I've set up three brand new locations for my company in three states and specialize in quality control and audit preparation for ISO9001 certification. I'm well versed in the industry, especially in shale which is where my labs I've opened are focused. I know more about DOT regs than most people and usually have a heads up on industry changes months in advance.

Shale oil = oil that is embedded inside rocks. Shale oil = fracking to extract it. How am I wrong? I've done all my work in areas of the country that are shale plays. North Dakota, Colorado niobrara, Wyoming niobrara/Bighorn.

Perhaps your ignorance can be forgiven by the fact that the veto has not been uses nearly as much in recent years as it was in the past.

The President knows that the GOP is no where near having a veto proof majority. He also knows that in many of these cases, the GOP won't be able to overcome a Democratic filibuster in the Senate.

So does everyone else in that room last night, even if you don't understand the poltical ramnifacations of what that means.

The GOP is in a good position to get some of things it wants. But the President is still in a much better position,and they all know it.

He put a deal on the table for Keystone XL, as a way of setting the tone.

The US economic increase is fueled by cheap gasoline.

Gasoline is blood that pumps through the veins of the American economy.

Obama and pals did everything in their power to raise the price of gas, to slow all US economic activity.

The housing bubble didnt destroy the US economy in 2008, prolonged gas prices over $4/gallon did.

 

Efficiency is the hallmark of progress.

Asking for a less efficient system, to keep people another industry profitable is a highway to regression.

 

The ONLY way oil companies invest in rigs, exploration, drilling etc is if the ppb is high enough that they can make a profit.

 

It's not US oil being transported through the pipelines. It's by Canada, for Canada.
