Around 1,000 people took part in a peaceful protest to denounce the recent fatal police shooting of a Mexican-born 35 year-old American in a town of Pasco, Washington State.
Hundreds of people, mostly from the Pasco’s Hispanic community, gathered in Volunteer Park on Saturday to commemorate Antonio Zambrano-Montes, an unarmed Mexican national, who was killed by police officers on Tuesday.
Speakers from local and state levels, as well as clergy addressed the crowd, reminding it of the importance of maintaining peace – and the rally confined to Ferguson-styled placards and mottos, like “It’s protect and serve, not obey or die,” “Use your training not your guns” or even “We are all Antonio.”

Colored minorities are ready to revolt every possible moment in America. They are the most instable element of our society. Why the Government do not understand how dangerous this "trend" is? These peaceful demonstration may be the very first step of a huge riot.

It's been a few weeks, je suis Charlie's time on George Clooney's breastpin has ended - the time of je suis Antonio has begun.

    Born in Mexico.

Said to be a 35 year old American.

    But he's a Mexican national.

I'm smelling refried beans, not coffee.

Did you notice all of the cases of cerveza on the table along with all the bottles of tequila ?

All of the Mexicans seem to be looking towards the taco truck.

It's going to take more than a few tacos and a bean burritos to fill all of those beer bellies I see.

If we didn't allow them to break the law in the first place by coming to our country unlawfully, then we might not have these type of problems. Not saying the police were right or wrong, but the idea that we do not protect our borders is down right insane.

It isn't possible to deal with savages as you would with rational beings. This is why, as much as possible, live far away from cities or any disgruntled groups with an 'axe to grind'. The best way is to 'Go Galt' and let the savages slaughter each other. When they are done, come out of hiding and re-establish this nation as the Founding Fathers envisioned.

Neo-Nazis everywhere. The "Founding Fathers" were immigrants. The only difference is, they are white.

It would serve us right, and then a few delegates from Russia could come over to give them support, and pay them in the meantime to continue the protests. Maybe then we can get rid of the oligarchs controlling Washington, and turn America back into a real democracy...like Ukraine.:roflol:

Uhhh! I have news for you, the spiritual and moral foundations of this nation is Christianity, and it has no relationship to your racist and elitist concepts...something I thought had died out with the pagan nationalism of WWII. I guess the phoenix will always rise again...

A little history lesson here. The British king granted land to denominations who felt they were being persecuted, and because of this every English colony had its own established Church. For example: Pennsylvania belonged to the Quakers, Maryland to the Catholics, Massachusetts to the Congregationalists, etc.

When the constitution was written up, the colonists feared the Federal government might establish its own Church, so they put in a clause separating Church and State. This protected people's right to worship as they pleased... it didn't mean that worship wasn't allowed. Religious services were even being held in the rotunda of the Capitol Building every Sunday.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that the secularism that exists today, is very alien to this nation. Even Toqueville when he visited at the first half of the 19th century was shocked at how devout everyone was, and attributed it to the separation of Church and State. I know our Founding Fathers believed that without Christianity it was impossible to have a democracy. ..and guess what? Your viewpoints are very antithetical to Christianity...so please do not equate them with the foundations of this country. :oldman:

Are you familiar with the Jefferson Bible? Jefferson attempts to take the irrationality out of the NT and make sense out of the Bible. This was difficult to do, even to so great a mind as his.

The FFs established this nation under the following premise: the purpose of a man's life is his personal happiness. Man does not exist to serve God, King, or his neighbors. Man's own happiness is and should be his goal. Government should have as its purpose to protect the individual right to pursue one's own happiness without threat of initiation of force or fraud by others or the government.

This has little to do with Christianity. I suggest that you check your premises, madam.

An innocent man is shot to death and some here see fit to make jokes about it. Tragic.

Sadly the term Deist has been lost to Christianity.

    NEWS FLASH
    The Founding Fathers were Deist.
As "Enlightened" folks and many being Masons
they acknowledged, something Greater, just not specifically what "it" was.

Although Deism is NOT in the Constitution, it certainly is in the Declaration of Independence via the wonderful phrase
"The Laws of Nature And Nature's God" how wonderful.
Some may say it is just poetic.
    I say :blahblah:
it is an acknowledgement of a higher power, ala AA, Jung, etc.
Just not the Judeo Christian deity. And that does not make them atheist.
    They are deist.

You don't know Christianity, or you would know God's Grace supersedes man's reasoning. You are interpreting Jefferson through your limited comprehension.

This has everything to do with Christianity because you said this nation was based on pagan precepts. Here are a few quotes from the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Thomas Jefferson – God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that His justice cannot sleep forever.

James Madison – “We have staked the whole future of our new nation, not upon the power of government; far from it. We have staked the future of all our political constitutions upon the capacity of each of ourselves to govern ourselves according to the moral principles of the Ten Commandments.”

“Religion [is] the basis and foundation of Government”

“Cursed be all that learning that is contrary to the cross of Christ.”

Samuel Adams - I … [rely] upon the merits of Jesus Christ for a pardon of all my sins.

We have this day [Fourth of July] restored the Sovereign to whom all men ought to be obedient. He reigns in Heaven, and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His Kingdom come.

The name of the Lord (says the Scripture) is a strong tower; thither the righteous flee and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). Let us secure His favor and He will lead us through the journey of this life and at length receive us to a better.

The rights of the colonists as Christians…may be best understood by reading and carefully studying the institutes of the Great Law Giver and Head of the Christian Church, which are to be found clearly written and promulgated in the New Testament.

    George Washington
-It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.”

“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable.”

We beseech [God] to pardon our national and other transgressions…

Oh, eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, words and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the Lamb and purge my heart by Thy Holy Spirit. Daily, frame me more and more in the likeness of Thy son, Jesus Christ, that living in Thy fear, and dying in Thy favor, I may in thy appointed time obtain the resurrection of the justified unto eternal life. Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind and let the world be filled with the knowledge of Thee and Thy son, Jesus Christ.

True religion affords to government its surest support.

    John Adams
The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God. -

The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected, in one indissoluble bond, the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.

Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

I have examined all religions, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world.

The Christian religion is, above all the religions that ever prevailed or existed in ancient or modern times, the religion of wisdom, virtue, equity and humanity.

The Fourth of July ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty.

As the safety and prosperity of nations ultimately and essentially depend on the protection and the blessing of Almighty God, and the national acknowledgment of this truth is not only an indispensable duty which the people owe to Him. -

Benjamin Rush “The only foundation for . . . a republic is to be laid in Religion. Without this there can be no virtue, and without virtue there can be no liberty, and liberty is the object and life of all republican governments.”

Let the children…be carefully instructed in the principles and obligations of the Christian religion. This is the most essential part of education. -

Christianity is the only true and perfect religion…

John Witherspoon “He is the best friend to American liberty, who is most sincere and active in promoting true and undefiled religion, and who sets himself with the greatest firmness to bear down on profanity and immorality of every kind. Whoever is an avowed enemy of God, I scruple not to call him an enemy to his country.”

John Dickinson “The rights essential to happiness. . . . We claim them from a higher source — from the King of kings and Lord of all the earth.”

The problem is, the ones that are making jokes don't consider anybody non-white ever to be innocent. Therefore whenever one dies or gets hurt, its a joke to them.

But good luck to those conservatives in the future, people don't have short memories.

We have laws. When our own government does not enforce them, this anarchy is the result.

Charlie actually dictated this to me. He's in the next cell. His internet privileges were revoked for a month because he kept waking everyone up in the middle of the night, watching porn and shouting 'Thunderball!!'

    Jeanette,
If Jefferson was Christian, why did he try to re-write the Bible?

Were some of the Founders Christians? Sure. Everyone then gave lip service or they would never have been where they were. Play along to get along. For ex, would someone become governor of Alabama in 1920 if they publicly espoused anti-racist views?

The FFs were primarily Deists. They thought of God like Spinoza or Einstein did. Most enlightened people did. (Otherwise, God would have to accept blame for starvation, war, and sundry other things.)

This thread baffles me, we have some people assembling peacefully, protesting something they feel is wrong peacefully and there are those complaining? Heck I wish all people in this country who have problems with their government acted the same way. Coming together as a community to protest the actions of your government in a peaceful way is fantastic. We as a country NEED more people like this so that the government knows that the people not the bureaucracy is in charge. Also all you folks that brought up race in this, I truly wish we could replace all of you with more of them because in this country I would rather have an immigrant activist instead of a keyboard racist.
