Ummm? You don't know what your talking about. I know you didn't read th article. It clearly states a 'compulsory buy back'. It means you don't get a choice. It is a plan from a senator. You bring in your guns take what they give you, or you go it jail.

That gave me a chuckle. Now my grandpa had a single barrel and a double barrel shotguns. He called the single barrel Tom and the double barrel Double Tom naturally. Now my dad and me never did name any of our guns.

You did not read it either she supposed said something then when you click the link in the article they have killed it, you do know the examiner is not to be trusted s a valid source, don't ya. FYI they go on more about what NT+Y is doing and are attempting to tie the two together, yellow journalism at is best. Feinstein has been and anti-gun legislator for years now, nothing new, she has exactly ZERO chances of getting any gun ban passed, period, oh my must be getting closer to an Election, Wash, Rinse, Repeat .......LOL

She has nothing to back what she wants to do. All she does, just like most liberals, is react with emotion, and without the facts.

Granted, but admittedly there are things which can happen beyond your power no matter how heavily armed you are.

It was never been stated otherwise. However there is a difference between being a victim of a series of unfortunate events that could have happened regardless of your presence, and some random individual making the conscious decision to victimize you for no justifiable reason. Nature and accidents do not seek you out for retribution for something you may have done without realizing it. Nature is without vengeance, and without a desire to target you. Mankind is not.

Ummm? That does not fall under 'no one is coming after guns'. There is someone, Feinstein, and she is planning on doing it.

we would not have background checks to check if you have the "privilege" to own a gun if everyone had the "right" to own a gun

some do want to take the right from Americans away, background checks are just the start of the process of making it a "privilege" rather then a "right"

using a gun while committing a crime illegal, not owning a gun.... even ex-felons and people with mental issues should have the right to protect their homes and families and hunt for food if they so choose

Google 'New York safe act'. After it passed they gave gun owners of now illegal guns a letter and 30 days to turn them in.

Feinstein can go (*)(*)(*)(*) herself. If you want to have an artuculate, thoughtful discussion, learn how to use punctuation and proper sentence structure. Your post looks like it was written by a drunk 5 year old with 4 fingers and no thimbs.

They say "no one wants to take your guns" after they try to take guns away and fail. They like to pretend their failures never happened.

Discuss how politicians calling for the mandatory surrender, and confiscation of legally owned firearms, does not amount to attempts at taking them away from their rightful owners.

its too bad we cannot make these graboids take a life bond. That being-those who deny ANYONE is interested in taking our guns away would forfeit their lives if someone tries to take our guns away

This is a federal plan by Feinstein. So it will be the Department of Justice, the FBI, and BATF that will come for the guns. Your welcome.

The New York Safe Act also confiscated guns. After it was passed they sent letters to all permit holders who own now illegal guns to turn them in 30 days.

Yup, there is a lot of no one out there who don't want to take guns. This isn't 1994 anymore . We learned our lesson, we won't let you catch us complacent again.

Nope, she might Want to do it, she might even Try to do it, but she will never accomplish it, you know it and I know it. There will always be some that believe outlawing guns will make us safer and want to push that agenda and there will always be some that believe that everyone citizen should be able to own and that no limits, rules or regulations should apply to them or anyone else, neither group will ever get their way so long as there remains a majority of rational people.

Simply because the political climate does not currently favor confiscation, does not amount to the claim that no one wants to deprive lawful owners of their legal firearms.

Try re-reading what I posted, I said there will always be those that will want to try, does not matter what the political climate is, unless the vast majority of Americans support a ban of all guns it cannot happen, I see the opposite being the fact of the matter and do not see that changing in our lifetime.

That would be true if the vast majority of Americans had a vote in congress or the Supreme Court. Political climate means everything, what if we had Sandy Hook shootings regularly? You think opinions might change?

The vast majority of united states citizens were outright opposed to the passage of the affordable care act. That did not stop those who voted for its passage.

What if. Thing is they are not happening and the answer to school shootings is not arming the teachers or students not is it taking away the rights of honest citizens, it is putting armed security in the schools. What if people stated using more common sense and stopped with the kneejerk reactions.

After Sandy Hook, there most certainly was a knee jerk reaction.... the left said "we must do something". Luckily, we have gun rights organizations with the help of many American citizens phoning, emailing and faxing their representatives that helped squash the proposed anti gun legislation. Obama got so mad that it didn't pass that he made 23 executive orders to "do something".
We have to be diligent. It will only take a few more Sandy Hooks to change peoples mind about more gun legislation.

And in the end Nothing was done, no people lost their right to own guns and no new laws were passed. If they were half way smart they would add security. Let me ask this simple question; IF for some reason the Federal or State government were to outlaw all guns and require everyone turn theirs in do you know even one person that would comply with the law, I don't, and if no one is willing to follow the law how on earth can they enforce such a law, laws do require that the masses support it or it is not worth the paper it is written on.
