Probably true...it is also doubtful that any Caucasian, Asian, or pretty much anyone but a black mother would have attacked the teacher and left her unconscious. There is a reason for my assumption and it was not because of racism.
Of course not...there are many cases of non-black parents attacking teachers, coaches....etc. I am however stating that there is a reason for the assumption in my commentary. There is a reason I tend to avoid certain neighborhoods in my city. There is a reason I pay closer attention to certain individuals when traveling or exploring. There is a reason I do not allow my wife to go into some areas alone....do you wonder why that might be?
Well we all take some of those same precautions, but most folks seem to get caught up where they least expect it.
Jesse Jackson knows that, as well. He admitted when he was in the city at night and heard footsteps behind him, he was relieved to turn and see a white man.
I guess you change your mind over time, because he wouldn't have said that in 1965 in Selma, Alabama.
You don't know that anything at all was said so why are you defending the parent? Do you really think words are an excuse for violence? How do you know what Jesse Jackson would have said 50 yrs. ago?
All we know is that a minor was assaulted and the Mother retaliated. Mothers are overly protective over their Children and rightly so, especially their Daughters.
That does not answer the question. Going by that logic it is not hard to figure out why he would feel safer seeing a white man behind him given the violent behavior demonstrated by blacks today. - - - Updated - - - How do we know a minor was assaulted?
"PEACH people?!".... oh ugh.....coming from a little kid. Not good and very telling about his upbringing and the teacher believed him, altho she didn't see/hear the whole incident - that's not good either. For one thing, within time, the teachers learn the personalities of each student and can make a fair judgment of a student, but they have to be totally impartial. From what I read here - good luck w/this teacher, dude..... she didn't see it, didn't hear it, but believed the boy. That screams volumes...... I remember times when my kids ran into incidents w/another kid that showed hostility towards them - not bad, but the seed was there and I told my kid to 'kill them w/kindness'.... always say just a simple 'hi' and always w/a smile and move on and do not say anything negative about them to others b/c they'll hear about it. Most of the time it worked. Well, it worked for my girls, but my son.......different story. Sometimes he and the other kid had to duke it out in order to come to a mutual understanding.
I was helping a friend on a project while back and he had employee working for him who had a degree in engineering from University of Washington, his dream was working at Boeing. He finally got hired by them but he was from Africa, can't remember where but had interesting dialect and was extremely intelligent. He said basically the same thing you just did, he doesn't understand it specially with all the opportunities we have here. It was actual eye opener for me.
Where does it say the student was 'assaulted'? You can be very protective of your kids, but you should also have enuf brains to know physical violence is NOT the answer and it's NOT the way to raise your kids b/c teaching them to be violent against others will ensure only ONE thing for your kid......jail and very possibly prison in their future. "Fighting fools" sure is correct........
You can blame American Culture for that, shoot and face repercussions after (GWB- Mantra, and BLiar also) - - - Updated - - - The Women who Beat Down the "teacher".
What was your point in asking how long he had been in America? - - - Updated - - - Where does it say that she is a lawyer? And assuming what she said is true(which I doubt) grabbing someones arm is not assault.
Very easily. She thinks her fists is the only problem solver she has. Apparently she doesn't have the maturity and speaking skills to sit down w/the teacher and have a conversation w/her about what happened....and also to realize her daughter is just a kid, very capable of making mistakes and needs to learn from them...... MOD EDIT - Off topic
It doesn't say in the OP. Guess you haven't researched this much have you. Apparently the child was struck. - - - Updated - - - You mean like America has no Diplomacy Skills? How do you know they didn't discuss it first?
