It's getting a bit crazy in the US. I'm not talking about your average every day caution about terrorists coming over with refugees. These two items below are way beyond how reasonable people, who aspire to be President, should behave. Do they have any idea what this is doing to America's reputation? Christie's comments that he'd refuse child orphan refugees were bad enough but this is over the top. Ben Carson compares refugees to 'rabid dogs'. Donald Trump refuses to rule out requiring Muslims to carry identification showing their faith.
Yeah it's not looking good right now. It seems they're both in a race to see who can say the most outrageous things. The sad thing is that neither has offered a well thought out solution to the issue.
At this point I'm pretty inoculated to the comments of these people. People have already decided how they feel about these candidates and these comments is not going to change anything.
That race has been going on in the Republican Party since the other candidates realized that Trump's outrageous statements resonated with the Republcan primary voter. - - - Updated - - - No what needs to be done is to tattoo all the Christians. Then we will know to discriminate against everyone that is not tattooed.
I think it was a couple of months ago that Ban Ki Moon warned that the language coming out of Europe was reminiscence of that in the 30's towards Jews and lo and behold the Daily Mail has really got set in better sized images at link
By relating what Trump said about religious identity cards, to the yellow stars worn by the Jews in Nazi Germany was pure manipulation by the media...who seem to specialize in brainwashing. There is no way one person's religious faith can be designated without doing the same for all the other faiths. It would go against our Constitution. As for Carson, he was pandering to the sentiments of the voters. It was pure demagoguery.
Very strange cartoon. There's a well off European man in a 1920's or 1930's golfing outfit with a suitcase. A Muslim woman in a hijab with a child. The other two men with caps appear to be Jews. One is wearing the fur hat worn by the Orthodox Jews from Romania, and the other one looks like a Russian Jew from around the turn of the last century.
