If you took the time to actually listen to conservatives instead of simply wagging a finger at them for not being more like you, you'd understand that conservatives by and large only oppose change for the worse. Contrary to popular leftist beliefs, not all change is progress. In fact, much of what the progressive left actively pushes for bears a stronger resemblance to entropy than evolution.

If you guys want to destroy yourselves, go right ahead. But if you're going to try to take the rest of us with you, then you should expect a ton of resistance.

Conservatism obviously wants to conserve something, but only retards -sadly there are very many of those- would think that they're referring to a complete status quo of everything. Conservatives want change like anyone else, but they emphasise not to throw away the good stuff.

I just wish a true small government conservative would explain to me why they are anti SSM? I don't understand how two gay guys getting married has any effect on me, so why is it my business? I think same sex marriage is a perfect example of what the Republicans are about, creating others, and running against them. That was ok back when the majority wasn't others. Aint gonna work much longer.

But, "in denial" is a popular liberal phrase with means, in LibSpeak, that emotional liberal appeals aren't working so the liberals are abandoning all attempts at discussion. First comes, "You sound like a racist/sexist/ageist/whateverist and if that doesn't stop the discussion they go for, "Well, you poor thing, you're just in denial."

It's rather like screaming, "Benghazi" or "Fast and Furious" or "IRS 1" or "IRS 2" or "BLM" or "Obamacare" or some other phrase that's intended to stop discussion.

 

SO exactly why does the RW try to pretend Obama is taking over the US by use of exec orders when he has used comparatively few? Another mindless RW meme perhaps? By taking meds to do intent to imply everyone that disagrees with you is carzy? That is usually a bad sign, just saying.

 

This can be somewhat effective, but around here, it can often be confused with seriousness.

 

Conservatism was started by Aristotle Cicero Locke Jefferson and Friedman. Liberals tend to be on the slow side and so really have no political philosophy other than a profound belief in their moral superiority based about by their support for welfare.

A Republican lawmaker who promoted legislation to teach “abstinence-only” sex education in schools announced that his own unmarried high school-aged daughter has gotten pregnant.

Bill Cassidy, a state Senator from Louisiana released a statement to NOLA.com announcing that he was to be a grandfather and expressing his support for his daughter during this “challenging” time:

“Earlier this year, Laura and I learned we will become grandparents this summer. Our children have been the greatest blessing of our lives and we welcome our grandchild as a joyous addition to our family. Our daughter now faces a more challenging future than her peers. She has our unconditional love and support.”

Cassidy has made a name for himself as somewhat of a “abstinence-only” crusader. Last year, he co-sponsored the Abstinence-Only Reallocation Act, which would award grants and special funding to public and private schools which stuck to teaching only abstinence instead of a more comprehensive lesson plan on sexual behavior. The bill, authored by perennial bad ideas machine Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-SC), has been tabled in Congress, but Louisiana teens aren’t in the clear.
