People aren't profiled the same way for being the child of a single parent.. you could redo the research in the video I provided with individuals of coupled and single parents, but you would not get the same results. The fact of the matter is people see a black individual, and they make the assumption that the individual is more dangerous based on their skin color

So how do you interpret the fact that more Caucasians are killed year in and year out by cops than are African Americans.

I don't. And that has nothing to do with it.. What does have to do with it is the fact that the children of single parent families are far more likely to become involve in criminal activities than are those of two parent families and African Americans, thanks mostly to the great American welfare state, are three times as likely to come from such families as Caucasians. Here's another stat for you to deal with African Americans are involved in far more than 31 percent of criminal arrests but represent only 31% of those shot by Police. Do these numbers not in fact represent the idea that police rather than hunting down and killing black criminals are in fact going out of there way to avoid doing so?

Did you get these latest talking points from Democratic Underground? Let's set the record straight(which Democrats never do). What Republican States didn't do(like Sarah Palin during her last days as Alaska governor) was to reject the money that would fund the expansion of Medicaid under the ACA.

Wanna know why? Ohio's running a 2 Billion deficit(It's why Kasich will never win the GOP nomination and like Christie should go back to trying to fix that hell hole). Not only did the money not cover the expansion, but the expansion itself would cost the State money. Only an IDIOT would have accepted the Medicaid expansion. It just didn't make good business sense.

So ostensibly, Liberals want the poor red states to make even worse economic decisions. Now they'll cry "So you put economic health over the health of the uinsured!?" Sorry to be a cold hard ass, but yeah. You guys complain about Kansas, right? We'd be moving in Kansas territory by making bad decisions like that.

The ACA is just so fundamentally flawed as written, it should've never passed. And so, I can hear the cries now. "Single-Payer!". Yes, that would certainly alleviate the costs on the State-level, by putting them on the National Level! As seen in Vermont and in Boston, such a program would cost billions and it will be supported by taxes.

Not just on those 'filthy rich', but on the middle-class/poor. And the same disadvantages of the ACA will apply. You'll work less hours, get less wages for it and meanwhile the Dimwit Party is going to hold that up as some kind of accomplishment. Same party that in the same breath complains about lower wages.

Here's a hint to Liberals: The way to cut health care costs isn't to ensure everyone. We were just complaining about how these people were using hospital beds. Now THINK people, is them using a card any different from not being accounted for? No, not at all. The cost of giving them care is "diversified", but it still exists. Liberals pulled the wool over the eyes of many gullible Americans, many of whom ARE liberals.

The way to truly lower health care costs, is to lower the usage of health care. You have to understand this about health care: It's an inelastic market, which means that the goods aren't always resupplyable. The idea that you could "single-coverage" anybody in an inelastic market only comes from the most dimwitted of the dimwits.

We need to do this like we do with doctors: Children hospitals for children. Adult(18-54) hospitals for adults. Elderly for the Elderly.

Basically break up and desegregate the health care market. Compartmentalize it into much smaller pieces, so they can actually fit.

the science does not agree with you.. did you watch the video? it explains perfectly why unarmed black people are more likely to be killed by police

here's more on how the subconscious profiles individuals

and based on your response, you are likely one to see a black person and make the assumption that they are more dangerous.. and it is this subconscious reaction (or in your case, subconscious+conscious) which is why a black person with no weapon is more likely to be shot and killed by police than a white person.. and yes black people are more likely to be shot and killed by police, 20 times more likely in fact, but much more than that, they are unarmed more than double the rate of the white people who were shot

Also, OF COURSE more people are arrested by the police than killed by the police. The whole point of the video (which I do not believe you watched) wasn't that subconscious profiling gives people the motive to go out and kill people, but that in the heat of the moment people are more likely to make the error of shooting an unarmed individual if they are black than if they are white. This is true whether the gunman is black or white

Everyone has had, and currently has "access" to quality health care... Just f**king pay for it out of your own pocket and stop demanding that I help you through confiscatory tax rates.

Why is this so hard to understand?

In truth, most sane White people DO NOT want ANY of what Black people have endured in this society over many centuries. The idea suffering in that way for even a generation, scares the crap out of any 'sane' culture.

Still, the truth is... Black Americans are STILL living in an unusually hostile environment. And thank goodness that some White (an other) Americans can see that... even help out.)

Call me a racist or whatever you like, but it is not true that our bodies are all the same on the inside. Carson's statement that we are all the same on the inside is a wishy-washy statement that doesn't ring true. Ask the good doctor if uses just any old blood for transfusions during the surgeries he performs; or, if he does blood typing first. Ask him why people of African descent have a higher proclivity for the genetic diseases of sickle cell anemia, and Beta Thalassemia; why Africans have a higher propensity for heart disease, diabetes, stroke, hypertension, and asthma; why they have higher testosterone levels than other races; why different 'races' have different bone densities; why genetic testing can reveal a person's ancestors' migration history, and evolutionary history. Just the differences in genetic and physical traits is practically enough to label some 'races' as different species. Other factors that are used to determine one species from another include geographical niches (Africa and Northern Europe), and differences in behavior. As a doctor, Mr. Carson knows the genetic and physical differences between 'races'. To pretend otherwise is just him playing to the PC crowed.

It seems that you’re getting your “facts” from fox news, which is why they’re all wrong.
The Medicaid expansion doesn’t cost states money – it saves them money, by reducing uncompensated care. The states that DID accept the expansion (Kentucky and Arkansas) saw huge savings.
http://statenetwork.org/wp-content/...ificant-Budget-Savings-and-Revenue-Gai....pdf
Lemme say something about the right and obamacare. The right opposes obamacare, due to fundamentally ideological reasons. However, they have a problem. The problem is,
Obamacare actually works. All the data show it works. So how can the right wing continue to oppse a policy that is clearly successful? By putting out lies and repeating them—so much that people take them as fact without checking the actual facts. They lied that obamacare costs states money—but several studies have shown that It saves money. They lied that premiums will skyrocket—but data has shown that premiums have come in below expectations. They lied that it would increase the deficit. But actually repealing Obamacare would increase the deficit. They lied that it woudn’t really lower the uninsured. But data show that the uninsured have dropped tremendously—were about 80% of the way to full coverage! They lied that people would hate their coverage, but satisfaction with obamacare coverage is actually quite high. In the end, Obamacare has been a highly successful program, coming in below cost, and delivering fully on its promises. If you look at actual studies, and data, that’s what you see, the talking heads on fox news, notwithstanding.

Oh yes I can see how warm and fuzzy Hilary Clinton is and how much she cares about all of us. Shes a regular Mother Theresa that one.
Right because calling all people "delusional" who have a belief system isn't judgmental at all. Conveniently though you seemed to skip over that remark didn't you.

For once are you actually implying a white life is equal to a black life and black people aren't superior to white people? Can it be that Superbadbrutha realizes we're all people who bleed the same color and we all deserve some dignity? I really hope you realize my life as an autistic white man is worth just as much yours as a black man. Hence ALL LIVES MATTER! Because if you say otherwise that your life as a black man is superior to my life and matters more than my life as a white developmentally disabled man, there is no way that can't be considered prejudice.

Yeah all lives matter just as long as you have no belief system right? Because clearly anyone who is theistic is just a worthless moron whose life doesn't matter. I guess you're one of the examples of a humane liberal you talked about earlier lol.

I hope that its not true. I think its just probably the same story as Herman Cain. The conservative and liberal media seem to want to keep any black people out of the race who hold any views other than liberal ones. So they discredit whatever conservative candidates are black. Its unacceptable and wrong. I thought Herman Cain was a great candidate and Ben Carson is an even BETTER candidate IMO. He should have a fair chance to compete without being run out of the elections with unfair discrediting libel and slander like Herman Cain was and I hope that isn't the media's plan with this new gay hate rumor.

I'm pretty sure Cain was against gays, but recently I heard Carson was too. I'll look out for articles.

You are right about the media and political people wanting to keep blacks from being conservative. It's weird, like a tradition they uphold for no reason.

I'd say many black people out there who are hyperdefensive, prejudice and have chips on their shoulders have reason to hate white people. Mostly because we live in a culture where we convince black people that they can't be conservative and they can't be different in the way they think or many blacks, whites, etc will alienate them. I would be bitter too if I was force fed a ton of crap and expected to have scripted thought because "Well this is how most black people think so this is how you should think". Unfortunately, this also applies to me since I have a developmental disability. Almost every autistic I know is a liberal because they are expected to be. The liberals provide autistics with services. But I don't want to be paralyzed on services. I want to work and make something of myself. Ben Carson is an inspiration to me as a person who is a minority. He doesn't succumb to group think and racial roles. I have massive amounts of respect for him for that.

I'm lucky I'm a bit left wing.

I understand what you are saying. Don't you feel a bit guilty about the autistic people who feel they can't work and need the benefits? I think it's about not leaving the weaker ones behind. I'm fairly weak myself actually.

just because you're a moron, doesn't mean your life doesn't matter. Doesn't mean you're necessarily worthless either.

any insult that can be more easily applied to you, than to the person you are addressing, is bound to be a ineffective.

actually, it's not. Someone who is delusional is simply someone who believes in something that isn't real. And since god isn't real (and there's plenty of evidence for that), to call someone delusional is simply a statement of reality. I didn't say that all religious people were bad people. That would be judgmental.

I dont think anyone said that disabled lives dont matter. In fact, disabled people are protected by the ADA, and mentally disabled people are immune from execution and prison (unless the republicans get their way). Ironically, some Republicans have advocated executing the mentally disabled. So I guess here we go again - democrats believe that mentally disabled peoples lives matter; republicans - not so much.

But it is agencies, liberal governments (like where I live in NY) and liberal schools convincing autistics who can do a lot that it is better for them to sit around and do nothing. Its almost as if they discourage independence. Then they give us these horribly poor job agencies who tell us we're unemployable and better off not working. It shouldn't be about making the weak, weaker but helping them to become stronger. I want to have value and I'm certain other autistics do also. We need to get out of this mentality in our society that we need safety nets and learn to fly on our own. If we fall we get back up and try again. It never helps anyone to just be handed something. Its better to be taught how to obtain it for yourself.

I think its just time government stopped encouraging autistics, blacks, or any other minorities to be dependent on them but rather give the opportunity to have the tools necessary to be independent. Just handing a black person or an autistic person money should be seen as insulting and devaluing in the way its done. The message sent seems like its "We don't believe in you so here's some money so you can feel even more helpless and hopeless." Its a new form of slavery but betrothed to the democratic government. Not to mention they are very quick to punish you should you decide to start working and providing for yourself by sending out fees and bills. Asking for exorbitant sums of money back that you received while you needed it, simply because you want to make it on your own and were just biding your time. They do this in hopes you'll be broke enough to be on their services again and usually that's what winds up happening. Big Government wants to be the hero.

I've lived this and been in the democratic system all my life living in a blue state, so I know what my government and the state agencies think of autistics. It is a very pitying, patronizing, charity case viewpoint they have of me and other autistics. It needs to change.
