Good deal, BP. At least we don't have to worry about you wearing a green shirt with purple pants.

Sounds more like a post-coital activity; "after sex, the lady was de-boned".

Last month a microburst hit my residential area. It had 3/4 inch hail and 60Kt+ winds damaging all of my screens and a bit of roof damage (same at a few other homes). Today the workman are here to replace the roof courtesy of my insurance company USAA. The workman walking around on the roof is driving our dogs nuts.

The first time I was based aboard an aircraft carrier, my squadron was based just below the landing area on the aft part of the ship (USS Saratoga). Noisy by itself just working, but initially it was impossible to sleep with all the banging from landing aircraft and the wires being dragged back into position. Since the entire ship was steel, it rang like a bell. I finally collapsed from sheer exhaustion after not being able to sleep for over 24 hours. Once I adapted, I was able to sleep fine no matter what the noise level.

I used to like Orange roughy. But it's hard to get now.
So I stick with my Ruby Red Trout.Or sometimes Steelhead trout.
The price of ruby red is $9.99 lb. Which is kind of expensive.
I noticed a new fish in the Butcher fishmonger case.It was Chilian
Sea bass. It was whole { not filleted }. It was $19.99 lb. I said like
Whoa thar Wilbur. It did look like a nice solid fish.It was just cut down
the middle and wasn't filleted.I might try it soon.
I also like scallops but haven't had in years.TOO expensive and I don't
know if real scallops.Salmon is all over the place.I usually buy the fresh smoked
salmon at the gourmet deli { prepared daily }.
I also like Creamed herring.Salt herring is ALL sodium and hard and brown.
And of course my own version of Tuna salad.
However I'm a meat & potato guy at heart.
I also love Lamb chops. That's about me favorite.

Not me, foolie, I despise salmon unless it's croquettes. Too fishy. Same with tuna steaks. Those two fishes have gotta come out of a can if I'm gonna eat em. *makes face*

We've been talking Posole this morning. Can't wait til it gets cool enough for a big pot of that stuff. ;)

It would certainly be a lot quieter and the "steel beach" days would be more pleasant.

Deploying with 5,000 other males for 6 months at sea with nothing to look at but blue water is bad enough. Let alone a symphony of ear blasting decibels above your bunk 24 hours a day.

My idea of roughing it is basic cable and limited room service.

Which is why, on cross-countries, we always favored Air Force bases. :)

I spent all afternoon cutting and welding the upper structure of my trailer project. The bed is too small for full sheets of plywood and/or sheet rock to lay flat, hence the tall uprights on the left side. A sheet of plywood wood lay flat against those and stick out 2 feet off the end.

The bed of the trailer/rails isn't welded to the base attaching the axle assembly. After I weld on the tail light brackets and license plate holder tomorrow morning, I'll pull off the bed assembly, the tongue and the wheel bed apart and paint them all prior to welding it all together either tomorrow afternoon or Saturday.

Looks like a nice study trailer, Max. Do you already have a buyer, or gonna put it up for sale?

Have you noticed how creative yard guys have gotten with their equipment trailers? They have to, thieves steal that stuff in a heartbeat. My house is on a corner and while my yard guys were working in the side yard, somebody stopped and threw their weed-eater in the back of a truck and took off. Pretty damn bad when they steal the tools of a man's livelihood. Next you oughta build a trailer with an 8 ft electrified cylone fence with razors on top.

    Overkill?

Sad about the theft. That's just wrong.

Yes, I'll end up selling the trailer. My wife will use it first while I put up a much larger trailer (10 foot long) she's using now for sale. Once the larger trailer is sold and I build another one, I'll put this one up for sale too. Welding is my retirement job and I simply want to work on my skills while letting other people pay for it.

Yes she does and yes I am!!!

We have a small business of renovating derelict homes and renting out rooms to "Second Chance" customers. The business is treading water financially, but it pays the mortgages and the renovations on the two homes. The wife runs the business and needs a trailer to haul supplies for those doing the work; usually renters who have the skills.

Morning, Max. Gonna be another hot one for sure. Forecast for the coast is looking good, although I sure wouldn't mind one day of storms while I'm down there. Might have to call up a youtube of storm sounds on my phone and pretend. ; )

Best packing tip: Shorts, t-shirt, flip flops and a credit card. :)

Painting day for my current trailer project. Tomorrow is wiring and assembly:
