Michael Brown, an unarmed 17 year old black teenager was gunned down last week. Witnesses claim that he was on his knees, begging the officer not to shoot, but was shot and killed anyway. The police of course have a different version of this story, that I don't believe but thats neither here nor there. The point is that minority men are constantly the target of police harassment for no reason other than the fact that they are minority men. You see, it doesn't matter if you're "one of the good ones". All they see is dark skin, and therefore a threat. Think about this for a minute. Police forces across the country have somehow gained access to Military equipment. Tanks, drones, etc. The only way to prevent becoming another CNN headline is to arm yourself. Acquire a conceal carry permit, or even a permit to open carry. YOU ARE PROTECTED BY LAW and carrying around a legally owned firearm is a Constitutional right. No police officer can take away your firearm, or illegally search you just because you are carrying it. If you are fired on you can fire back. Go to a firing range and you will become a good shot. Don't be the next Trayvon, Michael Brown, Sean Bell, or Oscar Grant.
Oh, not this crap again. That guy was not just gunned down, he attacked a cop, shoved him back into the car, and got the cop's pistol. That' whole post is a bunch of nonsense. But I agree with the sentiment that people should be armed and be allowed to defend themselves against out of control cops. I do not understand this mentality that we have to just roll over and play dead and let the cops walk all over us, vio0lating our Constitutional rights. I do not understand this mentality that cops are so special that we plebes and peons have to do whatever they tell us to to do and that we have no right to defend ourselves against them. Looking at the histories of the American governments and those around the world, one would have to be absolutely insane to not be armed.

All a gun in this case would have done for the young guy, is to give the policeman a better justification for having killed him. I agree with you about the militarization of the police.
