Read the news articles. They said they refused to cater to gay weddings. So they refused to serve gays. It doesn't matter if they serve gays in other situations.

You don't seem to understand that you (general) can't create conditions for discrimination. I can't say "I'm willing to serve blacks. But I'm not willing to serve an interracial marriage" It doesn't work that way. The government would absolutely take that case as discrimination and in states where discriminating against gays is illegal they would absolutely take that as discrimination there as well. I don't know why you think they didn't say they'd refuse to serve gays just because they added a condition to it.

What they said was clear as day discrimination in any jurisdiction that protects homosexuals.

Did you know that evangelical millennials are 64% in favor of gay marriage? These are christians that don't hate. They may believe homosexuality is a sin but all that means to them is they won't be gay. I like those Christians. Those Christians are Christ like. Jesus Christ is one of my philosophical heroes. Christianity and bigotry are not married. Bigots hide behind christianity. non bigots have evolved their beliefs to be more loving and inclusive.

The event is not the customer. They gay couple getting married is. That's exactly how a court would view it. That's why businesses can't refuse to cater to interracial marriage. It's still discrimination. It's still refusing to serve gays. It's still hate. You don't get to pick the conditions of discrimination.
