Can somebody provide concrete evidence that Israel is a friend? It's been 67 years now.

Israel has never allowed us to be an "aircraft carrier" like Britain, France, Germany, Japan, etc. etc. etc. have.

Granting us the privilege of being USED by them will not be considered concrete evidence.

Even the head of the Mossad has stated that Israeli policy is a national security problem for the US.

Your post reminds me of how senior citizens sometimes forget the names of their relatives, (kids or grandkids, especially!) and need to be reminded.

    Hey, people DO get senile!

And surely you'd know better than to ask a question with such an obvious answer, ordinarily.

    Here's a clue.

Israel shares many of the same values as the United States and thus they are likely allies in many situations.

Currently Israel and the US share intelligence information, some from Israel has been very important in the US's situations with regional powers and conflicts.

Israel and the United States have many Bi-national foundation that give grant moneys to US and Israeli institutions for all manner of research.

Israel stood down during the 1st Gulf War even after Scud Missiles landed in populated areas. This was due to American requests to keep the coalition together.

Israeli research has led to important discoveries such as the pillcam, collision prevention technology, equipment to extract air from water so diving and submarines would require no air tanks. Also the very technology you are using to write on this board has its antecedents in Israeli technology

Israel is a huge trading partner with the US creating a market for a great deal of American made goods.

    Should I go on?

Well, besides painting a huge bull's eye on our backs, Israel is not above selling OUR defense tech (missile defense, advanced radars, etc.) wherever it can find a buyer, including China.

Karma, I don't usually disagree with you, but none of what you said is evidence of anything. Even the "Israel stood down" statement is questionable because I believe promises were made at the time that led to Gulf War II AND we needed Israel to stay out to keep the coalition together. And we are not dependent on Israel for anything, not even as a market.

Obviously you and I have differing opinions re: "concrete evidence". Post #3 had nothing.

We're supposed to view them as friends because they cooperate with our government's military. They might even hold a few patents on something we're supposed to view as an extremely valuable product.

But the bottom line is, Israel, like most of our so-called allies, has never done anything to help the American people.

We have the largest prison system in recorded history and none of so-called allies, Israel included, can even stand a man at the border to say, "Mr. President, tear down these prison walls." In fact, most of so-called allies only act like they think most Americans belong in jail.

We have a certain group of Red people who sent our factories to their comrades in communist China, depriving Americans of jobs and causing great economic hardship to many American people. Did any of our so-called allies even boycott any of these now made in China products to show that they stand with the American people or do they just suck up to our government, maybe hoping they'll get their share of the loot the next time the Reds go handing out factories?

Israel might cooperate with our government's military and hold a few patents but there isn't any Israeli who is any friend of mine.

I think the word, "friend," is naive. Israel is a valuable ally to the US, and they have benefited us greatly during the Cold War and Israeli scientists have improved US fighter jets and military equipment, which is a godsend to us.

But, I don't think ANY country is a "friend" of another country. Friends are little children playing in the sandbox that don't know enough to keep an eye on each other. Smart allies, on the other hand, boost one another strategically but always keep an eye on the other party.

As far as allies go - Israel is our best ally in the Middle East, obviously. Egypt was a decent ally - and Egypt gets more of our money than Israel does, but Obama screwed that up and Egypt is now moving more toward Russia.

I don't even think Israel cooperates with us militarily. We are not permitted to station forces in Israel (we have to use Turkey and Saudi Arabia, two Muslim states) and they certainly were of no help in either of the gulf wars (I think most Americans are under the delusion that Israel provided us with vital intelligence, as if the U.S. military, with a $600,000,000,000 budget, cannot find targets on its own). AND, we wouldn't be ass deep into the Middle East were it not for Israel in the first place.

Wasn't that China thing one of Slick Willie J's (Wm Jefferson Clinton) several notable opportunities for us to catch a glimpse of what he/they really are at the core?

But that aside, how much would you be howling if the middle east was already nuclearized?

What if one or two M.E. nations had nuclear weapons?

It would be an entirely different kettle of fish we'd be sweating and fretting over right now.

That is, if they hadn't already detonated one or had a nuclear exchange threatening to trigger a global thermonuclear Holy War.

Well, thanks to Israel, all of that Sturm und Drang is nothing more than a hypothetical discussion.

    Why?
    ibid

When everyone else was bound by words and politics and made impotent it was only Israel who was able and willing to eliminate the nuclear reactors in Iraq and in Syria before they became operational.

That's just a taste of how Israel has been a friend to the USA and to peace and freedom loving people around the world.

And that's if they had done NOTHING else for the USA or which benefited us or advanced or protected our interests, which they have.

    Ingrate much?

    I LOVE AIPAC!

And you just called all of the racist, murderously hateful, Arab and Muslim enemies as 'nobodies.'

At least your post got SOMETHING right.

As well you should. AIPAC has allowed the U.S. to be controlled remotely.

How many goats would it take to haul a nuclear warhead from Pakistan to Tel Aviv?

    Good points indeed!

I have been wondering about a truly unusual benefit that Israel as well as American Jews may be bringing to America. Our alliance with Israel as well as our religious tolerance for Jews…….. may have given technologies beyond our comprehension a loophole that has allowed them to prevent terrible natural disasters from devastating the USA that may have occurred in other time lines.

In the following map you will see a USA about fifteen percent covered by oceans by January 1, 2013. We can laugh at this if we wish but….. our best theoretical physicists are telling us that time itself is not limited to being one straight line but can indeed branch and branch. In this other time line…….. America may NOT have had such a loyal alliance with the Middle EAst's only true democracy and………. the consequences to us in that other time line may have been pretty terrible.

At about the two minute mark in this film you will hear a lady from Mississippi state that UFO activity is fairly common where she lives.

Could it be that these UFO's are delaying and delaying a series of natural disasters that began in 1988 in the time line seen in the Dr. Chet Snow/ Helen WAmbach Ph. D. research?

It seems to me that perhaps YHWH/ The G-d of Abraham/ HaShem is producing reality films with deep educational, emotional and spiritual value.

Our relationship with the nation of Israel is a bit like an IQ test……… and at the 17 minute mark in the following film we are given a clue as to the answer to a crucial question that will affect our future.
