See here in lies the problem. You can tell he is not interested in truly solving any problem but strengthening his arguments. The key is that he states you must BEGIN with a solution in mind. This means he is using conclusion justification logic and/or claim-evidence-reasoning. This is ok if you are trying to prove/disprove a specific hypothesis. As a device for seeking truth and root cause analysis there cannot possibly be a worse logical construction to make. It is clear by his own words he is not interested in a solution but in proving that he right.

Not being familiar with those statistics, I don't have an answer that is worth 2 cents.
    Crime rate, down.
    Wedlock births, down.
    Aids, down.

    How about your answers.

Slavery in Africa has not only existed throughout the continent for many centuries, but still continues in the current day in some countries. Systems of servitude and slavery were common in parts of the continent, as they were in much of the ancient world. In most African societies where slavery was prevalent, the enslaved people were not treated as chattel slaves and were given certain rights in a system similar to indentured servitude elsewhere in the world.[1][2][3] When the Arab slave trade and Atlantic slave trade began, many of the local slave systems changed and began supplying captives for slave markets outside of Africa.[4]
Slavery in historical Africa was practiced in many different forms and some of these do not clearly fit the definitions of slavery elsewhere in the world. Debt slavery, enslavement of war captives, military slavery, and criminal slavery were all practiced in various parts of Africa.[5]

Historically prior to European influence, Sub-Sahara extreme violence and slavery existed. Even Egyptian, Greek and Roman history describe it, so especially American influence is inconsequential when Muslims began selling African slaves to Europeans before the discovery of America.

Why not? We can discuss what would happen if all blacks left if you want.

Yes. They slaughtered and enslaved each other long before any Africans ever saw a white man.

That's because it isn't directed at you. What he is really asking them is who would you blame then, for your problems. Because most of the problems he is mentioning is self inflicted.

The same question was asked during the 1970's when the black communist terrorist were demanding that all whites leave then Rhodesia today known as Zimbabwe.

Guess what happened when the majority of the whites were either murdered or fled Rhodesia ?

Even the communist terrorist ANC in South Africa saw what happened and knew if they followed the same path as their commie brothers did in Rhodesia/Zimbabwe that South Africa today would be a bigger basket case than it already is today.

If all whites were to leave the USA today you would have one big Detroit.

    oh, that's nice.

brutally assault them, chain them, ship them to the USA while killing millions during the trip, enslave them, break up their families, make it illegal for them to learn to read and vote, then free them from slavery but institute an extreme system of Apartheid, and then finally ship them back to Africa??????

Other than slavery already existing in Africa before Europeans arrived, you make a good point.

Slavery existed in Europe also. What's your point? Did the Europeans go into Africa to rescue black people from slavery?

You ask about violence existing in Africa before the Europeans arrived. Slavery is the most extreme form of violence one human can commit against another.

It's irrelevant if Europeans already had slavery or not as it pertains to your statement.

It took nearly 60 years of untiring diplomacy and naval patrolling to finally abolish the Atlantic slave trade.

Mr. Woodson wrote an article in exchange for money, you posted it because you thought it worthy of rational discussion.

I think the criticism was properly directed.
