Here we go again. More hypocritical double standards to kowtow to muslims...again. Could you imagine the outrage if a public schools was doing this with the Bible?

Teacher Forces Student To Recite: ‘All People Must Submit To Allah’, Parents Fight Back

According to recent reports, two Los Angeles parents made the decision to pull their son out of class after finding out that his teacher was teaching him the tenets of Islam. The parents reportedly pulled their son from a class at Manhattan Beach Middle School after the principal told them that the school had no intentions of changing their curriculum.

According to a report from KTLA, the parents told the school that they would not object to their son learning the history of Islam, but the school had gotten into the religious teachings.

“The audacity of this school, to think that they can sit these children down and teach them whatever religion they please,” the boy’s father told KTLA. “It’s preposterous. This is illegal, basically. You can’t teach religion in schools anymore.”

In one question on the boy’s homework, he was asked to write the teachings from the Quran.

“What I saw written in these bubbles was, ‘The one true God, Allah’ in one of the bubbles,” the father went on. “In one of the other bubbles was ‘All people must submit to Allah’ in another bubble. Then I turned the page over and saw the five pillars of Islam.”

The school has not responded to requests for comment

This does happen without complaint. There's a teacher in the public school where I work who gives his students a Bible quote every Friday on which to write a one-page analysis. Some of the teachers kind of snicker about it behind his back, but in 6 years, not a single parent has complained.

This is from back in 2014, and from what I remember the parents completely misrepresented the assignment. And no, there is no law saying that you can't teach public school tenants what the main tenants of major religions are.

While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian George Washington

Suppose a nation in some distant Region should take the Bible for their only law Book, and every member should regulate his conduct by the precepts there exhibited! Every member would be obliged in conscience, to temperance, frugality, and industry; to justice, kindness, and charity towards his fellow men; and to piety, love, and reverence toward Almighty God ... What a Eutopia, what a Paradise would this region be John Adams

The general principles, on which the Fathers achieved independence, were the only Principles in which that beautiful Assembly of young Gentlemen could Unite, and these Principles only could be intended by them in their address, or by me in my answer.

And what were these general Principles? I answer, the general Principles of Christianity, in which all these Sects were United: And the general Principles of English and American Liberty, in which all those young Men United, and which had United all Parties in America, in Majorities sufficient to assert and maintain her Independence.

"Now I will avow, that I then believe, and now believe, that those general Principles of Christianity, are as eternal and immutable, as the Existence and Attributes of God; and that those Principles of Liberty, are as unalterable as human Nature and our terrestrial, mundane System."
    John Adams

I am a real Christian – that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus Christ Thomas Jefferson

Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual. ... Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us John Hancock

Here is my Creed. I believe in one God, the Creator of the Universe. That He governs it by His Providence. That He ought to be worshipped.

"That the most acceptable service we render to him is in doing good to his other children. That the soul of man is immortal, and will be treated with justice in another life respecting its conduct in this. These I take to be the fundamental points in all sound religion, and I regard them as you do in whatever sect I meet with them.

    "As to Jesus of Nazareth, my opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the system of morals and his religion, as he left them to us, is the best the world ever saw, or is likely to see;

"But I apprehend it has received various corrupting changes, and I have, with most of the present dissenters in England, some doubts as to his divinity; though it is a question I do not dogmatize upon, having never studied it, and think it needless to busy myself with it now, when I expect soon an opportunity of knowing the truth with less trouble. I see no harm, however, in its being believed, if that belief has the good consequence, as probably it has, of making his doctrines more respected and more observed; especially as I do not perceive, that the Supreme takes it amiss, by distinguishing the unbelievers in his government of the world with any peculiar marks of his displeasure
    Benjamin Franklin

Deny all that you want, this nation was founded and grounded in Christianity

Indeed. But no religion should be pushed on to anyone.

Again, those tenants and practices need not be pushed on anyone.

Slavery is one of the 12 economic systems of distribution.
It has a bad name, now.
In the past, most all the European world functioned and survived by Serfdom.
Serfdom was the only system of economics, except for communism in the Military, and the socialism of the one Church, unless one was a capitalist aristocrat who owned the farm land.

In early days of British America, many people took positions of Indentured Servants, that was a payless position with only room and board as compensation for transportation to America.

In India, today, a billion people are called Untouchables, and virtually slaves now, more like the Serfs of Europe were.
They were born into this economic system, as were their parents.
They have no other way to survive.
And no one knows what other method right now would change the conditions.

Feminism has not changed the way women are treated but made things much worse for them.
Christianity changed how women were treated by the patriarchies like Islam, Japan, China, etc.
    Feminism doubled the labor force.
The number of jobs stayed the same, so wages became depresses to about half.

So women work and so do their husbands, unless they are single and on Welfare.
In both cases, their kids suffer.
But single mothers, now half or more of the population, raise bastards kids that suffer enormous Child Abuse.
They grow up to represent 70% of the violent criminal element.

Mothers instincts must suffer too, I am sure.

And yet our founding fathers still believed that the Church should be separate from the State.

“As to religion, I hold it to be the indispensable duty of government to protect all conscientious protesters thereof, and I know of no other business government has to do therewith. ” - Thomas Paine

“… I contemplate with sovereign reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should ‘make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,’ thus building a wall of separation between Church and State.” - Thomas Jefferson

"The United States of America have exhibited, perhaps, the first example of governments erected on the simple principles of nature; and if men are now sufficiently enlightened to disabuse themselves of artifice, imposture, hypocrisy, and superstition, they will consider this event as an era in their history. Although the detail of the formation of the American governments is at present little known or regarded either in Europe or in America, it may hereafter become an object of curiosity. It will never be pretended that any persons employed in that service had interviews with the gods, or were in any degree under the influence of Heaven, more than those at work upon ships or houses, or laboring in merchandise or agriculture; it will forever be acknowledged that these governments were contrived merely by the use of reason and the senses. " - John Adams

“The civil government … functions with complete success … by the total separation of the Church from the State.” - James Madison

“The [president] has no particle of spiritual jurisdiction. . . .” - Alexander Hamilton

“[E]very one must act according to the dictates of his own reason, and mine tells me that civil powers alone have been given to the President of the U.S. and no authority to direct the religious exercises of his constituents.” - Thomas Jefferson

Snopes rated it a half crock of crap, but to me, that means that whatever facts were in that story were stretched totally out of shape by the KKKristians.

For starters comparing indentured servants to slavery is a joke. My great grandparents were indentured servants in Hawaii in the early 1900s it was both voluntary and temporary.

And your defense of treating women like property is just laughable

Way to lump The Christian faith in with slavery and discrimination - two things many prominent Christians fought against.

Christianity, a 2000+ year old religion finally changed their tune in regards to slavery 150 years ago. Congrats, we're all so impressed.

You can at least acknowledge that the word "slavery" has become exclusively associated with chattel slavery, but prior to the colonial rape of Africa "slavery" was a term that broadly included voluntary servitude. In other words, "indentured servant" was simply a more humane form of slavery.

Slavery predates Christianity by millennia, but why should that stop you from associating the two?

It shouldn't. God himself was a vehement supporter of slavery practice in the Old Testement. And there is no renouncing of that policy in the new testament whatsoever.

Slavery and Christianity are long time bedfellows.

    What was the joke?
Slavery is just one of the 12 types of economic systems mankind uses.
It isn't necessarily bad, nor mandatory either as in the case of your parents.'It is just a necessary situation one which could go on for a life time.

Jesus and Moses both set down rules in regard to treating slaves in socially acceptable ways.
Of course, often in Wars, especially, people were allowed to live if they would be slaves, which was very common in the past and is used now by ISIS in the Middle East.
    Not nice.
But if that is the only terms for the deal, tat is what is offered.

Christian were even told they must be slaves to Christ.
You are confusing economic dynamics with Religion.

Christ did say stuff about slavery, because he realized some people will be slaves.
We see prisoners once worked the chain gang, that was their penalty.

It's true. Slavery and Christianity go together like peanut butter and jelly. Jesus and his pops both big time pro slavery.

Now this is a different matter.
Feminists caused the Sexual Revolution in 1960.

These women managed to replace the baby dolls girls grew up using with Barbie Dolls.
Baby dolls taught girls that motherhood was an ideal, and to raise the family was an essential social task which allows civilization to form.

The Barbie doll taught girls that sexy looks can be used to get things from men, and that their focus ought be there.
They forgot that they already were getting everything a guy earned, and according to the Law, he was responsible for her, her children, her health and food, and housing, SS, and etc.

They ended up demanding to work.
    Really stupid, indeed.
    LOL

Guys KNOW they have to pay us to do that.
    Girls did not know this.
Girls continued to work as wages stagnated and the excess labor meant wages would fall accordingly.

From 1960 through 2015, wages stayed way down as shown by the Min Wage levels.
Today, employers get both the husband and the wife working for half what they would have had to pay before Feminism started.

Good paying jobs went to women making sure some guy went without.
That meant that his wife had a guy who barely made it weekly.
Meanwhile the Feminist never married, or married to late to have child, or had only one child.

Bu the real crime was Welfare.
Feminists made single mothers respectable people.
They soon became so numerous that Welfare costs $1 trillion dollars in 2011.

The taxes were more that the Military Budget!
And the kids of single mothers represented 70% of all violent criminals in America.
They got packed inside every city.
The crime made cities the worst place to be.

    Prison filled up.
    Courts filled up.
Schools failed 50% of the kids because they did not even attend.

That was just the starters, too.

Find us a time, including today, when there was no slavery?
Jesus and Moses both recognize that slavery is a human condition which will never disappear.
Even criminals are slaves when in jail.

Jesus and Moses included them as members if they would willing join in.
And especially in prison they do join.

The Hebrew patriarchs taught their kids the same thing.
The whole issue is about using force to stop people from teaching your kids that sex is for fun, and one can be irresponsible about it.

Christianity says we need use the Truth, and show our kids how sex can destroy a family, a person, a kid raised by a single mother, and even destroy the whole nation.
We have the Statistical evidence, now.
Christians need teach muslims and evil doers, both, the Truth can change behavior.
