And nobody else today can be either. So reading through the Constitution I came across this clause: No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. Now what this says is that only people who were natural born citizens or a citizen of the United States, at the time of adoption of the Constitution are eligible to be President. If you were are a citizen after the time of adoption of the Constitution you are not qualified. Notice the placement of the comma's in that sentence also. This means that William Henry Harrison was the last President who was actually qualified to be President. He was born in 1773 and the Constitution was adopted in 1787, all the other Presidents were born after that date.
Umm... no. It means if you are a citizen during the time of the adoption of the Constitution the 'natural born' requirement is waved. After that fact you have to be a citizen by birth right to be eligible for presidency.
We just need to do what North Korea does. Their President position is purely symbolic, with Kim Il Sung as the eternal president.
