Really?? Have the Obama kids got caught drinking with fake licenses or TWERKING ass to ass while drinking illegallyin a BAR?? As for making faces, anyone remember GIRLS with even MORE years on them then the current 2 First Kids, sticking their tongues out at press?? (Actually, the ONLY time I've seen these 2 make faces is in response to something their dad does--that's normal and dare I say healthy). They look like typical kids today in my view! These are nice kids. (I'm no fashion arbiter but ALL girls and women's outfits cling, look 'cheap'--quality, fabric, workmanship--men's don't look any better).

YET AGAIN, ANOTHER set of rules for the black folks in the White House??

A staffer for Republican Rep. Stephen Fincher (TN) took to Facebook this week to attack Sasha and Malia Obama, President Barack Obama’s daughters, for failing to show what she deemed to be sufficient respect for their father’s annual pardoning of a Thanksgiving turkey.

According to Gawker, Elizabeth Lauten, former new media political director for the Republican National Committee, wrote an open letter to the two girls, attacking their facial expressions and clothing choices.

“Dear Sasha and Malia,” wrote Lauten, “I get that you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part that you play. Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.”

She continued, “Nevertheless, stretch yourself, rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised, public events.”

For the pardoning ceremony, elder daughter Malia wore a long-sleeved sweater, a plaid schoolgirl skirt and opaque tights. Sasha Obama wore a mini-dress that hit her at mid-thigh with a long-sleeved cardigan sweater.

Both girls rolled their eyes when their father made a joke, as teen girls typically do when their father says something he thinks is funny.

IMHO Elizabeth Lauten showed herself to be complete scum with this shameless attack on the presidents daughters. The girls did not do anything wrong and were dressed in a perfectly appropriate manner.
Of course she later apologized, but only after she realized that she was in real danger of losing her job.

I think that Fincher owes the children a written apology in addition to the parents of the children for his unnecessary and callous remarks. Hopefully the republican party is not becoming the clothing police for Americans; I'm sure if he had his way he'd have girls of school age wearing floral print dresses and lace up oxfords.

Sasha and Malia seem like fine young ladies. I'd be honored to be their dad. The prez and Michelle seem to have done a real find job raising 'em.

Looks like Fincher must have read our posts here; it now appears that a staffer has issued a written apology for the uncalled for remarks made to the girls. Staffer Elizabeth Lauten, the communications director for Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.) issued a written apology.

Considering the underhandedness of the left, the perpetually foul and cheap shots at every act, word and dignity from any conservative. It makes what this woman said seem rather quaint and charming in comparison. That said, I believe that the Presidents children should be off limits. Their attire looked completely appropriate to me. Their expressions were not in the least offensive. And I thought they did great. After all, this was a Turkey Pardoning event for gosh sakes... a bit of levity.
