Incorrect. Only 1% of abortions are over 20 weeks, which is around 10,000 (with a million abortions per year). There are around 30,000 firearms deaths per year.

With over 300 million people in the country, one million abortions per year is actually pretty low.

over 50% of women who abort were using contraception in the month they conceived. As for those who didn't:

At 8 weeks a fetus has functioning brain waves, why isn't it considered a person?

no it does not, the "brain waves" measured are actually electrical current that all living things produce, the level of "brain waves" in an 8 weeks fetus is almost exactly the same are produced by a bowl of Jello.

Here is an ample debunking of the "fetal brain activity" - http://www.svss-uspda.ch/pdf/brain_waves.pdf

I understand, defending wanton homicide is impossible so you just post silliness.
    - - - Updated - - -

The videos just confirm what everyone already knew, but abortion advocates are Pissed for being called out.
    - - - Updated - - -

So homicide is the natural next best alternative???

If there are homicides taking place call the police.

""""The videos just confirm what everyone already knew, but abortion advocates are Pissed for being called out"""

If "everyone already knew" then why didn't the law step in ? Why didn't it get reported sooner....if "everyone already knew" then the video wasn't even necessary.

No, the facts are there was nothing to "know". PP follows the law and procedures and has never been shown to do anything else.

Homicide is not the topic here. And why did you reply to my question with a question instead of answering it.

Will any Prolifers openly claim they want all transplants outlawed? That is the issue, isn't it?

They should admit if a newborn has a terminally defective heart that it is immoral to use a transplant to save it's life, because the baby's death is "prolife." The body parts are being "harvested" for a reason, specifically for use with born living babies and people who need transplants. Apparently prolife claims all those babies must die for the sake of morality - and instead the remains of miscarriaged and aborted fetuses must be discarded.

If so, all transplants including from deceased adults, also must be outlawed as that also is harvesting body parts. The old people with bad hearts and such must die for the sake of the sanctity of corpses.

Actually they are not using whole organs for transplant and I doubt they are using partial organs even, It is the size difference that would make this physically impossible

So the purpose of buying the body parts is?

There is so much science fiction in this debate I do not know where to start

Mostly from what I can find it is RESEARCH and the majority were research requested by the mother/parents

It is possible and increasingly done to apply foetal tissue transplantation - but that involves the use of embryonic stem cells

I am a leftists, and I believe we all have a civil duty protect one another, no matter our age, ability, development or location.

I believe we are obligated to care for other human beings when they are in need, especially when those human beings are our own children.

An abortion at 23 weeks is sick.

There are a few other men that demand a dead fetus remain in a woman, yes. Most aren't in this country.

No an abortion at 23 weeks is usually for non-viability

Later abortions are overwhelmingly for foetal abnormality incompatible with life or probable poor quality of life

Would you demand that a woman carrying a 'cotton wool baby' birth that poor wee thing only to see it suffer and die?

Are you suggesting (Senator) Joseph McCarthy is NOT cryogenically frozen?

I am suggesting that all of those who are claiming that this is all part of some illegal organ trade actually learn facts

That is a terrible condition, and I generally do not have a problem with the mercy killing of babies with extremely severe abnormalities.
However, I am just not sure the particular condition you described justifies killing the child in this case.

I mean look at this video:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oM5Am04eIIE

Do you think this kid should have been 'put out of his misery' when he was younger?
