How does driving over the speed limit harm another person? People do it all the time. Try again.

So do the religions that want to ban SSM have preference over the ones that want SSM?
Where does your religious belief trump mine? Is it because you have 20 more members in your church?

Thoughtful contribution. I love the idea of awarding money to a charity, totally agree this practice would reduce frivolous lawsuits.

So if my religious beliefs can put others at risk, they should be outlawed? But wait! Illegal discrimination is outlawed.

One isn't forced to live in a country with taxes. But if you want to use the public roads and other public services, you must pay taxes.

My daddy used to say, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. And if a christian, don't make death threats.
In other words, be more Jesus like. Jesus never hated, nor made death threats.

One must believe the "death threats" actually are real and not just manufactured as a smear job. Frankly, I believe the threats are just phony another smear job against Christians. You are free to believe what you like.

I don't care who you are, it is ridiculous to believe that anyone should be paid $100k because their feelings were hurt.

Hell I was in a freaking wreck recently where an SUV plowed into the rear end of my vehicle while I was sitting at a red light. My car was totaled and I dealt with severe headaches for 3 weeks straight and back pains for 4 months. All I got was around $5k to cover the loss of my vehicle, medical expenses and a few hundred left over for me lol.

But some person got their feelings hurt and they get a monster pay day?

You kind of do, with gas taxes at the pump your tax is related to usage. As cars are going electric, politicians are exploring a GPS based 'mileage' tax that may replace the pump tax.

Yes it is. The Christophobes and fascist bullies who attacked, vandalized, gave death threats to and threatened the suppliers and vendors of innocent businesspeople who were merely following their faith are despicable. As is the actions of the local city officials who actually gave credence and support to the homofascists and their advocates.

The bakers got death threats, had their vendors threatened if they did business with them, and had their business vandalized by the bullies in the "tolerance" brigade. http://www.katu.com/news/investigators/Sweet-Cakes-responds-to--222094901.html

The bakers had done business with the "couple" before. They just refused to be participants in a ceremony that was in opposition to their beliefs.

The bakers are still the victims. Their business is wrecked. Only someone who has actually owned a business that he built from nothing and then lost it due to frivolous litigation can understand this.

Unlike most of you, I have actually read the findings of fact in this case. One of the two plaintiffs was found as a matter of fact to have dramatized and exaggerated her claims. Why she was permitted to recover more in damages than something exemplary, like 1 penny, is beyond me.

Gay guy demands cake = end of world for some Christians.

To bad there isn't an Academy Award for most pathetic post - these teeth gnashing, cloth rending threads about the horrors
that some Christians are going through when gays demand service would sure generate a number of nominations.

Pizza guy refuses pizza to gays - makes $800,000.

Baker refuses gay guy a cake - makes $350,000.

Meanwhile, over 10,000 same sex marriages have been conducted without problems.

And we thought gay people could be overly-dramatic ... they need to take some lessons from the Church if they want to compete in next years
    award ceremonies.

The law outlaws discrimination on religion. It does not give religious people the right to discriminate.
