So you are actually telling me, a group that makes up 13% of the total US population which commits more murders than whites and Hispanics combined means nothing?

Don't look at the facts, go back to your feel good world where everyone is equal.

 

This is not my claim. I'm offering a counter argument based purely on your per capita logic. You're basically using debate sorcery to claim that a small number is somehow bigger than a larger number and my counter is simply an exaggerated example of that.

Per capita logic will have one believe that white supremacist have killed more Americans than blacks have. However, if you use raw numbers, you can simply say blacks have killed more Americans than any extremist groups.

Last, if using pc to determine dangerous populations, one must also factor in the likelihood of encountering members of those demographics.

 

You're not presenting facts. As I've already pointed out, the majority of African Americans have committed no murders. Dividing crime statistics by race is meaningless. You're grouping all African Americans together and holding them responsible for the actions of a small minority within that group. A person's race doesn't tell you whether they are more or less prone to violence.

Gang members account for almost half of all violent crime according to the FBI. And they're less than 1% of the population. Whether or not a person is a gang member tells you more than the color of their skin.

 

You are expecting consistency from people who are notoriously inconsistent.

They are experts at exempting themselves and their allies from the standards they so self-righteously apply to everyone else.

But good point nonetheless.

 

Urban gangs meet that definition, so they must be treated like the "terrorists" they are, no different than white supremacist groups.

 

If they want to play gang bangers and go around blowing each other's heads off, who are we to tell them they shouldn't be allowed to do it?
The thing that bothers me is the taxpayers being left on the hook when one of them just gets severely wounded and ends up in the hospital.

 

I have lived in and around Chicago my entire life. There are dozens of innocent people, to include children, that are killed as a result of their shootouts. If that isn't "terrorism", then I don't know what is.

It is obvious that you've never walked down the street in an urban area, or talked to African-Americans. If you had, you would know how completely off base and inconsistent with reality that your comments are. Black crime in the USA does have a nucleus with one consistent and common ideology. It is the concept that since their ancestors were brought to this country against their will, the laws of this country do not apply to them. Further, "radical bigotry" is the norm in the African-American community.

As far as the "unknown" column is concerned, it does not alter or negate the OP's statement. That column represents the murders that have not been solved. Even if all 4077 murders were proven to have been committed by whites (highly unlikely), then the total number of murders by whites are 8806 or 61% of the total number of murders. While, blacks have committed 5486 or 38% of the murders. Accordingly, Whites make up 72% of the US population, and Blacks make up only 12% of the population. So, statistically speaking, the OP's statement is accurate.

The difference between a white supremacist organization and 'blacks' is the former is a collective. That organization acts cooperatively and shares responsibility for it's collective actions. Blacks are not a collective. They are simply a statistical aggregate of folks who share an unrelated property.

Right handed people have killed more people than 'blacks' and white supremacists put together, but right handed people are not a threat because they do not acts as a collective. Neither do 'blacks.'

OK genius,that happened how long ago and according to you it's OK for Black on White homicide to occur. Here's the real number. Data strongly shows that less than 3500 Black were lynched as well as over a 1000 Whites. Then again there is the question of guilt involving said parties. Killer Jim Miller was lynched, was White and was guilty as hell of multiple homicides. If you look at interracial crime stats then Blacks are way ahead in the score. I say bring it.
