These days we read and hear about so many people being offended about nearly everything. Why should I or anyone care. With the latest shooting in the black church, all of a sudden so many people are offended by the historical Confederate flag. And the list goes on and on about what offends people. My question remains, why should I care what anyone is offended about. Do these people think they can go thru life without being offended? If their constitutions is that delicate, I suggest they get their blankie, crawl under their bed, suck on their thumb, and totally withdraw from society. Or--------- they can realize that society in general will hit them things they do not like, and just deal with it. BTW I am offended by many things, and I do not march in the street, whine, and resort to rioting in the street. I am offended by Obama, taxes, big government, muslim terrorist, liberals in general, and people that want to dictate what I should do, eat, and think, and say. Yet I can function quit well despite be offended by all of those things, and offended by all the people that are offended.
Will be looking forward to seeing your posts complaining about all the people "offended" by stores saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". Or the seeing your posts about all the Christians that are offended by having to sell products to gay couples getting married. Or.......was this just your faux outrage showing?
Yes I am offended by those things too, and many more. HOWEVER I do not riot in the streets, loot, and commit other illegal act. What I do is try to vote in people that are of a like mind with me. You know -------------obey the law and work within the system!!!!!
Using your own argument, why should I care about your opinion of protests? Not trying to be flippant, but you seem to be contradicting yourself.
The offended people of today remind me of Al Capp's comic strip and S.W.I.N.E. Students Wildly Indignant of Nearly Everything.
The "historical" Confederate battle flag is a symbol of hate. Where was the rioting in the streets of Charleston?
You have no legal obligation to be offended. I don't get that particular one either. Like soul-less redheads? Blame Oprah. I do. Why whine in the street when you can do it from the comfort of your own home? Air conditioning is NOT overrated.
Al Sharpton didn't get his marching orders from Obama. No community organizers causing trouble, no rioting, looting or burning down businesses. Have you ever noticed that ? If I remember correctly, Obama had more important things on his agenda, it was that time again to fly out to the left coast and pick up his money from the liberal elite.
they are offended with the state gov endorsing it.... that is the problem, you still have the right own a flag if you want.... I back you on being offending by the drug war, soda size war, over taxing cigarettes war, ect... those are legit complaints (both republicans and democrats need to stop invading our freedoms) but banning the flag from the capital is common sense and should of been done a long time ago .
tram Is that because I dont expect something for nothing? Is it because I am a Christian? Is it because I believe in personal responsibility? Is it because I dislike big government? Is it because I think abortion is murder? Is it because I worked hard for 47 years at one company, have a good retirement income, and while no means rich, I am comfortable? Or------------------is it because of all these things listed are what liberals hate?
