According to our past, it's certainly not our damn freedoms our our traditional outlook on freedoms. In fact, our traditional, conservative views on freedom have impeded freedom every...single...step of the way. It's only because of liberals that we have the freedoms we do. Now this isn't to say that liberals don't get too liberal, but come on. This guy is basically advocating the American dreamweave as a basis for education. This isn't even conservative, since even conservatives protest when they feel the laws wrong and this country was founded on that very belief. I think this proves our politics has become a balance of icon worship (Obama, Reagan, Carson, Palin, yada yada) and ridiculous, unfounded political headliners that are purely based to excite a voter base that fails to see the world beyond a few political talking points. Again, this is not to say the Liberals will not come out with an Obama 2.0- whether he is White, Black, or Green- who will do the very same thing, but Carson irks me specifically because he's viewed as the "Right's" Obama, and I think he should be. He should be that, exactly. The Right's Obama...the Rights impending 8 year disappointment.
