Remember The West Wing? Yea, Aaron Sorkin is the mind behind the whole show's success (or not) Personally, I enjoy it — immensely. For the intelligent plots, for the catchy ripple-firing of dialogues, for the intentional (or unintentional) but really clever puns. And after all that, for reminding me the better days of Clinton Administration.

But even the most ardent and zealous liberal would have to admit that the show romanticized a Democratic president to the degree that it is downright obnoxious — especially when taking the Obama's 8 years of disaster streak as a backdrop — not even Clinton was remotely as strong, determined, eloquent and resourceful as Josiah Bartlet (played by Martin Sheen).

To be fair, The West Wing was long over, and both cons and libertarians escape reality to certain degree. But none of them do so so brazenly, so completely without scrupulous — just like Aaron Sorkin's petty indoctrination in the show — the lines were immensely enjoyable, but seriously compromised by (educated) audiences' constant fight against the brain washing on economics. Really, you wanna nationalize the entire trucking industry? And this came out of a president that just so happens to be a Nobel Laureate? Even Paul Krugman, the liberal darling who suggested an all out economic war against China — didn't have that many screws loosen.

How often do you hear that liberal dish out "reality has a liberal bias" when it is proverbial knowledge that well over 60% of workers in the news industry are self-admitted liberal? (Whereas a 24% or so claim being conservative)

How often do yo hear liberals crying min wages won't hurt the employment?

How often do you hear liberals claim taxation is good for certain business? All businesses?

How often do you hear liberals saying, with a straight face, that rent control helps people get more affordable dwellings?

How astronomically more often do you see liberals desperately associate the source of a piece of news they don't like with FOX? (While interestingly FOX is THE most trusted and THE most profitable network in America?)

And it is not just me. Aaron Sorkin even made some liberal bloggers nauseous:

Oh, it's just a liberal screen writer, right? Not really, a google search of "liberal wishful thinking" yield roughly 15 times more results than "conservatives wishful thinking" , and we are talking about internet bloggers are majority liberal. (You can try the googling yourself, it's fun, really)

Aaron Sorkin is just what happens when you take liberal wishful-thinking to an extreme (or not so). What he reflects is just a pillar of liberal ideology — idealism triumph over cold, hard reality.
