I simply said that Christianity isn't science, and then you compared Jesus to a chimpanzee. Can't make this stuff up.

It would love to have the credibility and consistency of science, then more people would believe in Christianity and Jesus could see fewer people go to "hell" (brutal torture), but even though it's founder is "all-powerful" it doesn't do that.....why? Because it's not real, or it's immoral....either way he's not worth worshiping.

Yes we get it, you hate Christianity. You're a special snowflake, exactly like almost everyone else on this forum.

I LOVE humanity, and want to see it overcome its delusion. Jesus is the one who HATES, as about 70 BILLION people who have ever lived (that are not Christians), will be tortured on his command - for just not believing in his magic. Now THAT'S hatred, and disgusting, and sickening.

Who are you trying to convince here? I'm a Christian, and am just shrugging your stuff off... so... where are you going with all of this? What's your point?

Like the former Christian I see in the mirror each morning, religious people can't "just shrug off" logic, science, reason, and common sense forever. The truth will start to take its toll on the fairy tale.

Well to a religious person, he wouldn't need any proof. To an atheist, there isn't enough proof, even if it could be piled up the height of Mt. Everest. And that is the tremendous problem with beliefs. I don't think there is anything more powerful in human existence. For they will resist all forces, and even Truth cannot prevail against them. This illusion we sense as the ego is so powerful, and beliefs are important to the self image, the ego. Hardly anything can surpass it.

Nonsense. The "all-knowing", "all-powerful" Jesus would of course KNOW what level of evidence it would take to get most non-believers to believe in him (likely to a jury-level of evidence - but Jesus would know better than I), but he doesn't care enough about us to simply provide said evidence. No need to interfere with "free will", just provide the evidence that only he can provide. He won't, because he's immoral....or not real....either way, he's not worth worshiping. The tide is turning.

You DO, on a daily basis, and we love you for that.

While Jesus hates humanity so much that he'd torture Ben Franklin, etc. forever for using their logic and reason (not believing in Jesus' paltry, unproven magic is more important to Jesus than discovering electricity), you on the other hand, love humanity so much that you can't bear to see it be so delusional, so you fight the good fight almost every day here. You are one of my heroes, and are clearly better than Jesus/god. I know you are.

    Well...thank you.

That is very kind of you to say.

I think people need to simply....LEAVE EACH OTHER ALONE!!!

I don't walk into a Church and start talking about what I believe.....and I don't want anyone ringing my doorbell trying to convince me about what they believe.

It's just the truth. You are far far morally superior to the alleged "Jesus", as I believe you'd do things that the "all-powerful", "all-caring" (ha!) Jesus steadfastly has refused to do for 2000+ years, such as give us the cure for cancer, etc. if you had it. You're too moral to sit there while innocent children, through no fault of their own, die agonizing deaths from a disease he'd obviously have the cure for. You'd likely exchange your own life to give said cure to the world. I would. Don't sell yourself short. Jesus is considered the #1 best person of all time, and I think you are head and shoulders above him. You're better than the "best" person to have ever lived, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. You're not a "sinner"....you're awesome!

Jesus won't let the Jews into heaven (Hitler wouldn't have, either) allegedly. But I bet YOU would, if you had that power. Again, I think you're far far better than Jesus.

I bet you believe in the Golden Rule.....so Jesus doesn't have you beaten there.

Jesus won't abolish "hell" (he seems to like having his own personal Auschwitz), but I'm sure you'd exchange your own life to eliminate "hell", so that, say, moral Hindus, don't suffer torture worse than Saddam ever even dreamed of subjecting his worst enemy to. I put Jesus in the same category as Saddam, but not you.

The biggest issue I have is the concept of a HELL.

I KNOW that what a person could call HELL exists right here on Earth as I have been through it.

But think about this....no matter how bad a thing a person has done no crime can have INFINITE PUNISHMENT.

Everything I've said about you on this thread is true, so don't be surprised that you're better than Jesus.

You're better than Elijah, too, far better. I'm fairly confident that instead of having all 450 prophets of Baal SLAUGHTERED (1 Kings 18:40), you'd probably show compassion towards them, work with them to show them a better way, have patience with them....since you appear to show compassion to people on this forum, I've noticed (you seem at least a bit more compassionate than I am, but we both want the same thing in the end.)

You are more consistent than around, say, 5+ billion people, as they seem to have invisible friends that seem to actually HATE humanity a lot.....but supposedly LOVE humanity as well....whoa, inconsistency. Your science is far more consistent than their magic (even though they are usually well-intended.)

You love them, but they don't return the favor, as they are perfectly fine with their "Jesus" seeing that you are tortured beyond imagine for simply thinking differently than Jesus. You're too compassionate to endorse a scheme like that, I believe.

As I stated....I would just be happy if people could leave each other alone.

Because of what I am and what I do and have done I have seen death up close and personal and I have seen horrors that I have a hard time discussing.

90% of the time such Horrors have been perpetrated upon others by people of Extreme Religious or Political Ideology.

The very worse things about Humanity come about when people think that their way is the only way.

You keep proving me right about you.
And Christians/Muslims, though well-intended, keep proving me right about Jesus/Mohammad.

I'm convinced that you would, GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY THAT JESUS HAD, do exactly what "Jesus" allegedly did, and that is give your own life, enduring a few days of brutal torture, to "save" humanity. You'd probably do this for even just your own extended FAMILY (even if it was not for all of humanity), am I right!? If so, then realize that the person considered the greatest moral person of all time has nothing on you.

Since you are a member of the greatest species in the history of the known universe, you are also one of the greatest creatures in the history of the known universe. Trillions of trillions of living creatures throughout history, and you are at the top. Really think about that for a minute.

Unlike Jesus, you are humble. You'll admit when you are wrong. Jesus was wrong about slavery (he accepted it), but over the last (supposed) 2000 years he's never admitted it. You allow your belief system to improve (that's tacit admission that you were, well, basically, wrong at one point, arguably...takes a big person to do that). But Jesus doesn't allow improvement/change, as his ego is far bigger than yours: "And if anyone removes any of the words from this book of prophecy, God will remove that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book." http://biblehub.com/revelation/22-19.htm

I would die for my family.

I have died to protect other peoples families.

I was shot several times working in the field because I make a really stupid mistake and after what seemed like forever we were extracted and I was given Synth-Morph and my heart stopped and so did my breathing.

I was clinically dead for a time until they brought me back and...no...no light....no singing angels...just like going to sleep and not dreaming.

I learned an enormous amount from this experience and it has kept me and many others alive.

As far as being a member of the greatest species in the history of the known universe....no....there are other races existing that are much closer to that description but that doesn't mean Humanity can't rise to the occasion.

The god of the Bible was allegedly "happy" (I'm not making this up!) dashing BABIES against rocks, so maybe the god of the bible should be killed like the 450 prophets of Baal?

And I think this is the problem. Too many people have rendered themselves completely inconvincible. So the evidence doesn't really even matter anymore. Since no amount can change their position anyway. It is at this point where I think we have to acknowledge that some people's inability to believe in God is based not on proof but on choice.

You keep proving me right. :-D

    .................

Greatest species: I made a point about saying "known universe", but it's certainly possible that greater species do exist, that we just don't know about yet. But regarding what can be proven, you are a member of the greatest species ever known. If they do exist, then it can be argued that the Bible is wrong (at least a good case can be made for that.)

    Baal? LOL!!!

OK...Wga...you will like this and what I am about to tell you is 100% FACT.

If one were allowed to tour the U.S. Military's Cheyanne Mountain Facility.....and if one were allowed to go down to the 3rd lowest level....and travel west down a corridor about 3/4ths of the way down they would see a door on the right and the sign on that door actually say's......SGC COMMAND.

When one opens the door they find..........A BROOM CLOSET!!

    I am NOT kidding!!
