russia unable to put cargo into space

    The gravitational field of every object extends out indefinitely. It does not technically "end".

    If there is a closed universe it ends. I read that in a multiverse that an infinite amount of universes abut up against one another. That'd be weird if you were at the edge of a universe and then you go a light year from where you are at and suddenly you are in another universe with potentially different laws of physics.

    That was my technical point when I originally entered this part of the conversation. People don't seem to get it. Therefore, Russia, us, or nobody else can technically leave the earths gravity. Escape velocity is entirely a different metric.

    Oh well...

    I shouldn't expect more from these novices who think they understand more than they do. Schools just don't demand the same as in the past.

    "Exceed" means greater than, not equal to, at least in my dictionary.

    So, maybe we should clarify "gravity" vs. "Inertia?"

    Regardless how you wish to nit pick, the original contention I said was wrong, is simply wrong.
