Give it up man. I disagree with gay marriage and to people like you, I'm suddenly an anti-gay hateful bigot. Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day pulled in record revenue, while the Kiss-In the gays did in retaliation was an epic failure. "You" won nothing.

 

It's been stated that threads like these are always started so these guys can bash Christians... That was obviously a very accurate statement.

What I find peculiar, however, is that I've yet to get an answer about what their excuses are for those that feel the same about all of this, as the Christians do, but aren't religious at all.

 

Absolutely right. As good Christians, we DEMAND the right to treat queers like shlt, and if you favor equal treatment you are ANTI-CHRISTIAN and deserve to die.

Actually, religious people just want to be left alone and practice their religion without being forced between losing their livelihood or compromising their faith... That is all. There are many pizza parlors, bakers, etc. that would love to serve gay people.. Stop forcing people to do what they don't want to do.

 

So they have a lot in common with christians.....and it ISN'T gays who are trying to take away other citizens rights....

No it won't, unless you walk around in a tee shirt that says "I am a homosexual". Nobody requires you to disclose your beliefs and behavior when you walk in a door. I wouldn't walk into a bar declaring that I am an alcoholic and then complain if the bartender refused to serve me.

Most of the time, they seem pretty happy... Let's not force religious people to compromise their morals just because other people may not believe in what they believe it. Forcing people to bake cakes for same sex marriage is wrong when it is against their religion. There are many other bakers more than willing to do it.

I always defended their right to do that and to not touch pork.

I don't agree that homosexuality is a good thing and I question the efficacy of gay marriage.....HOWEVER...The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination so these State statutes are unconstitutional and will most likely be struck down by SCOTUS. Religious freedom does not mean discriminating against customers who believe differently, it means that one is free to practice their religion and clearly, a pizza parlor is not a place of worship.

 

No one is stopping you from buying food. You just demand people serve you food where and when you want.

 

This type of law has been in place in over 20 other states... A lot of the gays seem very, very well fed..



Your life is not in danger of starvation. Hyperbole perhaps.. but not starvation... Don't force religious people to choose between making a living or compromising their values.

Says nothing about about behavior. Anal sex and suction cupping does not fit under race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

 

And if I walked around in the tee-shirt declaring that I am a homosexual, what then? That gives you a right to discriminate? And due, if you are in a bar drinking, chances are you ARE an alcoholic. Everyone knows this. Even the bartender. And yet he still sells you booze, doesn't he? You don't have to declare yourself.

 

I'm cool with that... If that is their religion and not some made up hyperbole. You should be free to associate with anyone you want.. or don't want. Besides, there will be many other merchants more than willing to do business with Christians. The Christians will flock to them.
