Well I don't knowed about you But after a bee sting I tend to lose me
appetite. I don't care if Crab Louie with a bottle of Dom Perignon.

Most seafood is fairly WW friendly, too. But I do plan to indulge in Crab Bisque at Willie G's. OMG, it's good.

Fish houses package fresh seafood to bring home but the last time I tried that on SWA, the ice chest leaked under the seat in front of me and it was smelling nice & ripe by the time we got off. Good thing it's a 30 min flight! LOL

I'm guessing you are allergic. Are you? Have you sought or taken treatment?

Nobody's gonna force you to do anything against your will, dumplin. Just, for gawd's sake, don't eat the brownies. :hippie:

I've been down to Corpus on business. The hotel was right across from the marina. I bought a few pounds of jumbo shrimp right off the boat, wrapped it up in ice and flew home that day. Leaked a bit, but it was worth the effort!

If a bee sting causes you to go off your feed, I'd say you're allergic. Bees and wasps sting me, but don't affect my appetite or humor.

Yeah, I think I tried to haul too much. Had a couple of pretty good sized snappers as well as a few lbs of shrimp.

By the time I leave there, I'll have eaten enough seafood to last me awhile. Every meal but breakfast starts with a shrimp cocktail. Breakfast starts with this...

Snapper are pretty large size fish. Also kind of hard.Unlike the soft fleshy
rainbow red trout I ingested for supper.
Snapper seem more like a fish that you catch and just toss in the boat
    for whenever.Kinda like in the movie - Grumpy Old Men - { 1993 }
where Gustafson { Jack lemmon } hides a hearty hard fish in the
back of Goldman's { Walter Matthau } Jeep Wagoneer.

Sounds pretty normal for you, sweetie. I nearly feel like we just had... a conversation. In the 14 yrs I've known you... I've never felt closer to you than I do right now.

    Good talk, Foolie.

Snapper is cut in thin filets not cooked whole, but it's a mild white fish like rainbow trout... which I also love.

My raised-on-the-gulf cousins despise tilapia, call it junk fish. But it's farm raised like catfish, so other than not being caught in the ocean, I don't really see the difference.

    Seafood snobs.

I miss shrimp. Any creepy crawlies make my gout flare up. I love to eat shrimp, but I like to walk even more. Peanuts are the same way. Eggs now make me sick at my stomach. 10 years ago, I lived on that stuff. I guess I'm getting old.

I'd better go load up my son's truck. He is in tech school in the Air Force in Wichita Falls, TX. He gets to drive a car this weekend for the first time since he went into the Air Force. We are taking his truck and all of his stuff to him this weekend. We warned him about all of his newfound "friends" when they find out he has a car at tech school. I got him a tool box and organized his tools for him. I tuned up his truck and did a lot of maintenance to make sure it is dependable. I have the title and the title transfer form for us to fill out during the trip. Mom is packing his things and we are loading it all in the truck. After we remodel the room, one of my other boys gets to move in and we will remodel that room, etc..... The work of a parent never ends. Here is his truck.

In OKC there was a seafood restaurant that served individual (whole)
Red Snapper. When I was a kid I'd order it fried and the waitress would
de-bone it at the table. I thought I was in Heaven.

Bummer, Tex. The gout, not the truck. Fine looking vehicle... I'm sure son will be very happy to be reunited. Esp in Wichita Falls. Not known as the mass transit center of the state. LOL

I've never been big on whole fish. Maybe if somebody had de-boned it for me...

Red Snapper in OKC... and the best Alaskan King Crab I ever had was in Phoenix, AZ. Amazing how those sea creatures get around, ain't it?
