Let me explain something. All those in the picture have something to contribute to a university with the exception of the minority student. Forgetting the influence of the parents, the first two are probably high achievers like their parents, or attended schools which trained them better so it would be easier for them to attain good grades. The soccer player will build up the prestige of the school and the one raised in a distant state probably has something that makes them an asset to the school.

The only one not contributing to the university is the minority student, unless by some gift of God they are blessed with abilities above those of others. What I'm trying to say is that everything is not as simple as it looks.

And that's your fundamental mistake. The "marriage" being discussed (the question of which is now settled barring a Constitutional Amendment, which is a practical impossibility) is the civil version. I am a married man. To a woman. But there was nothing even remotely "religious" about our wedding. We were married on a beach, in front of only enough people to sign as witnesses, by a friend of ours who is (or was?) a Notary Public. It is in no way a "religious" institution, merely a "legal" one. And it is legally valid and binding. Which, fundamentally, is what ALL marriages

Probably? Your think because that kid is a minority he is 'probably' a lesser achiever than the one who's parents made a big donation to the school. You think he is 'probably' less of an asset than the one raised in a distant state... probably.

    Not a great explanation.

how about we take away the equal rights of homnophobes, no free speech, no right to religion, no marriage rights, ect... then when they complain about not having equal rights... we say.. what, what do you mean equal rights

you think they would learn what equal rights were then?

I think most of the minority children are lesser achievers than the whites with the big bucks in the same way that most poor white children will be lesser achievers than the ones with the big bucks. Does that answer your question?

You think most are lesser achievers if they are a minority ... or if they are poor and white. Yes, you are being very clear.

If that were the case, the courts would have struck down all laws that prohibit two consenting adults from marrying. They instead only struck down the laws that prevented homosexual couples from marrying.

Some said same-sex marriage should be discuss at congress first

But as far as i know congress determined that each state decided its own way of marriage law.

Still 14 state governments enacted law to oppose the same-sex marriage of other states. And now supreme court decided that to deny the marriage of other states is UNCONSTITUTIONAL

And some said the judgement shows the separation of powers, when legislate power is out of order, and all n all the judgement is constitutional.

but supreme court didn't force all states to enact same-sex marriage law right?

Please correct me if what I know is wrong

Or a President and a Supreme Court?

If the language in a statute doesn't matter, as Antonin Scalia pointed out in his dissent against the King v Burwell ruling (see my sig), then what's the point in paying people to write, enforce and interpret the language in statutes?

Answer: There is no point. We're just paying for the privilege of pretending that the rule of law exists in this country.

I begin to think that this Administration will force the State of Mississippi to adopt the Rainbow Flag as new State Flag ...

You are wrong. All states now must enact same sex marriage. And they now must recognize same sex marriages from other states, SPECIFICALLY because same sex marriage is no legal in their state.

Then I suggest you don't have gay sex, but how do you feel about viewing two gay women having sex? Does that make you throw up too?

The many more numerous children with a single parent and grandparent. Or any two closely related people who are prohibited from marrying in all 50 states. And no ones claimed anyone was denied a right to become a family. WE are talking about marriage.

As far as I can tell...
There is no same-sex marriage law needed because the same-sex people can use the already existing marriage laws.
It is like that since you may not discriminate same-sex people.

it's true in the same sense that the president makes law..... sure congress creates it, but the President makes it law or shoots it down (veto)

the SC also validates and makes policy, or they can say it's unconstitutional and shoot it down, such as was the case with same gender marriage bans

the supreme court can make or break a law..... simply by declaring it constitutional or unconstitutional.... what they can not do is write law

Valerie Jarrett has already ordered the U.S. military to allow the rainbow flag fly over military bases.

U.S. Air Force airmen have also been sighted dressed in drag.

Yeah, they compel the states to write the laws according to their dictates.
