Interesting logic, and a great example of moral-equivalence. Nazi culture wasn't all bad either, after all, Hitler made the trains run on time and built the Autobahn.

Clovis artifacts share nothing in common with those of Asian origin and share much in common with the Solutrean Culture of Europe.

Surely you've seen research on this? http://www.ucpress.edu/book.php?isbn=9780520275782

    No, it's not.

The trains would have run on time regardless of the ideology prevalent at the time. That's German culture, after all.

yes I have, similar technology does not verify contact...and genetic results from dna confirm they originated from Beringia, not europe...definitive dna vs subjective technolgical similarites, dna wins...

It sounds like you're referring to the recent paper on the Anzick-1 boy, and if you're familiar with the book I mentioned, you should have noted that the book describes the dating of the boy found there to be more recent and outside of the date range of Clovis artifacts discovered is his vicinity and that the site had been disturbed.

Women do not have the LEGAL right to unilaterally divorce in most arab nations. That is a matter of law and culture, not ideology.

Islam is a religion. It is not an ideology.

    ORLY?

So no, it is not limited to insults. If the argument is that women are less equal in non-western nations, I think the evidence is obvious. I can provide more examples.

Thats an excuse, not a rebuttal. You are basically admitting I am correct. We are discussing how moral one area is compared to another. The "godless" west does not oppress women and minorities.

He's clovis as is the more recent confirmation of Naia, both genetic ancestors of north american natives other than the later arrivals the Dene and Inuit...all trace genetically to Beringia/asia...there is no euro dna, none...the dna is definitive....

You didn't answer and you're repeating your original assertion. Did the study you're quoting answer the dates of the bones relative to the artifacts and that the site had been disturbed?

    Doesn't sound like it.

"DNA is definitive" does not explain why we should think a younger skeleton outside the date range of the Clovis as Clovis due to it being found near older Clovis artifacts in which the entire site had been disturbed so exact burial site cannot even be determined. Carbon dating is very clear on the difference in ages of discoveries in this site. It's not all the same, by a longshot. Knowing this then, how can the study you cite make a definitive pronouncement on this being "a Clovis burial site"?

We are talking about the East, not just Saudi Arabia. And it is a matter of ideology, because it is your ideology that professes that people should have the right to say whatever they please. It's just that in the West's case, ideology and culture pretty much go hand in hand.

I use the term ideology for the sake of comparing it to Western ideology.

Saudi Arabia again? It's a monarchy, not a democracy, so why would they have the right to protest?

You can, but I don't know why you are fixating on this issue. Why should we readily assume that women are and should be equal to men anyway?

Of course you're correct, but there is a reason why other nations can't "oppress" the West.

Then why did you bring up Tibet? And why do you assume that morality is all about how a government treats its women and minorities?

carbon date for remains are 12,894 BP-clovis, disturbed or not the date remains the same as does the dna....no matter how you may want to twist it clovis originated from Beringia, no amount of wishful thinking will turn clovis into europeans, the dna is conclusive...until there is conclusive physical evidence for an atlantic crossing or dna that hypothesis is deader than osama...

Yes, it is true. The trains weren't running on time before Hitler took power, there was no Autobahn, and Germany was awash in debt and despair. Hitler made improvements in those areas. However, the improvements were insignificant given Hitler's inhuman nature and his murderous behavior. It's wise to minimize the few pros when they're so outweighed by the cons!

Islamist terrorists pray numerous times a day. That's very admirable, and a cultural plus. Unfortunately, they also murder people solely due to the religious beliefs of those people. Extreme Islamist cultures tolerate rape, execute people who change religion, and suppress women's rights. In my opinion, those negative qualities far outweigh their habit of praying regularly! Don't you agree?

Are you arguing that the Germans are an efficient people because the Nazis instilled into their spirit the concept efficiency? Because the trains are still running on time in Germany.

And who said anything about technology and efficiency? The East is not technologically or economically superior to the West.

What do Islamist extremists have to do with the Eastern culture? Extremists/terrorists who tolerate what you mentioned are a significant minority. There is nothing near the magnitude of evil that the West committed in the two world wars.

The Nazis look like they're making a comeback in Europe- I wonder if they (or their opponents) will start using violence in the distance future.

I was not making that argument. Germany had been a culture ripe with inventiveness in the arts and sciences prior to WW1. Following Germany's defeat in that war, the nation was devastated financially and technologically. German deaths and casualties exceeded 6 million. The country fell into virtual collapse due to war debts and later due to the world depression. The German government following that war was weak and worthless. The transportation system was in disrepair. Hitler, regardless of his inhumanity, restored much of German infrastructure, re-instilled a sense of pride in many Germans, and prioritized German science and industry. The Nazis didn't create German science and efficiency, they restored it. After Germany's ruinous defeat in WW2, it was mainly the US and the Marshall plan that picked up the pieces and put them back together again. THAT's why the trains are running on time again!

You're missing my whole point. Explanation is below.

My point was and is that one can always find something good about virtually any culture. However, when a culture's evils far outweigh the good points of that culture, it's ridiculous to say it's comparable to a culture whose positives far outweigh its evils.

We believe superiority is found in the homosexual, minority, and female cultures, than the straight, white, and male cultures.

So white males are beneath homosexuals, minorities, and females?

The tolerant left ladies and gentleman, where diversity is celebrated, nobody gets made fun of, everybody is equal, etc.

This post lets me know that by dismissing your posts, I will miss nothing of substance.

But Islam extremism isn't Eastern culture, the same way Nazism in Germany wasn't Western culture. Islam extremism isn't one of those cons of Eastern culture I was referring to; it's not an inherent problem of the culture, just as depressed teenagers committing massacres in America is not an inherent problem of "American culture."

I disagree. I wasn't speaking of "eastern culture", for I don't think there's any such thing as an homogenous culture of the east. Germany was and is a western culture in the broad sense of the term. Nazism was a radicalization within German culture, not unlike the Islamist extremists who represent a radicalization within Muslim culture. While painful to admit, teenagers committing massacres is indeed a cultural issue within America. There's "something" about present American culture that leads to such behavior, albeit a rare occurrence.

This is correct. However, there does exist a distinction between certain values that are inherent to the East and West: materialism vs religion; individualism vs collectivism; etc....

But Nazism wasn't a product of Western ideology and values (which the Enlightenment produced). It arose from the socio-political situation that existed in Germany at the time. This is the same with Islam extremism.

I'll have to agree, but I think it has to do more with Western ideology itself, which American culture- among all other Western cultures- tries its best to mimic.

    1. As a White. I can drink milk. Which means I get taller, because I have more Calcium,

    2. Alcohol. I have enzymes who reduce the Alchohol Level in my blood, for example many Korean can not drink Alkohol

    3. My White Skin produces more Vitamin D. also has a lot to do with Calcium

    That's a good point

Feeling superior is....a very personal feeling

Ask a scientist who work at NASA, or a world-class historian how they feel about western civilization, they may not think it has any level of superior!

It's totally not comparable! As several civilizations, including Sumer civilization, Mayer civilization, Egyptian civilizations and Chinese civilization (i m not sure if Chinese should count as ancient civilization, like Greek and Roman, they weren't as old ad Sumer and Mayer), all those civilizations were not happen at same time.

There are still many things of those civilizations which can't explain by today's science. Some of their creations still hardly done with today's technology!

I have read some articles online talk about the possibility of ancient nuclear war at northern India!

We all civilized people are the part of western (or European?) civilization. It probably will rule the world till the doom of mankind.

To keep our enthusiasm and curiosity to the earth and the universe, feel humble to the great nature, is the way to keep our civilization grow prosperous.
