IMO that when blacks continue to riot, burn, and kill, there is no way they are going to get respect.

Where is Obama, Jackson, and Sharpton and other black leaders?? Why are they not telling other blacks that marching in the streets that turn into riots is no way to get respect and equality?

Further IMO the more that this lawlessness takes place, the more hate and discontent blacks are causing, the the bigger divide there will be in society.

Pretty much until Black community leaders spend as much time denouncing -- for instance -- the Michael Brown type thugs and thug culture as they spend looking the other way for political reasons, the Black community on the whole will definitely remain behind the eight ball so far as EARNED respect goes. Why should people alive today who aren't responsible for the inception of the country be respected because of someone else's accomplishment? Should they be condemned because of the slave holders who shared their race, as well. You don't get credit for someone else's work. What have you done? That's all that people should be able to take credit (or blame) for.

Name calling doesn't win arguments. Do you believe violent thug blacks choose their behavior or is it their nature ?

 

First, rioting is wrong and the people who did shouldn't have. Second, I seriously doubt that they care about anyone's respect. Did the rioters get on TV and say please respect me? Would that even make sense? They're obviously motivated by some other desire.

Most people care about their opinion of themselves, not the opinions of others who have their own faults. Such judgments tend to be hypocritical and everyone can see through them.

Myself, personally? I joined the military when I didn't have to, because I love this nation. Afterwards I worked hard all my life and obeyed the rules. What have YOU done to earn respect?
