plays the "volunteer" ploy. Notice audience, that they used this excuse during the Georgian Genocide and the Moldovan civil war, even though we once again confirmed Russian lies.

    Oh, and that reminds me.......

New Russia had a coup :woot:

Yup, that's right, New Russian leaders were completely overthrown, and any remaining are waging a civil war against each other. If we learned anything from Africa, then we know in a week this confederation will be little more than a couple warring militia's squabbling at each other.

Goodbye New Russia, democracies coming to take you from your authoritarian overlords :salute: :flagus:

What great Wikipedia sourcing you have going on here. This is a conflict that will go on for years, if not decades. Key areas like airports change hands regularly during the course of these conflicts.

More telling than the airport changing hands is that a Ukrainian general was just killed during a trip through the eastern region. For the militants to correctly locate a general and then apply their limited munitions effectively against him shows that someone at a high level in the military gave away the general's position and level of security to hostile militants.

Yep. The leader of the Republic of Donetsk and his administration are in an official "civil war" with the right wing army. Meanwhile...........

This is a translation from Greek Defensenet about the helicopter:

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Statutory equipped transport helicopter Mil Mi-17 (was) shot down by SA-17 missile in the outskirts Slaviansk (by) the self-defense forces of New Russia killing the commander of Ukrainian enterprises in the region, Volodymyr Koultsiski, together with all in his staff and a team of American mercenaries who were on guard protection as Ukrainians special forces.

The shot was a few seconds after (the) takeoff (of the) helicopter, which means that an ambush had been set up in the area and (they) waited to board the high officials and (for) the helicopter to take off before (being) shot.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The rest is a little hard to understand, but from what I gathered one hundred Ukrainian soldiers surrendered, and the desertions and surrenders are increasing. There seems to be a lot of frustration in Kiev, and complaints about thousands of traitors. The war would really end soon, unless our 'Empire of Chaos' :unclesam: decides to prolong it the way we are doing in Syria. It seems the only soldiers the government has are the Bandera 'nationalists' from the Western area and the American mercenaries.

Ukraine is a nation with forty million people. What I would like to know is who is going to feed them in a few months, since most of their trade is with Russia?

The only language Terrorism does understand is violence. I would love it eaven more if the US and allies do deside to send special forces to execute all pro russian leaders they can get. That so called mayor of Sloviansk REALLY must be executed after having taken OSZE members the 2nd time now.

Send some Seals or KSK, let them do the job: executing all these russian fascists and support freedom and democracy in Ukraine.

Pro russians do ask for trouble they should get what they ask for.

Food is not the problem of the Ukraine. It is rather energy. Ukraine must be integrated in EU systems. EU will buy only for one price so they can send it for that price to Ukraine.

If all EU stopps buying gas, new USSR is in some trouble. In summer, gas is less needed. I think also it is stocked for months...Europe should get prepared to change it's system.

Ukraine shall be helped. It belongs to the west. They desided, Russia has to respect. Maidan + elections have spoken.

Unless she thinks the elections were rigged, the various voting options more than showed the citizens disdain for Russia.

No , so far I did not.

What does disturb me is the extreme arrogance of the terrorists. They are posing as big warlords. The second they would meet Seals or german KSK forces, I know they will panic and run away as fast as they can. But to put terror on ukrainian civilians and after tell to the world they do fight ukrainian nazis...that is typical for the pro russians ...most of them are from inner Russia anyway with the order to destabilize...

I think if they really get professional enemies, they will not be that loud anymore. They do need to get respect.

That is the way pro serbians did learn:

Well, it looks like the European freedom fighters are on their own. The most the US government is now entitled to do is train and arm the Ukrainian army. Which is now going to defeat Putin's lackeys in Syria. Didn't hear? Putins uprising has projected military action against the Assad's, which is why were officially adopting the Syrian rebel army.

Trust me, that money would be much better going to Ukraine than the Syrian money drain. Petro seems like he's getting stuff done though. The airport landing was a substantial victory, with a impressive kill:death ratio. With this little "civil war" going on in the New Russian confederation, its 300,000 troops against 10,000 warring militant groups.

Uhhh! Food is the issue when you don't have money to buy it. As for the gas, it's going to be shut off in a few days, and that means Ukraine will be stealing it from the E.U. pipelines the way they did the last time. ...And I don't think Merkel is going to like that, do you? :confuse:

    Keep dreaming! :roflol:

Do you really think Russia stands to benefit from turning off the gas lines? Nearly 70% of their exports are in oil. Almost all the billionaires in Moscow are living on the Ukraine pipeline. All I can say, is that both countries will be choked and strangled if they do. Russia will just fall a little bigger.

Hey, there is no Ukrainian army, they're all deserting. The chocolate mafia boss even offered to pay them eighty dollars a day compared to the thirty dollars a month they're getting now...but it's not going to work. The Ukrainians are not going to kill their own people, except maybe for the Bandera nationalists from the Western Maidan area. This is why the oligarchs hired Greystone/Blackwater mercenaries. The U.S. will not take back their bodies though, for fear the American people will find out.

Mod Edit ~ Don't make it personal

for a non-existent army, they appear to be kicking major ass lately. :)

there is no evidence that Greystone is in Ukraine.

She never uses any sources beyond her own claims. She has already conceded that RT earns her no credibility, but things like "blackwater" and troop "desertion", are baseless. Maybe she should look at nation master. Ukraine's military has grown. It is actually not much smaller than Russia's. Without the Soviets receiving any more weapons or technology from the US, I think Ukraine could even stand a chance in a defensive war.

There was an uproar in the Duma after the US revoked weapons sales to the country. Nations only have two options for foreign arms. Cheap Chinese weapons or expensive US weapons, and considering all the freebies we give out

'Ukraine is a nation with forty million people. What I would like to know is who is going to feed them in a few months, since most of their trade is with Russia?'

And I wonder who is going to feed the belligerent and belly aching Russians, when the bread basket of Europe, The Ukraine, shuts its doors?

The whole point of economic warfare is to make them starve. I hope they come pleading for food, kissing our western boots. And don't call them "The Ukraine". That was a soviet term to convince people Ukraine is just a region of Russia. It was forced as an official term to suppress Ukraine independence movements.

I wouldn't call it "the fall" since they hold the whole region and the Ukrainian army can't do a thing about it
