Granted, they don't have freedom of expression in North Korea. But, on the world stage, does a leader have the right to call another leader a monkey?

I have made the poll options straightforward.

Does a leader have a "right"? What?! Is America going to run to the World Court or U.N. because Obama was called a monkey? The world stage can't get Kim Jong Un to stop trying to build nukes much less something as minor as calling another leader names.

No, he should say, "I'm rubber and your glue, whatever you say bounces of me and sticks to you!". That would be the appropriate response to that level of maturity.

I think Obama has more important things to do then to worry about some childish remarks made by a spoiled child from another country. Kim can say whatever he wants, but it doesn't make it relevant or important.

Both Obola Hussein and Kim Jong Un are useless.

But at least Obola believes in democracy, which makes him slightly superior to Kim. What is letting Obola down is his anti-Israel stance, his support of the Thugs in the USA, the Benghazi cover-up and the inability to control illegal immigration.

Yes, it was freedom of speech. It's funny how being the leader of a nation lets you say anything you want.

This poll lacks clarity - so I decided not to cast a vote.

    Kim Jong Who?

[I realize that in English the game with the name doesn't sound great, in Italian is better].

Mah, he can say what he wants. At the end he is a step far from becoming a licit target for NATO armies, so let him enjoy his last months ...

I just found out that Kim did not call Obama a monkey.

The US media took it as though he did for obvious reasons.

Read his exact quote -- he just said BO was careless "like" a monkey.

Who cares what Kim Jong Un says. He is nothing but a cruel, petty dictator. I wonder what his subjects would say about him, if they had freedom of speech.

FINALLY, THAT'S the way it's done.

Yes he was, just as you are in your poster, A dictator of a sovereign nation has probably the largest bundle of rights on Earth. He is sovereign in both his nation and his person. If he was on an organizational chart the block of "nothing and no one" would be over him.

Now that same doctrine of sovereign nations does give us the right to turn NK into the glowing jewel of Asia for the next 10 millennia, but we are a forbearing people, and our enemies are not the people of the countries that oppose us. Besides, it would hurt the South.

Kim just keeps getting better and better. Beside being a dictator, a vicious murderer of millions, a stupid incompetent who has oppressed his own people for decades he seems now to be a racist. Truly not just a waste of skin but a violation of the purpose.

How would you define a right? Seems to me we all have rights in so far as the law doesn't try to take them away from us, and there's no international law against calling a man a monkey. Nor should there be, as far as I'm concerned.

What ever happened to sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me? Seems to me that every little thing that every person says simply gets blown up into a "news" "story" for the sake of sensationalism. This stupid monkey story is just that. Who gives a rip?

    - - - Updated - - -

Not that it matters either way, of course. Even if he had claimed that 0bama was a monkey, reporting on this is still just hype and click-baiting.

You are right, this is America. We don't back down from anything . . . well, at least we didn't until Obozo got into office.
You and Obozo can both go and bow down to idiotic third world has-beens.

Kim Jong Un is a citizen of a foreign country. He is under no requirement to observe American ideas of "political correctness", politeness, or civility. I'm sure you can throw race-cards at him until he is completely covered up in them and he won't give a damn at all.

In the same way, it's fair if Americans (or other citizens of other countries) refer to Kim Jong Un in highly unflattering, ugly ways, too. In terms of who looks like what kind of animal, neither of them does. But, IMHO, both of them are totalitarian morons! Obama is an America-hating Socialist, and Kim Jong Un is an America-hating Communist. "A pox on both their houses."
