    For me I would say:

Jose Mujica, President of Uruguay- Having the guts to legalize marijuana when pretty much no one else is taking a stance on marijuana prohibition and its effect on crime is pretty noteworthy, in my opinion. He is also pro-choice and legalized gay marriage in Uruguay.

Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan- Not my preferred choice for Prime Minister, but he's made progress with avoiding an inflationary crisis and banning whaling.

Michelle Bachelet, President of Chile- I should probably note that the choice is pretty dismal right now for my ideology, so the only reason Bachelet is on here at all is for being close to me ideologically. I read that she has made access to contraception free or at least partially free.

I'll give honorable mentions to Bohuslav Sobotka of the Czech Republic and Joseph Muscat of Malta for being generally competent, but they haven't done anything noteworthy.

Obama, because it's funny to watch the US struggle under him.

Putin, because it's funny to see Russia, and bears, struggle under him

What specific stances does he have that make him conservative?

    Dude, that's just mean. :(

Yeah, but at least he tried to do the right thing. Still should have known better though.

Putin, because he has the power to turn grown men into little whiny girls by the sheer contrast of his manliness.

sincerity is a much overrated virtue. I much prefer Tywin, Tyrion or Varys, because they know how the world works.

Tyrion is just awesome. No other way to put it. I do like Tywin, you feel intimidated just by watching him. Varys sucks. Ned is a man of virtue and someone I would want as a leader in real life.

Shinzō Abe is the 57th and current Prime Minister of Japan, reelected to the position in December 2012. Abe is also the President of the Liberal Democratic Party and chairman of the Oyagaku propulsion parliamentary group. -- Wikipedia

No, you certainly wouldn't want Ned as a leader! He'd (*)(*)(*)(*) (*)(*)(*)(*) up so hard, with good intentions. One of the three i mentioned would be a good leader, because they understand how their intents doesn't always translate into the result of your actions. Ned, clearly did not, which is why I'm saying sincerity is much overrated. I mean, do you want a well-meaning disaster, or do you actually want good results?

varys is awesome btw, awesome I tell you! I've never seen a ball-less man be soo awesome! I like intelligence, and he got it.

Anything to the right of Trotsky is "conservative" to some.

The only reason things got (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up with Ned was because he was put in a place where secrets, lies, and backstabbing are the local trade. He was used to running things honestly and honorably. If those methods hadn't been so effective then Winterfell would have been a very different place and his son Rob(who (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up even worse)wouldn't have been able to amass the army that he did. Ned's flag holders were loyal to him because he inspired them to be.

If you want to see a bad ass eunuch read River God by Wilbur Smith. That was an excellent book. Just stay away from Warlock though, one of its sequels. Absolutely horrible. So bad in fact that it hurt me to know that it was part of the same series.

Lies and deciet will always surround the leader of any country, Sweden or US. Therefore, a leader must know how to navigate in such an environment.

    will do.

Can't argue that. I would just prefer someone with honor and integrity. If I can't have him then I'll take Daenerys as a leader. She's badass too.

Ah, not her.. it's a wonder she haven't died yet the naive girl.. But she will, she will, if the series holds true to killing naive well meaning people, which I hope it does if only to teach people a lesson and to (*)(*)(*)(*) them off.

I don't think she'll die until she gets to Westeros. Otherwise her entire story becomes pointless. I have noticed that she's getting a little on the arrogant side when it comes to her victories. She needs to suffer some major losses to temper her humility or it'll all catch up to her at once.

    Maybe Hodor could become king?

On a side note, it's not Warlock you should avoid, it's Quest. Got them mixed up.

Indeed, it would be quite the waste. Although, when she does die, I hope it will in a similar manner as the aforementioned starks. For the best part of Got is to imagine the screams of dispair by all the fans when loved characters die.. And I imagine that must be what drives r r martin as well!

I'll keep that in mind when I come around to reading it.

Set her on fire. Seems to me like her story arc would come full circle if she goes out like that.
