But your post, besides being an incoherant rambling mess, was also factually incorrect.

Can I assume Obama & Co made these comments at Ms. Steinle's funeral?

Why not? The US Dept. of Justice can immediately place the mayor of any sanctuary city under arrest for refusing to follow FEDERAL LAW! But Obama has stated clearly that he will not do so, and that makes him as guilty as the city and just as culpable in the death of the innocent girl in SF, as well as being responsible for every other crime committed by illegal immigrants because of his willingness in ignoring the law! CONGRESS ALONE has the duty to make laws under the Constitution!!! The president DOES NOT!!!

I dunno, she was just out pandering...er, I mean speaking about how she is against sanctuary cities....you know, she was for it before she started campaign...er, was against it...

I have to wonder though, which side of her mouth did she utter that?

Obama's administration's failure to enforce federal law and turning a blind eye to "sanctuary cities".

Right. I don't know what you expect Obama to do about him coming back in the country. Why hasn't congress secured the border to prevent anyone from entering?

When has a mayor been arrested in the 30 years of sanctuary cities?

Huh? You understand how the US legal system works right? You do know which branch of government writes and passes legislation right?

Why hasn't congress done anything about the border for the past 30 years?

As I read the above, I'm stunned that it's much worse than I thought. Some things simply defy logic. This would be one of those things.

The White House told ICE director Saldana in March not to ask sanctuary cities to cooperate with ICE after she appeared before Congress and asked for help with the problem (of noncooperation from sanctuary cities).

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/mar/20/deportation-chief-backtracks-sanctuary-cities/

She was told in no uncertain terms by the Obama regime not to eff with sanctuary cities. People claiming Obama bears no responsibility in the death of Kathryn Steinle just don't know what's going on.

I think I can do that! Opening up travel to Cuba!

Mr. Earnest said. “It’s because of the political efforts of Republicans that we have not been able to make the kind of investment that we would like to make in securing our border and keeping our communities safe.”

    I wonder what changed?

    Perhaps this: http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2...ence-may-have-disparate-impact-on-minorities/

From what I can gather:Environmentalists and an Obama-appointed judge stopped the securing of the border.

For some strange reason criminals just seem to ignore the laws.

    - - - Updated - - -

What should happen to the Federal Agent who's gun it was?

Yes. This is not a failure of "our immigration system". This is a failure of government, pure and simple.

March is the same month that FedGov handed over Sanchez to San Francisco, to face a 20-year-old drug charge.

In April, San Francisco dropped the drug charge, and since they don't "recognize" federal detainers they let Sanchez go.

San Francisco did their usual thing, which they've been doing for years, and which everyone knows about - they simply ignored the detainer. FedGov knew this was going to happen. Saldana knew this was going to happen. But she was told to "stand down". So, there was no further action on either side, and Sanchez fell through the cracks of our system.

Sanchez is exactly the kind of illegal alien we don't want. A repeat drug offender, including trafficking. Burglary. Crimes in multiple states. Deported five times! Clearly, he's going to keep coming back to commit more crimes.

And as long as he can keep coming back, he will. He already has a well established pattern and history of it.

So, here the zillion dollar question: how do you keep a guy like that out?

There's only one answer: secure the border.

Until the border is secure, it doesn't matter whether there are sanctuary cities or not.

In a way, this Sanchez case is distracting us from the real issue, which is border security.

I'll bet they counted every time as a "new" deportation.

The "federal agent" in question was a ranger, an employee of the Bureau of Land Management.

What he was doing in SF to get his gun stolen, isn't exactly clear. Has anyone seen the police report on this one?

Christmas Island in the Indian Ocean is home to Australia's Immigration Detention Centre.

I used to chide the Aussies for doing this, but I think I've changed my mind. We should convert one of the Aleutian or Hawaiian Islands into our own Christmas Island Immigration Detention Center. Get caught in the U.S. illegally and off to the island till your status is resolved.

You're halfway there. The other half is to take away the incentives for them to come, and let's face it.......with our current political makeup that ain't gonna happen. The Feds. are going to do nothing until the day after Mexico officially annexes us.
