    I hate the Bushies. :steamed:
No one dislikes the elitist Bushies more than Moi

If it were a Hillary vs Jeb choice -
I would probably choose Jeb expecting him to be easier on the Mexicans.
It would take Hillary to make me vote "Jeb"
Otherwise I would vote Third Party.

But.......... it sure looks like George W. Bush allowed the left wing American media to accuse him of being a pawn to the V.P. and certain groups, when in fact what was probably happening is that as President he knew that the American public could not handle the full truth?!

Russia got ahead of the USA in at least one area of the arms race. The ability to build small, softball sized dirty nuclear weapons that some terrorist organizations would be quite willing to use.

Once Saddam became orientated toward obtaining nuclear weapons, with all the money that he had at his disposal, it is difficult to imagine him not being able to acquire them somehow, especially considering how poor Russian nuclear scientists were after the collapse of the Soviet Union????

The bottom line is that during the Bush administration an even worse terrorist attack than September 11, 2001 did not occurr....... so.......... he must have done something right????!

On the other hand I must admit that Michael Moore did make a powerful point that assisting everybody from Saudi Arabia to get home as quickly as possible after the attack may not have been the most courageous possible response?!?!

Then again......… we are addicted to both oil as well as oil money that is invested in our economies so........ if I had been in President Bush's shoes I might just have made the very same mistake......… or perhaps far worse????!

    Try Another View

    Clinton = Bush = Obama

Same Wars, although locations may change.
Same Russia & China hegemony, both here and there
    Same Rich get Richer economics

What is a RepubloCrat in La Canada?
You know. Change parties but nothing changes.
Like this EU supporting party or that EU supporting party for the Euros.

    I disagree!

Back when P. M. Stephen Harper booted M. P. Bill Casey out of the Conservative Party.......... I had difficulty figuring out what in the world somebody as impressive as M. P. Peter MacKay was doing working for him????!

I came to the conclusion that Mr. Peter MacKay had little choice because if he were to leave the Conservative movement his dad would be heart broken?!

But then the 2011, G-8 meeting comes along...… and P. M. Stephen Harper, (in spite of his many failings in other ways)......… hits the ball right out of the park........... and metaphorically takes out the seven Goliath brothers?????!

    http://www.christianforums.com/t7829264/

Pray that P. M. Stephen Harper initiate a peace deal between Jordan and Israel?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a member of a different Canadian political party but……… I have to admit that P. M. Stephen Harper is for good reason regarded as a rather "Davidic" figure by a high percentage of Israelis.

What he did for Israel back in 2011 at the G-8 was one of the most courageous and wise acts by a political leader that I have seen since I began to watch world events back in the '70's!

"On Israel, Harper Stands Alone at G-8 Summit - The Globe and Mail."

    .........................

Because the man showed serious chutzpah...… and courage....... and intelligence...… and wisdom......… and competence......… I have been rendered useless as any type of traditional political blogger. I seem to get something almost like a lump in my throat as I read any article about what he is up to..... no matter how vehemently he is criticized in that article...........(I am fairly certain that I am NOT going Gay)??????????!......(But I respect the guy)!!!

If Americans had decided to elect Mitt back in 2012 P. M. Stephen Harper would have had himself an ally who would have had a world view much closer to his...… which would be good news in some ways...… but I have to admit........ probably bad news for the environment?!.... and for Caribou.....and for spotted owls....... and for.....

If Americans had elected John McCain and Sarah Palin back in 2008, P. M. Stephen Harper would not have had quite such an extreme opportunity to shine in 2011??????!

Religious liberty is of course code for discrimination in the name of religion.

So much for the big tent more inclusive reinvention of the GOP

Again Jeb is not my first choice, but he would be a vast improvement over anyone the dims have! At least we would get better protection of the Second Amendment, First Amendment, the Constitution, and our country.

I see. Gun rights are more important than human rights. The ability to own an assault riffle is more important than a gay couple's ability to provide their children with the security of having two legal, married parents. Brilliant! Just freaking brilliant.

Gun rights help guarantee human rights like "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness!" Do you even know what an assault rifle is and how many crimes they are involved in?

It would be easier for Jeb to seperate himself from his brother if he hadn't been a lapdog the whole Presidency.

I love it! They are tearing themselves apart already over this social conservative religious crap. The Republicans brought it on themselves by getting in bed with the religious right and now they will pay the price.:clapping::clapping::clapping:

With 59% of Americans favoring gender equality in marriage, a pol kowtowing to the ever-shriveling minority who resist is an awkward posture to assume.

The progress that has been achieved in marital equality is a moving target. A bulls eye now is far to the right of the mark just a little while later, a quandary for any politician impersonating a leader whilst pandering to obstinate retrogressives.

    Meanwhile, society advances.

Republican Governor Charlie Baker didn't squirm or hedge when he consistently said he supports it. He got attacked by the hysterical evangatollah types, of course, but leaves them in the dust in the long run - "that vision thing" that Poppy Bush cited.

Pols playing to the hidebound enthusiasts of discrimination might be better to seek the cover afforded by Cheney being out in front on the issue.

Of course, he's not running for anything these days - just away from some really awful stuff.

My dad is disappointed that I categorically won't support Bush but I really have no desire to be rational about having another Bush.

But………. even 66 to 87% percent of the professors at Liberty University might just be interested in a theory about how one of G-d's plans for the Gay Community…. is to use them to expand the range of choices for expectant mothers so that the incidence of abortion is decreased?

    http://www.christianforums.com/t7728763/

Do you agree that God has plans for the Gay community?

Yes, God owns this studio, we are the actors playing out our role! 10 …...26.32%

No, God would never compromise one millionth of an inch with sin!!!! 11 ……..28.95%

Yes, deep down we all love God and He has good planned for all of us. 15 ……..39.47%

I have really never considered this idea before??? 8 ……... 21.05%

The problem is that to many pro life people don't think that gays should get near kids leave alone adopt them. They claim to care about the kids but don't want gays to marry so that their children, often the biological child of one, can have the security of two married parents who are both the legal parents. I don't know that Liberty U is the place to pitch your idea.

But….. if five or ten reasonably well promoted documentary or reality film projects were put together starring five to ten expectant mothers…………………. if seven or eight of those potential mom's really really took seriously an offer to adopt by Gay couples….. then it would make little difference what a bunch of pastors thought about this………. except for the case of perhaps one or two of the moms………….(or maybe not because the potential mom's who would care about the opinion of pastors or priests would not be considering an abortion anyway………. would they)????????

I am pitching this idea to you……. on this discussion forum…… I am not pitching this to Liberty U….. but the results of that poll on a Christian discussion forum are at least somewhat of an indicator that attitudes are somewhat changing.

Or…….. was it the quotation from near death experiencer Christian Andreason that caused a significant percentage of these Christian discussion board posters to change their mind within moments of reading those couple of paragraphs?

Actually……. I rather like Jeb Bush and I rather liked his big brother as well.

If I was American I would probably vote for him in 2016 unless the Democrats put forward a candidate who impresses me as being wiser and more honest.

Mr. Al Gore would be a fantastic candidate if he gave me the impression that he now fully grasped the subject of Global Dimming.

jeb seems to be among the most sensible gop contenders
although imo that is a low bar to clear

i think that he is more conservative than people realize on the right or the left

i read some material about how he handled the terri schiavo case
ultimately even trying to indite her husband for murder
    way over the top imo

Well lets see what old Jeb has been up to lately:

Seriously dude? What equine excrement. If I'm not mistaken, gay guys tend to e more affluent. And in any case, marriage affords children greater financial security.
