Apart from the deniers everyone here will agree that climate change is the biggest problem in the world right now. For those of you who are unaware of how big this problem is please take the time to glance at this list of some of the things global warming causes:

    http://www.numberwatch.co.uk/warmlist.htm

My plan is simple. We need some intergovernmental body like the UN to impose a despotic deindustrialisation regime that regulates and controls the population levels via sterilisation, abortion and assisted euthanasia. They should have control of all natural resources and supply just what we need to get by. What do you guys think?

Couldn't we just duct tape the mouths of politicians?

Global warming is actually a good thing.

We get far more benefits from warmer climates than colder ones in fact, archaeological evidence shows us that plant and animal life absolutely thrive in warmer climates.

Many scientists believe that a Earth with no permanent ice is the norm and that the planet is working its way back towards normalcy until the next abnormal ice-age happens.

Sorry a bunch of humans wanted to build their city on the Sea but we have the technology to easily protect against a 6 ft. rise in ocean levels.

You warmist people need to actually figure out what your so worried about with global warming before you try and stop it.

My system does away with politicians. The entire earth will be ruled by a handful of academics from the IPCC. I think the first step should be the creation of a military force under the control of the IPCC. We need to stop hanging on to national sovereignty and realise that globalisation and one world government are inevitable so we need to make sure it's a sustainable one.

A one world government simply is not possible, it has been tried multiple times and each attempt has failed miserably.

There is simply no way to police it.

Dude I think you better check the link in the OP. Let me explain climate change. Climate change is just that - it's changing. And why is it changing? Because of human produced C03. Climate change produces hot and cold weather. Floods and droughts. Fires, tornados, earthquakes, volcanos, sunamis, asteroids, Arctic ice shrinkage, Arctic ice growing, blackbirds stop singing, frogs turn gay, Zionist conspiracies, earth wobbling, earth spinning off its axis, cows dying early, cow longevity, increases in cancer, algal blooms, butterflies move north in Angola, butterflies move East in Siberia, bananas ripening earlier, bananas ripening late, psychic energies suppressed, depression and suicide etc.

These are only some of the things climate change is causing and if we don't do something about it now we're all going to die.

We'll never know what the norm is unless we stop the climate changing.

Studies have shown that half the earth will be under water and suffering drought by 2023.

Check the link dude. There's a consensus on this. Are you a scientist? No. So just believe what the vast majority of scientists are telling us.

The US government is working on death rays and battle robots that get their energy from eating human corpses. They just keep killing unlawful enemy combatants and eating them then killing some more.

    http://www.wired.com/2009/07/military-researchers-develop-corpse-eating-robots/

As technology continues to develop the war against climate change deniers will take on a new form. Nothing can stand in the way of the environment and that includes mankind. If we can't achieve a despotic one world Eco-regime then our only other choice is some kind of doomsday device to wipe out all human life on earth and save the environment.

Your OP was about global warming, not climate change and they are distinctly different.

However, if you would like to discuss just climate change you are also wrong. Climate change is just that, change and it doesn't necessarily mean for the worse.

Some places will get far better. Places with extreme weather now will moderate into far more livable environments, the deserts may see more rain, extreme cold climates may warm up, tornado alley in the Midwest may move to California.

Change simply means that weather patterns are going to move from one spot to another, not everywhere is going to get worse.

Have you actually studied this at all?

I know all about it. I've read Al Gore and David Suzuki and Bono. Climate change is destroying the planet. Did you know carbon dioxide is a poisonous greenhouse gas? If you tried to breath just carbon dioxide you'd die! Carbon dioxide comes from cars and power plants and vacuum cleaners and heaps of other things. The only way we can fight the carbon is if we force people to stop using these things. People are in denial and we need to take action now.

Humans contribute CO2, and methane(some more than others) to the atmosphere. We should eleminate all breathers and farters to make the plant safe for the trees.....

    Actually it isn't.

For every species that climate change is responsible for wiping out it creates probably 5 new ones to take their place. So the global annual temperature may rise 6 degrees over the next century but Minnesota will never reach the daily temperature I see in Phoenix.

San Diego may see 20 more days of rain every year but Seattle will see 20 more days of sunshine.

This is why it is called "Climate Change", and not "Climate Worsening".

We should run a pilot program in some man undeveloped part of the world first, maybe Africa?

Dude climate change is causing the earth to spin off its axis and go careening off into outer reaches of the solar system where we'll all die.

only if they are truly clueless.

The way I look at it climate change denial is a form of terrorism and if you're not with the IPCC you're with the terrorists. Terrorists are unlawful enemy combatants and subject to targeted strikes, capture and indefinite confinement and torture. The best way to deal with deniers is to get rid of the security council at the UN and give security council powers to the general assembly. But no powers of veto of course. Security concerns like climate change should be decided by the majority of member states.

The solution to GW is to quit listening to GW loons!!!!

Google the USCRN report, it proves that we have actually had cooling for the last 10 years.

The cooling was caused by global warming dude. You just don't understand the science. Just check the studies. You need to get with the program and realise that a one world government is inevitable. The science may not be perfect right now but we've got to make the planet sustainable. Just last week a species of tick that feeds on human blood and causes Lyme disease was moved up to endangered on the list. We need to realise that we're killing the planet and humanity needs to thinned out as a first step.

None of that nonsense surprises me. I'm still thinking you can't seriously hold these views. You've got to be conducting some informal sociological experiment or something.

Would you please drop the act and just say what you mean? Or do you fear staking out an actual position for fear of being refuted by superior minds?

Sir I think you're on the right track but we would need to run a pilot program of some sort first, maybe in Africa?

No sense makes sense that's the problem. You give me some sense and I'll try to make sense of it every time but it always comes out woogie do song. Now you can project that back onto me but I'm not the crazy one here.

You are too afraid to just say what you believe. That's even worse than a crazy person. At least they don't hide their beliefs behind a wall of sarcasm and evasion like you do.

I believe that one of the best ways to fight climate change is to lower our own energy consumption. Random vanities like posting on an internet forum should be the first thing to go. But who will lead the charge?
