The Speaker of the House has invited Netanyahu to speak to Congress. Obama has informed the press he will not meet with him while he is in Washington.

IMO he is acting like a spoiled little brat. Since Obama didnt invite Netanyahu to Washington he wont meet with him!!!!! Whaaaaaa Whaaaaa since it wasnt my idea even tho Israel is one our major allies I just wont talk to him.

Pathetic-------------as I say just like a spoiled 4 year old!!!!!!

Wow, that is pretty fricken embarrassing to the Nation.

He is the lead diplomat even if he doesn't do the inviting, which Congress is perfectly allowed to do. I suppose it just shows how much Obama hates Israel and this is certainly not going to help that relationship. Obama is seriously leaving a lot of repair work for the next president to do.

    Very sad.

Common US policy is not to meet with foreign leaders just before they are up for election so as not to show favoritism. Boner overstepped his authority with the invitation.

The truth is Obama is acting like a spoiled 4 year old. This snub will probably be remembered in the 2016 election by Jewish voters, and it should be.

Why would he need to? Obama didn't invite him to begin with. Its Boehner who invited him. Let Boehner talk to him. We all know what Boehner wants, just like we know what Obama wants. Obama isn't going to play Boehners game, so let Boehner talk to Netanyahu. By the way, maybe Boehner will talk to Netanyahu about job creation in the U.S. when he comes, since that was going to be Boehners focus when the GOP took over everything? :roflol: What a joke.

If the Jewish voters are that stupid to buy this con game, they would never vote for the left in 2016 anyway.

It is protocol not to meet with foreign leaders while they are engaged in an election campaign.

But Boehner was obliging so bibi's campaign could leverage the photo op and controversy he will stir up wrt Iran and the Israeli rights paranoia over nukes.

Seems bibi's appeal remains strictly with his base in Likud (neo-Zionist all the way) since roughly 76% of Israelis didn't vote for Likud in the last election and current polling has the party in the same place going into this election.

I am no fan of President Obama and am a registered Republican - the Speaker of the House was way out of line as was Netanyahu foe extending and accepting an invitation which by protocol should have been extended by the WH. In my opinion both men showed no respect for the office of the President. They can dislike President Obama all they, like but in ignoring protocol they show really inappropriate and unbecoming behaviour .

Obama is a stubborn and petty little man. He is just upset that Congress will be using a pen and a phone.

Since Barack Hussein is pro Hamas, it's easy to understand why the golfer isn't meeting with Netanyahu.

Who's protocol? And when does a campaign begin? It begins here about a year before an election. So did Obama refuse to meet with any heads of other nations when he was running? This was Obama weaseling out of his duties yet one more time.

When the Republicans take office Bibi will be a thorn in their butts as well. Boehner will regret it.

Whats the matter, are leftists afraid our congress will be informed? Don't worry Obama will reach across the aisle and veto anything he doesn't like.
What rocket scientist here thinks Israel will fail to defend itself by whatever means necessary? If I were Obama in the interest of world peace, I would be meeting with him. Obviously our President doesn't think a possible thermonuclear event is important enough to even discuss. Hes a constant in over his head embarrassment to the nation.

Hamas didn't exist until the mid 1980s... Israel has been a pain in the rear for every president since Truman.. even Truman. Truman was horrified that the bullied had become the bullies. Israel has never wanted peace.. They want more land and Palestine free of Arabs.

Oh please.. Bibi speaks to the US Congress every year.. He's got a canned speech that starts with the old testament entitlement and progresses thru persecutions in Europe and on to the Holocaust, the Mufti and how they are victims of the Palestinians.. Then he blathers on about how Iran is an existential threat to Israel and how he'll bomb Iran if the US doesn't. Most in Congress know it by heart.

Well, seeing as Netanyahu manages to keep pissing off everyone he meets wherever he goes I'm guessing Obama won't be losing any sleep.

Since when has Israel been interested in peace?

The creep openly brags about deliberately fouling up the Oslo peace accords, smirks about what an easily manipulated pushover America is, and you really want this arrogant psychopath lecturing Congress?

To be honest, not sucking Israel's phallus is one of the best things Obama has done. I understand the whole ally in the region thing and I understand that we must all be afraid of radical Islam, but I've never once been okay with our unwavering support for a government just as happy to kill innocent people as the people they are fighting are. I honestly see no real difference between one of the Palestinian organizations killing innocent people and the Israeli military killing innocent people. The double standard that everyone lulls themselves with is fake. It doesn't exist. Killing innocent people is wrong no matter who is doing it.
