On the news this morning it is revealed that the black woman mayor of Baltimore ORDERED a stand down by the police so the rioters could loot and burn.

IMO business owners should sue the hell out of the city for not stopping the rioting in its tracks. Further they should demand and get the immediate resignation of this stupid mayor that pretty much approved of the riots.

Nah! The city would laugh at business owners; but what would set them back on their heels is if ANGRY insurance companies were to join forces to issue a class action lawsuit against the city for every last iota of riot caused damage due to the mayor's incompetence.

I do believe the city will pay for some of the damage, but the choice was, escalate the situation or let it burn out, hard calls

last night I think the cops did good at not escalating the situation, they very easily could of, but they did not, last night was a good night for the response from police

I think Baltimore will suffer some. The burned out mom and pops will probably not be able to rebuild and the national change stores like CVS may choose not to rebuild. Time will tell.

Well that certainly has been the normal reaction by economically damaged business people after such events, and such will probably also still be the case in Dem Party controlled Baltimore. But as you say . . . time will tell.

Democrat and blacks are fit to be tied. They cant blame the riots and burnings on Bush or the republicans.

However defined, the Mayor's comments were inflammatory and continue to be while trying to take them back. However, as in Ferguson and many never publicized events around the Country, she won't be held responsible and in the end US Tax payers will take the brunt for any rebuilding.

As for the current business that was damaged or financial hurt, whether they rebuild or try to make up the losses in not comparable to what's been lost to potential business and that has long been a problem in urban area, even outlawed of discouraged by liberal city governments.

IMO, what's being missed are the results of Liberalism or the general trend in States that practice the system, trying now to take it National, under Obama. People simply don't understand the needs of each State and their people, simply do not reflect those of others and should not be responsible for testing failed governments.

This Mayor is so naive about being a Mayor it's really kind of scary! She knows how to put makeup on but outside of that...not much!

there is no evidence that she gave a direct order to not stop violence, looting, or arson.

Like it or not you are absolutely wrong. Im listening to a report on the news right at this minute. The reporter is showing a liquor store that was being looted, and where the police were. They could see what was happening, but were ordered not to protect the business. The orders have to have come down from the mayors office.

So every Police Officer in Baltimore on that Monday night just on their own decided to stand there and let rioters throw rocks at them while they watched thugs loot and burn? Whatever. It's obvious that she gave the stand down order. I don't need to see the wind to know that I can feel it blowing against my face and I don't need to see or hear this woman give the order to know that she did in fact give it. It was as obvious as the wind blowing against your face.

Right wing talk radio, no doubt. Stephanie Rawlings Blake made no such statement, contrary to the lie that was manufactured by the right wing trash blog, the Blaze, and circulated around the noise machine over the last few days. The claim is based on a deliberate twisting of her words.

The Blaze also shopped the rumor that the leaders of the protests were all "out of town" agitators, which was rumor spread at the beginning of the week. This was also false.

Yes, there is. They arrested him without probable cause and ignored his repeated requests for medical assistance. The police killed him.

The police department already admitted that repeated request for medical assistance were ignored. We already know that he was not carrying an illegal switchblade knife, which is what the charging document claimed was the reason he was arrested.

We know he was arrested without probable cause and his repeated requests for medical assistance were ignored. These are facts.

Are they? So no need to have a trial then right? Just take them out and shoot them.

You claimed there was no evidence the police harmed him. You've been proven wrong. I'm sorry that's so upsetting to you.

Not upsetting to me at all. I'll just wait for the TRIAL. And when the police officers are acquitted, I'll just sit here and laugh...AGAIN

U.S. Attorney General Lynch should open an investigation on the Mayor of Baltimore who violated the civil rights of the citizens of Baltimore and the stake holders in Baltimore. Law abiding citizens expect the police to serve and protect and to uphold the oath of office they took and enforce the laws of the nation, not to stand by and watch criminals break the law.
