It works for carbon traders. The right to pollute ends up being a commodity bought and sold in a market.

The greens have sound environmental policies, but their other policies are too illogical and irrational. They would open our doors to hundreds of thousands of refugees that would turn our education, health, housing and welfare system into complete financial chaos

That's a typical right wing way of describing the Greens,I think you have absolutely no idea what the Green movement is all about. The key word would be sustainable, that comes closest to what most people I was/am talking to, right across the globe, think.
Your description fits Abbott and Hockeys version of their small and hatred filled world. Sorry mate.....

I thought the Greens had the monopoly on the "small and hatred filled world". Posts on this forum haven`t disabused me of the notion either.

Didn't Obama recently adopt a direct action climate strategy as his centre piece climate policy? I remember reading about it when it happened, but the story was dropped by normal media outlets because it seemed to support the LNP policy, and goshjolly we wouldn't want that....

The "budgie smuggler" uproar brought out those urges that you`ve been trying to deny. We understand, but it might help if you take those budgie smuggler posters down off your WC ceiling.

only joking, no need to "come out" if your not comfortable.

So you have no come back for him I see? You seem to have strange ideas about what to do with Tonee's poster. What does your wife think about it?

    Comeback? For What?
This is where I have difficulty communicating with the lefty mentality. It is hard to find significance in the utterings of those who`s minds operate strictly within the constraints of emotion envy, and prejudice. This is actually, my objection to leftism. I quite agree with a lot of the supposed agenda. It`s the shallow mindedness and bigotry, the lack of responsibility, that turns me off.

Its the lack of Tonee's responsibility for "all" the Australian people that is turning the Australian people off him and his politics. He wants to make life hard and difficult for individuals, who can least afford his politics on welfare changes, but taxes the crap out of everyone to reward the wealthy with maternity leave.

Not possible to keep everyone happy. To some, the concept of keeping the country on an even keel is a good idea. To some, the concept of managing debt is a low priority, while welfare growth is the holy grail. As for the maternity leave issue. Might be time to begin to encourage the expansion of the other end of the gene pool for a change? After all, they`re paying their taxes too.

You always bang-on about welfare, so I have a suggestion for you. Why don't you write to Joe & Tonee, and ask them to stop the 457 foreign visa foreign workers that are coming to Australia to take Australian jobs that's causing this welfare problem? Allow the unemployed Australians the opportunity to work, instead of giving away their jobs to 457 foreign workers, might save on welfare payments.

You bang-on all the time about welfare recipients draining the tax payers dollars, and when a logical suggest has been made, you deflect the suggestion with something I would expect an ALP/greens fanatic to write.

Wouldn't stopping 457 foreign visa workers coming into Australia help unemployed Australians find jobs faster, with more jobs available? Wouldn't supplying unemployed Australians with "real" jobs being taken by 457 foreign visa worker be much better, than humiliating them, by forcing them to work for the dole, and picking weeds out of gardens?

Or is this basic logic to simple for Joe & Tonee to digest and comprehend? Maybe Tonee & Joe's bosses in the top-end of town wouldn't like having to pay higher wages to Australian workers. Is that the real reason why you would be wasting your time writing to Tonee & Joe about this strategy?

We surely have a large number of untrained/uneducated on the dole living persons, do you think they could replace trained 457 workers just like that, in an instance?
    Unrealistic, to say the least....

Not everyone on the "dole" is uneducated and untrained. There are many educated and trained unemployed Australians that could be filling the jobs that 457 visa foreign workers are taking.

Maybe if our politicians use our tax payers money and started to train Australia's unemployed in decent TAFE training courses for our requirements, then we wouldn't need to be bringing in outside cheap foreign labour to replace our Australian labour, and then forcing our own people to pick weeds of gardens for welfare benefits, because they cannot get work or correct training.

Maybe the $200million the Australian tax payers gave Indonesian to build schools to educate Indonesians children, should have been spent educating and training Australian children, so they would not have to end up on welfare, because they don't have the skills to find employment.

These stupid politicians are turning our children into dependent welfare candidates, because they would prefer to give away Australian tax payer money to train and educate foreigners over Australian people, and then have the audacity to blame the people who cannot find work for being dole bludgers. I know who the real bludgers on our society are, and its not our unemployed - its those scumbag politicians, who do nothing to deserve their salaries except lie and deceive.

Its just like John Kerry in drag (Julie Bishop), squandering Australian tax payers dollars Galavanting around the world making our she is doing this, that, and the other, and in the grand scheme of things, she has accomplished sweet FA, that another country could not have accomplished if given the time. Loves the sound of her own voice that one. I wonder how many nurses or teachers this $100K trip of John's would have paid for? We have to tighten our belts don't we, and send our 65 year old people to work, while Julie Galavants around the world on a $100K trip funded by the people she is telling to work harder and longer. :roflol:

Ugly dial on TV, big-noting herself that she has done this 'n' that, when all a long she has done nothing that Malaysia or the Netherlands could not have done either, if given the time.

Just another junket at tax payers expense so they can have a little side trip to Scotland to see the commonwealth games closing ceremony, and the stupid people have fell for the fake sympathy and empathy - hook, line and sinker. :roflol:

What's the bet none of them return to Australia before the Commonwealth games closing ceremony? :roflol: :roflol:

Can you tell me the percentage of 457 visa workers have had anything even approaching the opportunities that our home grown "workers" have had, to qualify for the jobs that the 457 visa workers are doing? The point simply is, the figures on 457 visa workers simply illustrate the number of Australians who couldn`t be bothered to get off their arses to have a go. They will not budge until all of their emotions and hurt feelings are catered for, then they are pampered, perfumed, patted on the head and promenaded, but wait a minute, after all that they`re too tired to get out of bed.
