Why we need a Internet Party in the USA By: Paul Mickey Note I do not represent the Internet Party in anyway

    FYI: this isn’t complete
Here is why we need an Internet Party in the USA for the following reasons. First, let me give you some history in 2012 the US and New Zealand government illegally spied on Kim Dotcom founder of Megaupload. Why did they spy on him? It was because Hollywood wanted them to because he had a website that people used as a gateway to pirate stuff. So what does he end up doing? Kim went on and created the Internet Party in New Zealand on March of 2014. It was a good move the greater move is when it comes to the USA in 2015. This is the peoples’ government and also it is the peoples’ internet too. So the Constitution should apply there right? Well it hasn’t because the same people that are against Kim Dotcom are against internet freedom too. One thing that needs to happen is that we need to take back our government and our internet. We need to also have the NSA shut down. The internet is our right to have. Another thing that needs to happen is companies like Google need to stop tracking us and not just claim they want the government to stop they need to stop too. Here is one thing you didn’t know Google keeps track of where you go if you leave your phone’s gps on. They also would read your email to get ads too. I use Google’s products everyday so they know what I do. So why do I still use them it’s because there aren’t much companies that won’t track you. Here is another thing I think is wrong the government will allow companies like Apple to have a monopoly on their products. I thought monopolies were illegal. Take Microsoft for example when they automatically put Internet Explorer with Windows it was illegal. Then why isn’t it with Apple when you have to use their stuff or stuff approved by them? The reason is that Hollywood uses Apple products every day. If we can reform our government we could have the technology to get renewable energy more available to the public. But why don’t we because the government is greedy and wants more money. That is also why they put taxes on our internet. If this was a free country and anyone can run for president then why can’t most people run? It is because you have to know people, have money, and know people in HOLLYWOOD. So why am I putting most of the blame on Hollywood? It is simple they want everyone to believe and act like they do not have their own opinions. Even our government wants us to do the same as Hollywood it’s because they get lots of money for campaigns and sponsorships and if we don’t act the same they won’t get the money. I also think if our founding fathers saw us today they would be disappointed. So let also have a more open country with our own open opinions. Look even free speech can’t even be done today. Look at the peaceful protests. They might also get arrested for free speech. Look at all the departments in the government today. It is too many for example the IRS. Also the government can censor what they want because if they don’t like it then they cover up our free speech even if it was legal. I don’t want to get in to much religion but the government and companies like Facebook don’t want God brought up anymore. You know what we have a freedom to religion. I think it is bad when our basic right get covered up nowadays. Also if we are created equal then why aren’t we? Look at Kim Dotcom’s case the government don’t like him and he did nothing wrong. If we could have everyone to get along to be able to agree on the same stuff that is open and free us as a whole could be a better world. I think we need to look past the influence of money and do what is right and what is wrong and that could help too. I think Americans are too uptight these days. I guess if you don’t like an issue and you are not in Hollywood just hack them and pull a Guardians of Peace approach don’t do that though it could be dangerous for you because they get what they want already and Hollywood wants to keep it that way. You know I like Apple co-founder Steve Wozinak’s views on things and I think he should be the Internet Party’s candidate for the 2016 election… TO BE CONTINUED

The issue is complex. Since the internet is a hobby most of the left enjoys, they're pretty tolerant of its use in defiance of state regulation, taxation, that sort of thing. Many even see crypto-anarchist services like the Silk Road as at least a step in the right direction: toward internet freedom.

All of this I am of course in favor of.

The problem arises with internet infrastructure. Such a party would almost certainly run most of its policy on net neutrality, and I have no interest in such a policy.

If you're such an Internet expert you should know that the dreaded Wall-of-Text doesn't help you.

Seriously, no offense, but paras are your friend, and your reader's too

All good ideas. Count me in to your party. Saay, could I run as a candidate in a local election, to increase visibility?

If Facebook doesn't want God mentioned, well, it IS their service, so it's not like the gummint doing it. (I think the idea is to avoid Evangelists clogging the Intertubes with all that sticky Faith and Grace, yes?)

BTW, I really don't mind being tracked by Googol. Maybe they should make this available to police so my call to 911 about my kidnapping would be automatically tracked as it is still not done in several large metropolities who have better things to do with their money than protect their citizen's lives.

I don't see how green energy is going to power the internet. Not yet. The internet's powered by coal burning power plants. Deal with it.

Also if you take away the profit margin of the internet it's not going to stick around. That's why net neutrality isn't going anywhere.

But as far as government bans, censorship, and tracking users... yes I think the USA is working on that. There's going to be a highly encrypted update to the internet one day. It will keep oppressive governments from tracking their citizens' network activities. I've heard this but I'm not going to locate the article after all this time.

So, what do you think, which political party in the USA is going to become the pro-internet party? Democrats or Republicans?
